A word from Towne House Restaurant at Wine & Roses
Towne House Restaurant at Wine & Roses is a legacy to the country farm it once was. Magnificent trees and gardens remain at the heart of the land and embody the essence and authenticity of our heritage. Our inspiration comes from our childhood, our neighborhood, and our experiences.

Our cuisine is simple, but creative. We celebrate with fervor our terroir, our farms, our ocean offering a farm-to-table experience with products sourced from local and area farms, as well as our own garden. Our cuisine is made for sharing.

We believe dining should be fun with freshness and surprises in the menu, and warmth in the dining room. We love what we do and are devoted to creating and sharing the joys of food, friends, and family.

The Towne House Restaurant offers an exceptional, intimate dining experience and cozy evenings in the lounge where music is at the center with Kim and friends.

Diner Reviews
  • "I have been to Wine and Roses in the past but it has been quite a few years. My husband had never been so I surprised him for his 301st birthday. The food was great and we did end up having a nice night but we waited a REALLY long time to order. The waitress came right after we were seated and we were not quite ready and asked for another min. After that it was AGES before she returned. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and we enjoyed our night and time in the lounge with the piano player after dinner. We live much closer to Modesto and Dewz is usually our special occasion place. For a nice dinner in the same price range we will go back there. More attentive servers and MUCH more knowledgeable about the wine."

  • "The food was exceptional....the service was even better. It was too pricey, however."

  • "We started with the crab cakes. I have had them in several restaurants. I must say this is the first time I loved them. Excellent job. I had the salmon and my beau had the filet. Both entrees were excellent. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. I would consider myself a foodie and I would definitely return."

  • "I took my wife to Towne House for her birthday. Overall, an excellent experience. Probably one of the best restaurants in the Lodi area (although we are fairly new to the area). Our only concern is that it was very, very expensive. It's the kind of expensive you might expect in San Francisco or Napa, which was a little shocking to us. However, everything was very good to excellent, so I wholeheartedly recommend going. It's just not a restaurant we could afford to go to on a regular basis."

  • "We enjoyed the food and our we were seated promptly. One of our meal needed to be sent back because the pork chop was very under cooked. It was at least 15 minutes before the food was returned. The rest of us had finished eating so the pork chop was boxed to take home. I also order a cocktail which took a long time. The server apologished for the delay but no concessions were offered."

  • "The food, service and ambiance rival anything you will find in any big city. With prices to match, too. It's nice to have options for high-end restaurants in the Valley. The bar area is small but very comfortable and inviting. While some of the food combinations were hit and miss, this also happens in the best restaurants. I would recommend this restaurant in a heartbeat."

  • "Considering what they charge for the food I had expected much better service. I had to flag down a server just get someone to come to our table and take our drink order. Our server didn't tell us about any specials, nor did she come by to see if everything was alright. From my observation the servers seemed more interested in chatting with each other than assisting the patrons. I won't be going back."

  • "My BF and I were going to be in town for some casual wine tasting so I did my research and came upon the reivews for Wine & Roses. We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated wthin a few minutes. We had a lovely table next to the window where the noise level was just right. Not too loud, but loud enough to allow us private conversation. Our server was very informed and made recommendations for food and wine parings that proved to be right on target. Both of our meals were quite good (he had chicken, I had duck), but the beet salad was to die for! The portion sizes were large enough that we unfortunately had to skip dessert. We will definitely be back to the restaurant and will probably stay at the hotel as well."

  • "We had a wonderful time, even though we don't drink. The waitress had some great non-alcoholic suggestions. The grounds are well kept, the interior is clean and inviting. Great interactions with the courteous staff. Loved the piano playing in the bar, the fireplace, and the short ribs."

  • "The customer service was exceptional, the meal was world class with the exception of the beef short ribs, which were overcooked, dry and undersized."

  • "We arrived 5 min early for our reservation The hostess told us she just seated a few tables so we could wait in the bar or be seated at our table. The bar area ambiance was not appealing so we asked to be seated at our table. She then said let me find you a table (we had reservation). 25 minutes, later, she took us to our table, it was the size of a postage stamp. We noticed a few empty larger tables around us. We then were served water and another table was seated next to us. About 10 minutes later, the table next to us (seated after us) got their drinks and placed their dinner order while we still had not seen a server. After waiting an additional 10 minutes, we walked out. Would not go back and would never recommend this restaurant."

  • "We celebrated my Mom's birthday with lunch at Towne House at the Wine and Roses hotel. It was delicious and delightful to sit outside on the beautiful patio in January! The service was outstanding. Attentive without being intrusive. The food was delicious. I ordered a spinach, Swiss cheese, and mushroom omelet. It came with hash browns (ordinary) and toast. The omelet was delicious. The burgers that my husband and mother ordered were AMAZING. Absolutely delicious, succulent and perfectly done. To finish our meal they brought out a little chocolate cake with a candle for my Mom's birthday and a small box of truffles. All in all a delightful experience and it restored my faith in the restaurant."

  • "Wine and Roses is a beautiful place with a lovely atmosphere. Food was good, just not enough of it. We had a group of 9 and almost everyone walked away hungry!! I would think that with breakfast you might get toast or a muffin but that was not the case. The beet salad was good and again no bread or rolls were served with it. For the price did not think there was enough food. Way too overpriced!!!!!! Service was also very slow. Wait staff was very friendly but it took a long time to get served."

  • "We decided to splurge and have a very special lunch at Towne House Restaurant and it did not disappoint. The salads were the perfect size, and so flavorful. I just had the Caesar salad with salmon and it was sooooo good. A nice Pinot Noir to go with it and it was the best lunch I've had in a long time. We will definitely be back soon."

  • "My husband and I had a wonderful Christmas meal at Towne Restaurant, and we did make reservations. The ambience, and service were amazing. The salads were very fresh and refreshing. He had the pork and I had the short ribs both very well prepared, and very flavorful. They had a very impressive wine selection as well. The trio brulee and the chamomile tea were perfect endings. We didn't realize there was such a lovely place located from Sacramento. We will be making the trip to Lodi more often to visit this restaurant. Best Christmad dinner I've had."

  • "Wine and Roses is always a beautiful place to be. The service everywhere (hostess, servers, spa, etc.) is always great. We heard they got a new chef and wanted to try the food. Everything was tasty and very hot (temperature wise) which I like, but warn others. The prices for everything was fair, except the main courses. My fish dish was $40, which I thought was a bit much, but the flavor of the mashed potatoes and broth was excellent. I liked how they use fresh juices to make a Shirley Temple and not artificial flavoring. Overall, it's a great place for special occasions."

  • "The Towne House Restaurant really surprised us. Lodi is not exactly New York but the food certainly could keep up with the big Apple. There was not one thing that was disappointing. We love to try new places where the food is special. This one fit the bill. It's certainly not inexpensive but if quality outranks price, you won't be disappointed. The entire staff was also really a pleasure."

  • "We were delighted with our dining experience at Wine and Roses, it lives up to its reputation. The food was exceptional. I asked for very good olive oil to accompany my appetizer, and they brought me a very fresh and good extra virgin olive oil. The waiter was so friendly and also good, made our evening all the more enjoyable. Every course was good, inventive, the portions were just right - and served with style. The pickiest person would have not found fault with our dining experience!"

  • "Towne House Restaurant at Wine and Roses is truly a gem in the city of Lodi, Ca. For the sleepy town, this wonderful eatery should place a big star on anyone's map of the San Joaquin County area. Absolutely a magnificent place!"

  • "Catherine - Thank you for accomodating our party of 5 (for my Mom's 82nd Birthday) in the Private Room due to the high noise level in the main dining area. The food was excellent, the service outstanding and, once we moved to the private room, the ambience was fabulous! Thank you again! • "We were here for a quiet romantic dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday! This was our second time as we came for his birthday last year also. It was so good then that we decided to come back. We like everything here about the food (interesting selection and prepared perfectly). I like salmon out because my husband can't eat it. The menu said pan seared but I don't like it raw, so I asked for it be cooked medium well. It was the best, juiciest salmon I have ever had! 5 stars just for the salmon!! The crab cake is pricy but again, perfectly prepared. Salad and desserts were also fantastic. Brooke out server was very professional but warm. We will be back soon!"

  • "This restaurant is part of a beautiful hotel/spa complex outside Lodi. The spot is just lovely, with exceptional landscaping, some of it tropical, a good-looking pool area, large spa, roomy porch, etc. All the workers we encountered were very friendly and welcoming. We had drinks on the porch facing west and the silhouette of a big oak tree, and kept one eye on a wedding party nearby, very sweet. The restaurant itself is pretty, sophisticated and somewhat dark, nicely candle-lit. The salads were really fantastic, and the main courses were excellent. It was pricey but worth it. The wine list includes selections from many local vineyards. I'd advise staying overnight to make the trip worthwhile."

  • "A beautiful place to eat a quiet lunch on a sunny, foliaged patio. Fairly high-priced, but the ambience makes up for it. Wait staff service is very good. However, there was a serious issue with the attitude of the receptionist. I made the reservation for lunch on Open Table and received an e-mail confirmation. When we arrived, the receptionist acknowledged our reservation, but insisted that "all outdoor tables" were reserved, insisting on seating us indoors. All other patrons were seated outside and several tables were open. I asked to be moved outdoors, but she refused. We contemplated leaving, and nearly did. I then asked the waitress and she accommodated us immediately and cheerfully. None of the "reserved" tables were ever occupied."
