A word from Trabocco
Trabocco brings something new and exciting to Alameda. Chef-owner, Giuseppe Naccarelli presents a seasonally inspired menu of classic Italian dishes with a modern twist, influenced by the cuisine of his native region of Abruzzo.
A Trabocco is a unique fishing pier found along the Adriatic coast of Abruzzo. Architect and Designer Lev Weisbach of Weisbach Architecture|Design was inspired by the beautiful Trabocchi of Abruzzo when he created his spectacular design. With its reclaimed wood ceilings, dramatic copper encased fireplace, and modern bar Trabocco is warm and welcoming yet strikingly dramatic and modern.

Great wine, fresh food, a great menu and knowledgeable staff. The decor of the retaurant is really nice and the lighting is warm and dim. I will definitely be back! The Executive Chef has great energy and will great you in some great way. I hope to sit at the Chef's Station next time.

Located in a large shopping mall, Trabocco is a surprisingly good restaurant. And while a bit pricey, a very fine meal can be had for $25 to 30 dollars. On both of our visits our party of 6 a enjoyed every item we ordered from the pizzas to the wood fired oven roasted rabbit. Our first visit was an early weekday dinner. The restaurant wasn't very crowded with low noise levels and excellent service. Our recent visit was at 6:45 PM on a Sunday evening and the restaurant was full and loud. Our initial service was slow, but once served, our service was excellent. Don't let the shopping mall location fool you, Trabocco is a wonderful Italian restaurant with an inventive menu and fine food.

Trabocco is the closest thing to dining in Italy I know of. It feel like you are in an uber-hip restaurant in Milan. The chef greets everyone, and the atmosphere is like a warm and friendly home. And everything we had was marvelous. The servers seemed to appear just as we wanted something. Don't miss Trabocco.

This restaurant is great! It is the nicest in the city of Alameda. The waitstaff as well as the "chef owner" visits every table at least once during your visit. Over the top facility and parking is easy in the South Shore Centerof Alameda. We held a board meeting dinner in their private room and everyone enjoyed eating as well as visiting. Please make a reservation as they are busy.

A friend wanted to take me for a belated birthday dinner. The moment we walked in we were greeted with a warm welcome and full on attention to our dining needs. That evening our Giants got slammed 0-10 in the World Series play offs but we still managed to have a most delicious and delightful dining experience. The food was excellent; good wine, salads were colorful and tasty, entree of a full on bass with head and tail attached was moist and delicious, and a wonderful pick from the dessert list. The servers were great fun and attentive and the owner chef was his charming self with the diners.

what a wonderful gem in alameda! I had such a wonderful time here! I actually felt so guilty having a big full lunch knowing I was going to come for our anniversary dinner so I was only able to order my entree instead of being able to also try their great sounding starters. I ordered their wood fire grilled chicken and it was so tasty! The owner/chef - Giuseppe makes everyone feel so welcome with his personal greetings! The restaurant made our night special by sending us our dessert on a plate with a happy anniversary message. I will be back to try all their dishes....my neighboring table had the Banzino whole fish special and they told me it was delish! So looking forward to coming back!

This place had great reviews, some of the best in the area, but made me feel like it's over-rated. The food was not worth more than 3 stars; somewhat bland fried calamari but with a great sauce, bland soup, under-seasoned duck but great Fettuccine bolognese (easier simple dish, who can miss that...) Similar comments for service; the staff was really friendly and efficient... at first. Out waiter more-or-less disappear when dessert time came, taking forever to bring menus and made us wait so long to order that we were about to leave when one of his colleague overheard us and took our order. Nobody was even looking so we could not ask someone else had it not been for her (useful) eavesdropping.

Trabocco is a find - in the center of a mall but don't let that scare you off - the decor inside is great. The dining room acoustics are horrible, very noisy in there, thus the 3 stars on ambiance. I much prefer the bar - quieter, faster service, and more fun. The food is very good, the oxtail ravioli was fabulous. Pizza's can be wet and hard to eat but still delicious.

This was my fourth visit to Trabocco, and each time I've been with someone new and tried different menu items. I love the food here, the service has always been spot on and the restaraunt itself is lovely! Their wine, beer and spirit selection is generous and I really like that they incorporate local places into their drink menus. I always order calamari, and one of my favorites is the Crudo in Due. The food is tasty, and good portions, all of the staff are lovely and I always make it a point to get dessert while I'm at it. I wish I could come in EVERY week!

Trabocco was a new "find" for my sister, who lives in Alameda, and an unforgettable place to celebrate her birthday. Lunch was delicious, the co-owner stopped by to greet us and ask how things were, the late-lunch setting was quiet and beautiful, and the service was impeccable. Furthermore, Trabocco beautifully decorated my sister's dessert plate (she had the flour-less chocolate cake) with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate script. It was really touching and memorable.
