A word from Towne House Restaurant at Wine & Roses
Towne House Restaurant at Wine & Roses is a legacy to the country farm it once was. Magnificent trees and gardens remain at the heart of the land and embody the essence and authenticity of our heritage. Our inspiration comes from our childhood, our neighborhood, and our experiences.

Our cuisine is simple, but creative. We celebrate with fervor our terroir, our farms, our ocean offering a farm-to-table experience with products sourced from local and area farms, as well as our own garden. Our cuisine is made for sharing.

We believe dining should be fun with freshness and surprises in the menu, and warmth in the dining room. We love what we do and are devoted to creating and sharing the joys of food, friends, and family.

The Towne House Restaurant offers an exceptional, intimate dining experience and cozy evenings in the lounge where music is at the center with Kim and friends.

Diner Reviews
  • "The service was fantastic and the food was wonderful."

  • "We were scouting this restaurant / location for our wedding venue and arrived with high hopes. From the start the place was beautiful and just absolutely breathtaking. We took a look around and were completely sold on the look of the place. But when we started dining at their restaurant, all other venues were no contest at that point. The service was so accommodating to us, seeing as we had a pregnant woman with us who was getting a little nauseous inside. They let us sit outside even though we were the only ones out there. The food was absolutely perfect, all 4 dishes tasted absolutely amazing and were all cooked and seasoned so perfectly. The bill was pretty high but it was well worth it to have an experience like that."

  • "What a treat. My sister and I met in Lodi--a halfway distance between our homes--and we stayed at Wine and Roses. From entrance to the hotel's restaurant we were welcomed to great smiles and were sat in the dining room. Views of trees and a garden. Immediately were offered drinks and we chose a fresh blackberry Lemon Drop. Highly recommended! We split a Caesar salad which was tasty. My sis had a pasta dish with tomato stew and fresh mozzarella. Sooo yummy. I opted for chicken with a lemon gravy and whipped potatoes and creamed corn. Ohhh so good! Too full for dessert but sad we live so far because it's all craveable food!!"

  • "Last week was my second time in a week to have lunch at Townhouse. Beautiful, comfortable setting to enjoy extremely tasty and lovely to look at food. We travel an hour to get there and will soon be back again. Delightful staff and great place to celebrate a special event!"

  • "The entrance into the dinning area is spectacular....its a very special place, I strongly recommend it. The menu was great (the chower was to die for) and the wine list was outstanding. You won't be disappointed."

  • "Both the Wine & Roses Inn and the restaurant are fantastic. We ate both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and found both meals to be perfect. We had the chicken for dinner and it was one of the best chicken meals we had ever tasted. Along with terrific corn and some super puffed mashed potatoes it was a meal to remember. The presentation was also beautiful and the amount of food perfect. The service was great and the view of all the gardens was beautiful."

  • "This was a simply fabulous place to quietly celebrate our 41st wedding anniversary! Food was great, service was good, and the location is beautiful!"

  • "The gal at the bar/piano lounge was absolutely great. Friendly, conversating and amazing service. Great place to go to in Lodi."

  • "This was my first time at Towne House. The food was excellent, very nice presentation. Service was very attentive and efficient. Nice selection of Lodi Appellation wines. We selected an outside table - excellent choice that evening because the weather was very mild and typical of the delta. Prices are at the high end but proper for the value received. I was dining with friends I hadn't seen in quite a while and we had a long dinner. We were not hurried along."

  • "I've been to Wine & Roses several times for breakfast & dinner, but this was my first time having lunch there. I was disappointed in the menu & the lack of variety. I would've liked more appetizer options for sharing with my friends. I got the steak salad & was really disappointed. The steak had a lot of gristle on it & the large amount of blue cheese was overwhelming. I had to start piling it up on the side of my plate because I couldn't taste anything but the blue cheese. I came to the restaurant very hungry, but I ended up leaving about 1/3 of the salad on my plate because it was so underwhelming. The service was also just okay. We waited long stretches of time to see our waitress check in on us. My least favorite visit to date for sure."

  • "Our pancakes were barely warm — not hot at all. Other than that, everything was great and I will return. Love the grounds and outdoor dining. Our server was excellent."

  • "Everything about dinner at the Towne House Restaurant at Wine & Roses is perfect (and no tie required!): excellent service in beautiful surroundings, starting with appetizers through salads and main courses accompanied by excellent wine choices, and dessert with espressos and French-press coffees, ending with a night cap in the cozy lounge with live piano (a good excuse to spend the night at Wine & Roses, even if you live nearby)."

  • "We had a lovely outdoor lunch before our spa day the day before my best friends wedding....the service was lovely, the outdoor dining was fantastic, the lovely waitress was able to accommodate our special request for a cheese plate with our bottle of wine, but the salads we ordered were swimming with dressing....the flavors were nice, but drowned in dressing which nearly made them unpalatable."

  • "I've been to the Towne House Restaurant many times over the past 10 years. We arrive early to listen to the live music which is top notch. The food is excellent and it has something for all discerning tongues. My Sweetheart also loves this place and the recent visit we took friends to celebrate his retirement and his many great achievements as a Professor. They LOVED it."

  • "Very nice environment for Father's Day lunch. The cooler weather gave us an opportunity to sit on the patio and enjoy live music, a classic car display (e.g. Model T Fords) and to enjoy the company of family members."

  • "Romantic place for a gormet dinner. Reasonably priced for the quality / quantity of food. Good selection of local wines. Recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a nice, quiet getaway with outstanding cuisine. A hidden gem in Lodi."

  • "Took a friend out to dinner to celebrate your birthday, what a special evening out! At the relaxing bar lounge & "Kim" who is talented & played just beautifully & a personality to match-she was very personable & welcoming as the rest of the staff! The dinner served timely which was amazing & waitress "M" was just as nice & accommodating with our requests & most all attentive. For that special occasion, Wine & Roses is the place! "

  • "First we made our reservation on line: Easy 3 days before we received an email somewhat confusing; we called: Problem resolved by super friendly staff without putting me on hold. Mother's Day: Fun, great service, great waiter (Brent) who was attentive, helpful and just good. We loved the food, the ambiance and the music Leaving: My wife tripped and your staff and Manager were all there immediately. They all showed a great deal of "courtesy and concern" FYI - This was our second Mother's Day visit. When I invited my daughter and son-in-law where we should go for MD brunch, they immediately asked for Wine and Roses again. They live in the Bay Area, Alameda specifically."

  • "The food was subpar, but my parents LOVED it! In the restaurant's defense, this was a Mother's Day "buffet", so they were cooking for hundreds of people. My husband and I had the same feedback, while my parents raved about it, but they are not foodies like us. I would definitely take my mom there again, but I remember the previous year the crepe restaurant on the Miracle Mile being excellent and 1/3 the price. We live in the bay area and are very used to high-quality standards of food so take this review with a grain of salt. Ambience is excellent. Loved the vibe, would like to try the real restaurant out with normal menu."

  • "The outside dining was very nice...service was good. My mother in-law loved it ... And it was all about her that day...early Mother's Day! We would go there again."

  • "A little on the pricy side, but you get the best of lodi! The Asparagus salad was wonderful and great wine list!"

  • "Even though the food was awesome and I would try to go back to Wine and Roses, the server reacted VERY strange when we kindly asked to move to another table at the very beginning of our meal/service. The sun was glaring in on us and the light/thin shade only magnified the sunlight. She was hesitant to allow us to move and, we felt, respond inappropriately. We were reluctant to leave a standard tip for this kind of establishment since she made us feel so uncomfortable. We tried to enjoy the rest of our time there, but felt that we had really upset our server. Again, the food was amazing, but our time spent there could have been much more pleasant had we not had to deal with a bad attitude."

  • "The Easter Brunch Buffet was extraordinary in every way, including the extraordinary inattention by our server. Buffet table was elegant; omelet and carving stations efficient; desserts plentiful and elegant. Only downside was our server greeted us, but when we did not order from the bar she disappeared. We had nearly finished our plates and still had only water on the table — the included champagne nowhere to be seen, no orange juice and no coffee. Only our busser, Duane, saved the day. He got us what we needed when he could not locate our server and took good care of our party of eight throughout the remainder of the meal. When the server did reappear to present the check, she brought back someone else's folder and credit card! "

  • "I have been to Wine and Roses in the past but it has been quite a few years. My husband had never been so I surprised him for his 301st birthday. The food was great and we did end up having a nice night but we waited a REALLY long time to order. The waitress came right after we were seated and we were not quite ready and asked for another min. After that it was AGES before she returned. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and we enjoyed our night and time in the lounge with the piano player after dinner. We live much closer to Modesto and Dewz is usually our special occasion place. For a nice dinner in the same price range we will go back there. More attentive servers and MUCH more knowledgeable about the wine."

  • "I made reservations at the Towne House Restaurant because we were going to be in Lodi and I'd heard it was a 4 to 5 star restaurant. I knew it would be expensive, but I thought it would be worth it to experience flavors and foods done to perfection. The food was pretty good, but not worth $40 for a small plate of salmon. Seriously, my husband or I could have made the meals we had ourselves and they would have tasted as good. The surroundings are beautiful, but the food for the price is just so so."

  • "The food was exceptional....the service was even better. It was too pricey, however."

  • "I took my wife to Towne House for her birthday. Overall, an excellent experience. Probably one of the best restaurants in the Lodi area (although we are fairly new to the area). Our only concern is that it was very, very expensive. It's the kind of expensive you might expect in San Francisco or Napa, which was a little shocking to us. However, everything was very good to excellent, so I wholeheartedly recommend going. It's just not a restaurant we could afford to go to on a regular basis."

  • "We started with the crab cakes. I have had them in several restaurants. I must say this is the first time I loved them. Excellent job. I had the salmon and my beau had the filet. Both entrees were excellent. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. I would consider myself a foodie and I would definitely return."

  • "We enjoyed the food and our we were seated promptly. One of our meal needed to be sent back because the pork chop was very under cooked. It was at least 15 minutes before the food was returned. The rest of us had finished eating so the pork chop was boxed to take home. I also order a cocktail which took a long time. The server apologished for the delay but no concessions were offered."

  • "The food, service and ambiance rival anything you will find in any big city. With prices to match, too. It's nice to have options for high-end restaurants in the Valley. The bar area is small but very comfortable and inviting. While some of the food combinations were hit and miss, this also happens in the best restaurants. I would recommend this restaurant in a heartbeat."
