First time to Trattoria Divina and my wife and I enjoyed the food and the ambiance.the food was fresh and tasty. The salad was not drowning in dressing and was very tasty.I had cappasante alla divina, very good indeed. My wife had the veal picatta and the chef was kind enough to substitute the whipped potatoes for pasta, she also enjoyed her plate. If you like garlic then this is the place for you.Nice Italian wines on the wine list.We will be back when visiting HH as the food is very tasty and not overly priced.

Nice to be greeted to a glass of Prosecco and amuse bouche. A great touch for a special evening. Mussels with Pernod and the bruschetta were outstanding. Loved the individual pot of French pressed coffee. The entire wait staff was attentive.

We had read lots of good reviews for this restaurant, but found it to be just fair in terms of the food. The service was attentive with a couple of minor slip ups (no cream for the coffee, powdered sugar left off the creme brulee). We were unhurried and the servers informed us in detail about the specials and answered our questions about particular dishes. There is a cozy, warm atmosphere here, but it is really tucked away in a strip mall (that was nearly deserted in January). We enjoyed our visit to this restaurant, but don't feel the need to return. We think that there are better choices in the area for this type of food.

We have eaten here in the past and had very good service and very good food. On this particular night, I am not sure if the restaurant was short staffed but no explanation or apology was given for poor service. We were seated for 30 minutes without being served. The hostess finally took our orders. We would not have minded if we at least had an apology. There are too many good restaurants on the island to choose from that offer both good, friendly service and amazing cuisine. The bus boy was the hardest working employee.

This is the best restaurant on Hilton Head. We always order whatever Chef Hugo has on special and it is always delicious! We have lived on the island over 25 years and and Trattoria has the most consistent food of any restaurant we have been to. The value is evident as well. Other restaurants that have similar food are twice as expensive. I would recommend Trattoria to anyone! It is fabulous! Brooke Allen

This was an amazing Italian restaurant and there was no flaws in their service or food. You can tell when you walk in that they put a lot of dedication into what they do. After hearing the servers vast knowledge and having the general manager seat us and tell us all about the wine, I knew everything from the point of when we sat down would be perfect and it was!

We ate dinner at Trattoria Divina while vacationing in Hilton Head Island. The food was very good, but many of the menu items were very heavy, as in heavy cream sauces, rich meats, etc. The wine selection was pretty good. I ordered the penne with tomatoes and a pesto cream sauce with chicken, and my husband had cheese tortellini with crushed amaretto cookies in a butter sage sauce. They were both very good, but we were a little surprised that there weren't more vegetables included in any of the pasta dishes. Service was great. They offered us each a glass of prosecco at the start of the meal, and the staff was very attentive with drinks. The meal seemed well spaced. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was warm.

We had a very good dinner, with excellent food. But ... The service was unacceptably slow. We sat down at 7:30 (two of us) and we left close to 9:30, and it is all because of the incredibly slow service. We did get a small glass of sparkling wine (on the house) and macaroni and cheese (also on the house). Then came a very good home made bread. Then food. It was really good, inasmuch that (if I lived there) I might go again (although prepared to wait long). It was not just a wait. I had a soft drink and was never asked if I wanted a refill, although the empty glass kept sitting there. Eventually I had to call a waiter. Still, another offer for a refill never came. All in all, the number 4 on Tripadvisor cannot be right.

While the restaurant itself is pleasant, the food was variable. The salad I had was described as having "tangerine sections". They were in fact, tinned Manderine oranges, and something we could have easily made at home at a fraction of the cost. The main courses, however, were delicious. Overall, I would not recommend it any of my foodie friends, but for those who would never order salad, I think I could recommend it with reservations.

What an amazing restaurant! This is the 3rd time my wife and I have eaten at Trattoria Divina and each time has been an amazing experience. The first (and third)time we went was on our anniversary and the staff and chef went out of their way to make our special night even more special. I could gush on and on about how great the food was, how intimate the setting was, how spectacular the entire staff was but it would still fall short of truly special of a place this is! If you haven't experienced Trattoria Divina, what are you waiting for?!?

Love this restaurant. Very quiet on a Tuesday evening, but the food was fantastic! Once again, the chef came out to meet us and offered a tour of his kitchen. The chef even commented that he makes every dish fresh as ordered and makes his pasta daily! The complimentary macaroni and cheese bite was delicious. Almost ordered it as main course. We ordered a great deal of food and think the chef did an incredible job with all selections; he even made Saltimbocca that was not on the menu. The restaurant staff is equally as good as the chef. We will be back! Our new go-to place for special evenings out with friends!

My husband took me to Trattoria Davina for my 50th birthday. The waiter welcomed us with a glass of champagne. The chef sent a taste of a risotto with garlic & mushrooms that was very tasty. We both ordered salads, which were very fresh. I ordered the Carbonara with chicken instead of crab meat. I also requested the pasta be cooked more than al dente. The chef is more than willing to accommodate special requests. My husband ordered the ravioli stuffed with lobster. My dinner was incredible. Every bite was so good. My husband also enjoyed his meal. The waiter found out it was my birthday. He gave me a complimentary piece of taramisu with a lit candle on top. Nice touch! We really enjoyed our visit and we will definitely come back!

This restaurant was recommended to me because I am a vegan. It is always a bit of a challenge finding places that serve plant based options so I was quite pleasantly surprised to happen upon an establishment where the chef happily accommodated my dietary needs. The food was nothing short of delicious, the service impeccable and the atmosphere, dim, romantic lighting, earthy yet elegant, quiet and relaxed. We were vacationing so we brought our seven year old along and, though this is more of an adult dining establishment, it was fine for children as well.

Really enjoyed our dinner. We ate early and had the choice of the early menu or the full menu. Chose from the specials -- chilean sea bass was great, also the filet mignon. We sat in the "wine room" and since it was early, we were the only ones in there so had a nice quiet, romantic dinner, which is what we were looking for. Our waiter was great as well. Staff were attentive, but not intrusive.

Reservation made for 3 at 7:30 pm - table was next to busboy station even though other tables away from the station were open throughout our dinner. Complimentary small app and sparkling wine were a nice touch. Food was good not great for the $$$. Good service, good food, somewhat loud. Overall a nice place, but nothing to rave about.

Pastas were perfectly prepared, excellent salad, bread that was authentic Italian, great wine selections including a very reasonably-priced chianti. We had a wonderful dinner - sharing the fabulous lobster pot pie which was more than enough for two - and the service was very good. The only drawback is the smell of cigar smoke which permeates the restaurant from the cigar shop next door. Don't know what they can do about it but it definitely affected my dining experience.

We dined the night before at the #1 top rated restaurant on the island (in celebration of our wedding anniversary) and had a disappointing experience. We were hoping Trattoria Divina might make up for it, and it actually exceeding expectations. The server and support staff were excellent, really listened and went out of their way to serve us. They greeted us warmly, gave us a complementary glass of sparkling wine and an amuse bouche, a lobster bisque that was tasty. Our food was excellent and they honored our anniversary with a complementary dessert of our choice. We'll return and we'll recommend this restaurant to others.
