Visited Trattoria Il Panino for lunch drink Restaurant Week. We had to specifically ask for the special Restaurant Week Menu. Both my dining companion and I had looked at the special menu online and the only difference we noted when at the restaurant was that dessert had been eliminated but they were continuing to charge the 3 course price of $20.12. We both had a 2 course lunch and concluded that the food was good but certainly nothing special. The portions were ample and pricing was reasonable. Related to Il Panino Express across the street, I expected much more from the Trattoria Il Panino. With so many other choices available in the North End, neither of us would go back to this restaurant.

We attended Trattoria Il Panino for Restaurant Week. I was delighted to sit in the open air section but quickly became aware of how noisy the environment was making it challenging to talk to my dining partner. The waitstaff was knowledgeable and polite but he frequently would disappear for long periods of time not returning with items we had asked for. The food, however, was fantastic. I would eat here again and see if the experience was better. Not an experience so terrible I wouldn't do it again but not a super first impression.

I have eaten here on a regular basis since 2006. Always a pleasure. I had a companion with me whom had never been before and she loved it. We went off the Restaurant Week Menu. Outstanding food. One of the best locations in the North End

This place was only okay. Nothing in particular wrong, but was looking for fantastic, this would not be the place. Small, crowded, food is fair and they don't have a full liquor license. However, the service was very good.

My wife and I visited Trattoria Il Panino for restaurant week in the spring of 2012. We made reservations for 8:30 P.M. however, we were not seated until about 9:00. Not that big of a deal until our waitress stopped by our table and found out we were there for resturant week. Then two things happend. We were ignored for a little while longer while she attended other tables and the menu for their dinner options had been changed from what we had seen online earlier, which was probably the biggest let down of the night as we had already picked what courses we were going to eat and chose this place based on the online menu . Neither of our chosen dishes were on this revised list. The food is good enough, just don't go for restaurant week.

I have been to Trattoria's before. I love the food and staff there. Everything is always fresh. If you want very good food, this is the place. The restaurant is directly off Hanover Street. Don't try and find parking, it's not going to happen. Park down towards the water front at a paid parking lot and walk. ($14.00 all day parking). Trattoria's has the best shellfish dishes in the North End. Zuppa di Pesce is a Traditional assorted shellfish and 1/2 lobster in a fragrant seafood broth & garlic bruschette, It's expensive (Market pricing), but worth every penny.
