  • "We decided to try a different restaurant and saw this in the visitor's guide. The first time we asked for private seating and were seated in the wine room (nice!). The food was outstanding and the wait-staff extremely attentive. We returned a few days later with a larger group and everyone agreed the food was outstanding! The waitress switched tables when we asked if she was our server and we received the same attentive service!"

  • "The setting is unassuming, tucked away in a little strip mall. But once inside, you get an idea of the dining experience to come. Service was excellent, staff was knowledgeable, and the food was delicious. The menu is a combination of local ingredients and classic Italian fare. We will be back."

  • "Trattoria Divina is a winner! The food was superb and the chef is outstanding. The waiter is great, it's was such a busy night. The restaurant is located in a strip shopping center, but once inside....you are pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend!"

  • "very good food - from osso bucco to lobster ravioli great appetizers and desserts too"

  • "This restaurant was the most pleasant surprise of our five months on the Island. The service was extraordinary, with three staff members dedicated to addressing all our needs during the meal. The bread was warm and tasty, and the hummus served with it was amazing. The delicious complimentary melon mini appetizer was a great touch, as was the complimentary glass of prosecco. The entrees we chose: the shrimp scampi and the lobster ravioli were also extraordinary. The shrimp was accompanied by a lobster risotto to die for, and the ravioli had a sauce I wanted to bottle and take home. Overall, a wonderful dining experience we couldn't stop talking about on the way home."

  • "We have dined here three times in the last two months and we were not disappointed. All food was excellent as was the service. Ask for the wine room. Cozy room and quiet with great atmosphere."

  • "1 of the best on Hilton Head. This was a great find."

  • "Brought a couple that had never been there before and was disappointed in our meals. My husband bolognase and it was very mediocre. Have been a few times before and were excited to share with friends so this was a disappointment"

  • "After our two year absence from Hilton Head we looked on line for reviews of new restaurants for our first night of vacation. Trattoria Davina perked our interest. We were not disappointed. The menu is Italian with more of a Venetian and Tuscan flair. We sat in the Wine Room which is quiet and intimate - perfect for that special night for the two of us. We chose the special salad and the fish special as well as the spinaci ravioli. We asked the waiter to split the servings so that we could share each dish. The food was carefully prepared and delicious. The service was was impeccable and the Tiramisu and Lavazza espresso perfect to end the meal. Trattoria Davina met our expectations and we will back!"

  • "This is definitely a favorite Italian restaurant on Hilton Head. The food was excellent, and the best Bolognese sauce, my husband's favorite. I loved the special homemade fettuccine with shrimp and scallops. We will return to try other menu choices. The decor is beautiful. Once in the restaurant there is no Hint of tobacco from next door."

  • "Everyone had a good meal and the service was outstanding, however, the smoke smell from the cigar store next door was unpleasant."
    Dined on 3/20/2014
  • "Love the food, love the service and little extras. This is our third time there and we probably won't go back until the cigar store next door moves, or the restau does. The fumes (and the store was closed!) were so pervasive it ruined our dinner. That should be illegal. The restau is well-managed and very good and they have no control over their own air quality?"

  • "My husband and I were celebrating our 16 year wedding anniversary in Hilton Head and wanted to go somewhere special. After reading other reviews, we decided on Trattoria Divina. Our waiter was Dominic, a very personable gentleman. He made us feel right at home. He brought us glasses of complimentary champagne and sample of one of their appetizers. We sat in the corner of the wine room and no one else was seated in there with us until right before we left. Everything we ate was delicious ... From appetizer to salad to entree to dessert. I highly recommend their tiramisu ...the best we ever had! Overall fabulous experience and we are already talking about going again the next time we are in the area."

  • "We enjoyed the varied menu and special; gnocchi was light with a great pesto sauce; the past with shellfish was abundant and you want to dip your bread in the sauce. Service was great, light and fun without being intrusive. We'll be back for special occassions!"

  • "We ate here the last time we were in Hilton Head a little over a year ago. The place was just as good as we remembered. We were a group of five and the dinners were all great. This is definitely one of the best on the island, if not the best. What made the evening especially memorable was the waiter Christopher. I hope I got the name right. He is simply the best and made us feel like old friends. Everything was perfect."

  • "One of my very favorite places to dine on island. Consistently fabulous food, friendly and informed staff....we prefer the "wine room"....had another perfect meal there last night. Broad enough menu to satisfy everyone, without being overwhelming, and if it is on the menu, they do it WELL. Planning the return trip already!"

  • "We ate at Trattoria Divina for my birthday dinner and we were extremely pleased. Excellent service throughout and the food we ate was excellent. I recommend the carpaccio as a great appetizer and the pastas are really good. Had a wonderful tiramisu for dessert. I highly recommend the restaurant."

  • "Had a lovely dinner with friends. Also had a special birthday dinner days before and that was great! They have the most amazing dessert with gelato and fruit in a big frozen tear drop. Complimentary glass of Proseco and an appetizer bite. The warm bread and hummus spread were so good, too. Two thumbs up!"

  • "I had heard raves about the lobster pie so I had to try one. Be sure to take a friend to share it with because it is huge. Generous chunks of lobster and fresh veggies in a creamy sauce all wrapped in a light flaky croissant shell. The service was attentive but not intrusive. It is located in a shopping center so no beautiful seascape views but the atmosphere is pleasant and they have a small outside patio for nice evenings. I would definitely return and would recommend to a friend."

  • "We took 2 couples, one local and one from out of town. Booth said they were coming back and bringing friends. Everything was excellent. For a special dessert try the ice encased fruit."

  • "Unpretentious, solicitous staff; very flavorful, beautifully presented food; and intimate dining experience made all the more pleasurable by a complimentary glass of prosecco and amuse-bouche. Range of prices. Only drawback was smell of cigarette smoke, which dissipated during the evening."

  • "The wait staff greeted us right away and took our beverage order. The chef sent out a sample champagne and a bite of roasted eggplant in balsamic to try. I'm not a fan of eggplant, but I have to say the balsamic helped balance out the strong eggplant taste. We ordered the Brie appetizer. The white truffle and honey gave a subtle twist to the taste. It was outstanding. The homemade bread was served with hummus, in addition to butter, which was a refreshing change. I ordered carbonara and my husband ordered the smoked salmon ravioli . While the two were very different tasting dishes, both were rich in flavor. We had the tiramisu for dessert. No complaints there. I absolutely will try this place again the next time we are in Hilton Head!"

  • "We were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. Traditional Italian dishes, good sauces and pasta was perfectly prepared. Compared to two other upscale Italian restaurants on the island, the quality is very good at a bit more of a reasonable price."

  • "Take an amazing award winning chef (Hugo Lee) an outstanding service staff (headed by Paige) and two outgoing and welcoming owners (Harry & Tami) and mix in a group of new friends and you have the setting for the First Friday Wine Tasting at Trattoria Divina. Each wine highlighted is accompanied by Hugo's food which is served family style and is more like Tapas portions, than a taste. The wine selections (I'm told) are a collaborative effort and as a group of tasters we vote on what would be a good edition to their "wine list". 4 out of 4 were voted on! So the combination of all that makes the First Friday of the Month Wine Tastings a must on my calendar ... Oh try the "regular menu" any night for an amazing experience too!"

  • "We were pleasantly surprised on our first visit to Trattoria Divina. Our party of 4 all decided on pasta and were very happy with our choices. The homemade pastas were light, sauced appropriately and well seasoned. Our service was great. The staff was attentive, but not intrusive. We appreciated that the owners thanked us for coming. We will return!"

  • "A real gem tucked away in the corner of a shopping center. Unique menu and a chef who excels at prep and presentation. It's a nice touch when the owner stops at your table to check on things. Stop by, or sit at, the bar and say hello to Paul the friendly bartender who makes the best drinks in town."
