For a delightful evening, come and enjoy our distinctive specialties including a variety of delicious appetizers and salads freshly made pastas, seafood, and outstanding grilled entrees.

Fresco is dedicated to supporting the essential earthly concepts of organic food production.

We cook with fresh produce delivered every day, and choose organic whenever possible. Menu highlights include house-made pastas, traditional Italian salads, fresh fish and flavorful meats grilled over mesquite.

All baked goods, pastries and desserts are prepared daily in-house.

  • "The food is prepared in a simpler gourmet style. These are undoubtedly dishes that he learned from mother or grandmother. New chefs today seem to overreach in their endeavor to be "creative"... it's refreshing to find a restaurant that delivers the right authenticity, combined with absolutely great taste, with just the right amount of complexity. Owner/chef is very nice and seems a bit awkward sometimes transitioning between server and chef. This is a small restaurant, so he can get away with that, but if it were full, he would (quite literally) have his hands full. Strongly recommended!"

The front of the house was unfriendly, and service poor. Only 2 people in front of house, one was the owner. Never had a visit from the owner, even though there are only 9 tables. Authentic Trattoria atmosphere ."

  • "It was Christmas Eve, and we were only the second table seated at 6 PM. Then the restaurant started to fill up. We put our order in as quickly as possible - to no avail. We were served our entrees after every one else had been served! We requested our bill when we were served our dinners, and we still received the check 15 minutes later. The service was abysmal, the food mediocre at best. A profound disappointment all around."

  • "Perhaps the best Caesar salad dressing is combined with reasonable pasta offerings. Pasta is house made and sauces are good, lack that flavor punch of tart tomatoes. It comes with a NYC type of attitude (wouldn't prepare a chicken ala mattone one night) and a brusque approach that if you stand up to it will become a tolerable experience. Well worth the moderate price."

  • "We arrived at 6:30 since we were attending an 8:00 play on Sat. Night. The room was half full. 15 minutes after we were seated menus were dropped at our table. The menu offering did not have one item from the online menu ...and we had to motion to the waitress to get a glass of wine. We each settled for one of the mediocre pasta dishes and a dry Cesar salad . Trattoria quite simply Failed."

  • "Our French group of 7 visited Trattoria Fresco before a Ross Valley Players' performance at Marin Art & Garden Center. We were all delighted with our dinner choices. And we loved the fact that the restaurant is quiet enough so you can talk in a normal voice and hear what your dining companions are saying! Everything was terrific, and Marco is amazing (how does he look after so many people at once?). We will definitely be back, as a group and individually, with other friends. Thanks for being part of our "enchanted" evening."

  • "I took my girlfriend here for Valentine's Day, as I had heard that it was a good spot for romantic meal. The space is not conducive to romance, and the service was the awful - salad plates were not cleared before entrees arrived, water & wine glasses were never refilled, we had to ask for utensils to eat dinner, and we had to ask for dessert and coffee after looking at our empty plates for 15 minutes! That being said... the food was amazing. I had a parchment paper cooked halibut that moist and flavorful. She ordered a risotto that had amazing flavor and great texture. After we convinced the server to let us order dessert, that was great, too! With proper training for the servers, this place can be #1 in Marin!"

It is a small intimate space and you can actually talk with your friends across the table and hear yourselves! The portions are small, which I happen to appreciate, and the price a tad high for the quantity as compared to other Italian local restaurants. But we love how fresh everything is!"

We shared the Arugula salad, tomato and pesto sauce pizza and the Rusticate pasta dish with shrimp and sausage. One of the tastiest Italian dinners we have had. Atmosphere is very nice on the Ross square. We will be back. This is a must try local restaurant."

This was our first time at this restaurant so I can't say whether this (Sunday) night was an aberration, but the place was exceedingly noisy - we were seated next to a group of 8 who were having a wonderful time laughing and talking - not yelling or screaming - yet the noise literally bounced off the walls and seriously detracted from the ambiance. That saif, we'll go back for the food, which is the closest I've tasted to the Tuscan food I grew accustomed to when I lived in Italy."

The pasta is the best I've had outside Of Italy. The Bottarga with tuna roe is outstanding, as is the pasta with an orange sauce. Sounded different, so we tried it and now it's my husband's favorite. Bruschetta is amazing too. A must try!"

I don't think either of the servers smiled once while we there. It took 20 min. after seating us to offer us something to drink. Food selection was minimal, but everything was good. Environment did not feel anywhere near as cozy as you would expect, and we hoped for, from a restaurant with 10 tables. It's too bad, we were looking for a new place to frequent in the area."
