Trattoria 225Can Accommodate Your NeedsThis is my favorite place in Oak Park/Forest Park. They are so friendly and accommodating to my gluten-free, garlic-free needs. I have never had a server come back to the table and say "we can't do that." Another plus for me is that they have 3oz glasses of selected wines, so if you don't want a full pour of something, you can try a smaller portion at a very reasonable cost. 3oz is plenty for me and doesn't make me feel like I've wasted half my money on wine I don't drink.

I have food allergies/dietary restrictions that often make dining out a challenging experience. That wasn't the case here! They have an extensive gluten free menu and can acommodate most requests. Have not tried anything I have not liked here. Will make substitutions without giving a hassle. Great selection of unique pizzas.

Trattoria 225 is one of the best new finds in a quiet, art section of the suburb. Down the street from several unique galleries and boutiques; it is the pot of gold at the end of the Harrison street rainbow. The menu is good but not terribly unusual or creative, but the preparation, freshness and flavors were superb!I had a Portabella ravioli with vodka sauce and Italian sausage;the best I have ever tasted. It was fresh and complex. My wife had a Tilapia that met the same high praise;super fresh and flavorful. Our bundt cake with caramel filling and vanilla bean gelato was worth every stretch mark it added to my stomach.
