Outstanding LunchRecently dined at Trace and the experience was outstanding from the unique food (ie. Crispy Egg - AMAZING) and the exceptional service. Not to mention their homemade rosemary crackers. Had a great experience, would recommend to anyone and will DEFINITELY be returning.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThe best mother's day brunchIncredible brunch. Excellent, varied menu. Food absolutely yummy and beautifully presented. Place is gorgeous. Service excellent. Very attentive staff and great live music during brunch.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGlad we found Trace. We were looking for a restaurant within walking distance to The 5th Avenue for a play afterwords. We were pleasantly pleased with the service, delicious and unusual food selection and convenient location.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing foodWent here after the symphony. Its in the W hotel so I expected it to be decent. Well, it was outstanding!! We had the prix fixe menu. The onion soup was the best I have ever had. The main course was pork cheeks on risotto, equally awesome. I am not sure who the chef is but he knows what he is doing. This is one of my new favorites. Will definitely be back.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was exceptionallyThe food was exceptionally good, with great service.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMHappy LunchLunch was reasonably priced for the quality. Pulled BBQ pork sandwich was large and unique- best I've ever had - might want to request to go easy on the salt with the accompanying fries. The cod sandwich was also excellent and enjoyed the tempura veggies that went with it - all matched very well with their lemony cocktail: Seattle Swizzle.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMBellisimo! We originally thought this restaurant served only sushi (probably because of the signs outside?) so never came in, but we were mistaken. The food was totally delicious, innovative, and quite filling. The spicy eggplant entree was so very flavorful. The crispy egg with asparagus and mushroom appetizer was very interesting and quite delicious. It was a very healthy lunch, well, except for the berry cobbler, served hot! Yum. The entire wait-staff were very helpful and nice. We are definitely coming back.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMCreative dishes. WonderfulCreative dishes. Wonderful variety of vegetarian entrees.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWondeful dining experienceThe food was delicious, presentation was beautiful and the service was great. The new decor is very upscale and fun. We had a wonderful dinner and really enjoyed everything. They even surprised us by giving us a little dessert bite at the end of our evening - this one little bite was amazing.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMIncredibly inventive and tasteful.Incredibly inventive and tasteful. Each course was beautifully composition of flavors.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMvery contemporary, cheddarvery contemporary, cheddar muffins were served late, I believe they forgot.
Husband's food was incorrect, therefore he had to eat when the rest of us were finished.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThe sunday brunch selctionThe sunday brunch selction was not very good. The had a choice between a salad and a smoothie on the pre-fix menu. The breakfast items did not seem like a wide or good selection. The only thing lunch-wise apealing was the burger (this was supposed to be brunch).
The biscuits and gravy with poached eggs was very good. The kids menu had a better selection for breakfast items.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMI took a group from the officeI took a group from the office for dinner during the "3 for $30" event. They had a good range of interesting choices on the menu and we were all very pleased with our meals.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went to Trace for DineWe went to Trace for Dine Around Seattle and were very pleased with the food quality, the service, and the ambience. We arrived at 6:15 and the dining room was pretty empty, but it was rather lively by the time we left around 9:30. The kale soup had a great texture and taste; the crispy egg with asparagus and potatoes was like nothing I'd had before - poached egg with a tempura-like halo, delish!; and the Theo chocolate pot de creme was velvety, spicy, and a great way to cap the meal. The service was helpful and attentive without being overbearing. Neither of us was thrilled with our first wine selection, but I'm guessing other options were better. Definitely looking forward to going back.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGood addition to Seattle diningThe food tastes as good as it looks. The presentation is beautiful and the flavors are just as brilliant and enhance the natural flavors.
The service is a nice combination of skill and friendliness.
Finally, the decor of this newish restaurant matches the fashion-forward theme of the host W Hotel -- it's striking and modern.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMVery modern place in the veryVery modern place in the very modern W. Nice menu with asian theme. We went for lunch. My wife had sushi and she liked it, although a salad accompanying the sushi was overdreessed with indifferent lettuce. I had the tempura cod. Very good, but a bit underseasoned. We'd come back.1/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
