A little pricey but worth it.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWill definitely be backIt's a "disney" experience in downtown Atlanta. An icon of the city, it's still a great atmosphere for a unique dining experience. We have been here 3 times over the past 2 years and the food this time was sooo much better! We came before for the ambiance but would return for the menu. It's great with groups...order one of the beverages in a bowl...a unique experience.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved the food and the service!Loved the food and the service! We had an excellent time.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMPina Colada at Trader Vic'sAlthough somewhat kitschy, Trader Vic's is a fun place to get together. Either with a date or group. The food and drinks are good and the service is excellent. We had several cocktails each (strong but not overwhelming) appetizer, entrees and dessert. We shared the Bananas Foster (flambe' table side) which was the high point of the evening. Overall, a good meal, great service and a fun time. Recommended.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was wonderful as wereFood was wonderful as were the drinks. Staff was fairly attentive.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved it. Our waiter wasLoved it. Brings back memories. Trader Vics Atlanta does not disappoint. Wonderful, welcoming atmosphere from everyone. Service attentive, not suffocating, perfect drinks, wonderful food. Just a very nice place. Décor really brings back the 40s,50s, Polynesian atmosphere of the clubs of those days. Can't wait to go back !4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMI took my wife for our 24thI took my wife for our 24th anniversary, we loved the Tiki bar theme. The food was great and they went out of their way to make our night special. I would recommend Trader Vic's for any couple or group that wants good food, atmosphere, and service.
Thanks for a wonderful night,
Eddie4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMMemorable anniversary!I wish I'd caught our server's name. He was an elderly asian gentleman with impeccable timing and excellent recommendations. The restaurant has an authentic Polynesian feel and the menu was a nice blend of far east Asian, Polynesian, and American. If you've ever been to Tahiti, Bora Bora, or Hawaii; Trader Vic's is a sweet reminder of time well spent. If you haven't, Trader Vic's is an fine example of what you're missing.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a group of 22 peopleWe had a group of 22 people and the staff handled our party with great efficiency. The drink orders were taken and delivered promptly. The food orders were taken and delivered promptly. Everyone got exactly what they ordered including salads, appetizers, entrees. Water glasses were filled as needed. Overall, the service was impressive. The food was also very good. Ingredients were fresh and portion sizes were just right. The dishes I tasted were seasoned with many great flavors.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMNice meal, pleasant atmosphere!I had always heard of Trader Vic's but had never eaten there. My girlfriends and I planned a trip to Atlanta to see Mary Poppins at the Fox. We stayed at the Hilton and wanted a good meal before we attended the show, but one that did not require driving far. Our reservation was at 6pm, but we really did not need it.Dinner was excellent. I ate the steak and lobster which was perfectly cooked ($46). My friends chose two wok dishes that they truly enjoyed (about $20 each). We had the drink special for the night that was only $6! It was great (some sort of pineapple thing.) It is a bit dark perhaps because it is in the lower part of the Hilton but we definitely enjoyed our meal and it was extremely convenient.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday CelebrationWe visited for my Wife's 50th Birthday.
We all enjoyed the food, environment, and setting.

Then I ordered scallops pancetta tasted like they had been marinated in a bath of herbs and flavors for days! Outstanding food! And the chicken satay is an excellent starter.3/2/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is a stunning restaurantThis is a stunning restaurant and I am always leaving this place full and very satisfied.2/22/2013 12:00:00 AMReminds me of Disney's O'Hana. The food was perfect. I loved everything I tried. Their pre-dinner "bread" they give you are actually multi-seed crackers served with a cinnamon flavored peanut butter with a few other flavors added. It was really excellent. Our appetizer was a sampler, but was barely much food for one, let alone two people, even though the price and description let you know it was meant for two. We still enjoyed it either way.
Our entrées were priced reasonably for fine dining and we loved them. They actually were fairly filling. We had three desserts and all were great. Just a note on the coconut dessert. It's described as coconut flakes covered in chocolate sauce but is actually ice cream with coconut flakes and chocolate sauce on top.
I will be ba2/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThree Nights in a Row!Three nights in a row and I could not make a dent in the wonderful menu...both menus, food and drink! Borgi was a class server!
