The pork char siu was the highlight you just don't see it offered in most Asian restaurants here is the southeast. Only hassle was parking. Restaurant said they would validate our valet ticket, but after dining and trying to retrieve our vehicle, people at valet booth said Vic's could not validate. The dinner portions were big and well prepared. The pork chop I had was delicious and my wife's scallops were as well. Since we were staying at the Hilton, we were given a coupon for a free appertizer. Unfortunately, you are regulated to a single choice which was a sampler of 1 fried shrimp, 1 crab ragoon and 2 spare ribs. Not what I would have picked, but it was free... The Mai Tai, what this place is known for, was good... not great. I would definitely recommend it though if it's your first time here. My wife's Pina Colada was also just okay (made over crushed ice) not frozen. We ordered the Tiki Platter which offered a good selection of their app choices.

The waitress was very pleasant and attentive. We each had seafood which was beautifully presented and very tasty. The Mai Tai drinks were delicious as was the bananas foster. We split one order of the bananas foster, and the waitress gave us each a very generous portion in our own bowls. We were there maybe 2 hours, and it was very enjoyable. When we walked out of the restaurant we realized that we had been in a quiet area because the bar area was more populated and lively. Just a very nice place. Décor really brings back the 40s,50s, Polynesian atmosphere of the clubs of those days. The food was great and they went out of their way to make our night special. I would recommend Trader Vic's for any couple or group that wants good food, atmosphere, and service.

The restaurant has an authentic Polynesian feel and the menu was a nice blend of far east Asian, Polynesian, and American. If you've ever been to Tahiti, Bora Bora, or Hawaii; Trader Vic's is a sweet reminder of time well spent. My girlfriends and I planned a trip to Atlanta to see Mary Poppins at the Fox. We stayed at the Hilton and wanted a good meal before we attended the show, but one that did not require driving far. Our reservation was at 6pm, but we really did not need it.Dinner was excellent. I ate the steak and lobster which was perfectly cooked ($46). My friends chose two wok dishes that they truly enjoyed (about $20 each). We had the drink special for the night that was only $6! It was great (some sort of pineapple thing.) I loved everything I tried. Their pre-dinner "bread" they give you are actually multi-seed crackers served with a cinnamon flavored peanut butter with a few other flavors added. It was really excellent. Our appetizer was a sampler, but was barely much food for one, let alone two people, even though the price and description let you know it was meant for two. We still enjoyed it either way.
Our entrées were priced reasonably for fine dining and we loved them. They actually were fairly filling. We had three desserts and all were great. Just a note on the coconut dessert. It's described as coconut flakes covered in chocolate sauce but is actually ice cream with coconut flakes and chocolate sauce on top.

They are marinated overnight and are cooked perfectly with more flavor than any top tier restaurant can provide. The drinks are great and the service from Borgi is very, very good.
