  • "Had Val Day dinner at Towne Hall. First time at restaurant for me. Had requested a booth when I made the reservation, and received a call from the restaurant a couple days before to tell me it would be impossible as they were going to be so busy...i thought this was a very nice touch and is a good thing to set expectations so we wouldnt be dissapointed when we arrived. Ordered from the special Val Day menu, and the food was excellent. Salmon tartar was very tasty and the filet mignon (requested 'rare') was cooked perfectly. My partner had the lobster ravioli and was also impressed. Cheesecake for dessert was tasty (although very sweet). Service was friendly and pretty efficient. All in all, a very pleasant experience on a very busy night."

  • "We ordered the burger, the lobster ravioli, the spring rolls and melon/prosciutto starter. The burger was salty, the ravioli was nice and soft with a decent tasting sauce. The spring rolls were very average. Overall the ambiance is great, the drinks are strong and made with premium alcohol, but the food is not quite worth the price."

  • "I come here regularly . Service is generally fair to very good depending on who you get. I went when the rest. was buzzing with holiday parties. It took 15 min to be seated. The hostess was polite, smiling, and made an effort to chat & keep me updated on the status of my table Kudos Our server was another story. He did not impress me when I asked what aperitifs and teas were available. He replied both times, " what would u like?"When I replied, they didn't have it. I was in no mood for a guessing game. It is not up to me to recall what that restaurant stocks. He did not deserve the 17% tip for otherwise average service Even if the food was good , in spite of the busy night. ( thumbs up to the chefs ), I left with a bad taste in my mouth"

  • "Went to Towne Hall table for 2, and had pre-mentioned that it was my guest's 21st birthday. We had 2 drinks from the bar which were mixed, and very good, and then 2 orders of the salmon tartare...which I thought was a bit bland...it's been better.....the bread that came to the table, the garlic bread they normally bring, was burnt blackish pretty much and super chewy...not really edible....but then the chicken tagliatele was very good and spinach salad with side of chicken was excellent.....for the birthday girl, they gave us a slice of dolce de lece cheesecake which was super good, very sweet, so we shared it....but I suppose they could have offered it free like most restaurants...instead they charged $9 for it, which was a bit ridiculous."
