The food we got was very good, but they brought my salad and both entrees before we got the appetizer we ordered. Took too long to get our wine. Not a huge menu but the scallops were very good as was the salad. My husband also liked his emat entre.

No wonder they moved up the street - they needed more room! Food is great and reasonable; the multiple rooms and tv's in some gives averyone somewhere they would enjoy to be. Lots of young professionals. The noise is energetic but not over the top and the dining room is far enough away...the outdoor dining area in the rear looks like it will be a hit when it opens - they said late April? We love a place that is locally owned and these guys have hit a home run! I think they opened another spot in the 400 blk of Mass.NW

Aside from having an AMAZING staff, the menu has been improved and the new items are sure to be favorites. The new space is great and there is an outdoor patio and a second floor deck which will be huge for Glove Park in the warmer months. Sports fans will love the flat-screen TVs and pool room. The best bar in the neighborhood just got better.

What a great evening! The owners and management have it nailed. The new location for Town Hall is a great addition to Glover Park. The food was outstanding, especially the pork chop. They are very busy on the weekends, but the service does not suffer; and unlike Georgetown, they have ample parking across the street. You will not be disappointed.

A really nice small restaurant on the fringe of a great neighborhood. Food is always very good and service excellent. In January they're moving up the street to a much more accessible location where, I'm sure, they'll get much more foot traffic and thus patrons. Yay! That means they'll be sticking around.

Hadn't been to one of my favorite neighborhood places for a while. We were there early (5:30) on a gloomy Sunday. It was very quiet - blessedly so - as one almost never has that experience anymore. We had a large booth in the back for just 3 of us. Had a nice chat with the owner about plans for moving to bigger space up the street. We're looking forward to going there in 2012! Outdoor space and all! We all loved our entrees. Mine was scallop/brussel sprout/butternut squash mix/saute. It was delicious!

The restaurant itself was pretty nice - the pictures of DC as decor were cute and definitely caught my eye but there was nothing else that really stood out, including the menu. I ordered a club sandwich because like I said, nothing stood out. My boyfriend ordered scallops and although he said they were good, they certainly didn't fill you up. Good thing the party we went to afterwards had pizza or he'd have starved that night.

I had dinner here with a group of friends. They initially seated us beside the bathroom - and I don't enjoy or usually pay for "dinner beside a bathroom" - so I asked for a different table. They accomadated the request and moved us to the front room at a wonderful table. I wasn't sure why they didn't start with that plan - the restaurant wasn't full. The ambiance of the restaurant is really nice but I found the food to be unremarkable - in fact I don't even remember what I ordered. The mixed cocktails were interesting but I wasn't drinking that evening. If I go back for dinner - it will be for the cocktails and ambiance.

The food at Town Hall is absolutely delicious -- well prepared and generous. The crabcakes were particularly good. Our dinner, however, was marred by the overwhelming musty smell of the restaurant. It was like eating in my grandmother's basement. Any work the restaurant could do to eliminate the unpleasant atmosphere would greatly improve this otherwise great local spot.

There were 3 of us for dinner on Sunday evening. We started with the Brie appetizer and it was sensational. The salads were fresh and crisp with the right amount of salad dressing. The entres were delicious. The pork chop was moist and there was plenty of it. Two of us had the scallops with fingerling potatoes and mushrooms....cooked to perfection. The wait staff was freindly and accommodating. We will surely return.

Sunday brunch was great. The Town Hall DC was clean, busy, nicely furnished and the staff was attentive and courteous. Our server was very professional and helpful. The food was very good. Two of us had the "Town Hall". The "hall fries" were fantastic. One of our party had the chorizo and was very pleased. Another had the quesadilla, and was similarly pleased. The food was brought quickly and served hot. I would not hesitate to recommend the Town Hall DC to friends and family. On our next trip, we will definitely sample the dinner menu.

Used to come here when it was a French restaurant. Now more "contemporary." Wonderful comfort food appetizers - we had delightful tomato soup with little grilled cheese sandwiches for the table. The main courses were absolutely delicious. Wonderful friendly and efficient service. Good quality classic rock at a modest level in the background. Very relaxed and easy with a fun vibe. Bottom line: friendly neighborhood place with yummy food and a modest price, wondering why we'd not discovered this new incarnation before.

Good for a neighborhood place but not worth venturing to. The grilled cheese appetizer would be better served with a sharper cheddar cheese and the pork chop was good but the mac and cheese side was dull and would benefit from a crust and a vegetable would be a good addition to the plate (perhaps southern collards). A dish to skip is the salmon, the heavy sauce overpowers the fish and the potatoes were a poor match for the fish (rice or grits would be better).

The food has been raved about, so I brought a group of out-of-towners there for brunch. Our party included a 6 month old. They were able to accommodate us, and the food was as good as advertised. One of my friends left her sunglasses at the table when we left. Town Hall staff called me from the number I gave for the reservation to tell me. I was able to go back and pick up the glasses. Great service, great food, can't wait to go back on a weekend evening and try out the drinks.

My girlfriend and I ended up at Town Hall after I purchased a Living Social deal. It was a nice spot but our table felt a bit awkwardly situated next to the bar, dining area, server area, and stairs. However, it was a good scene with good people and our meal was very good. The starters out-shined the entrees; we had the tuna tartare and roasted cauliflower soup--both were exceptional. Our main dishes were the linguine and pork chops and while very tasty seemed to lack a bit of something. Service was very good and it was clear that our waiter, Mo, was very well known and popular which leads me to believe he treats his clients well and we were no exception. It's worth checking out for the appetizers alone. I'd definitely give it another shot.

The ravioli appetizer was excellent, especially the perfectly prepared spinach in the cream sauce. I had salmon, which smelled very fishy but tasted great; the fingerling potatoes on the side were expertly prepared. My spouse had a burger, which she liked a great deal. I ordered homemade chips as a side; they were delicious. The brownie dessert fell flat in my view (there was something about the chocolate for which I didn't care, but I cannot pinpoint it), but my spouse loved it. Service was friendly and attentive.

I liked the wait staff. A kitchen mishap resulted in my entree ending up on the floor. But my server and the maitre d' apologized profusely and gave me a salad and a glass of wine free to make up for the 15 minute wait. Friendly and attentive service is always a plus. The food was amazing--especially the goat mac & cheese. It was better than I expected, and I had high expectations! Crab cake sandwich was great, not a whole lot of filler. The brie appetizer was outstanding; the almond crust surrounded a perfectly warmed slice of brie, which can sometimes be a challenge. The pork with apple topping was a warm, southern-inspired dish that really impressed my boyfriend. Wonderful evening with wonderful service (not pushy or overbearing with suggesting of menu items). We sat at a booth that had a view of the bar, which was nice but might've been a bit too secluded from other diners. It was also right near the service station, which was sort of annoying to have a full view of. We will definitely be returning.
