Restaurant was very noisy. Soup was exceptional, Salad, and dinner very good. We found it odd that bread was an extra cost especially since there is a bakery there. We asked about it, and were told we could order a "bread course". With all the noise, this started us off poorly.

Town has not dissappointed!!! We have eaten at Town several times and each experience has been absolutely faboulous! The have a variety on their menu without being overwhelming and everything we've tasted is superb! This time we had Crunchy Pigs Ears - kind of like bacon french fries! that were soooooooooo delicious. We also tasted their Rabbit Tacos, Pork Shoulder and Butternut Squash Enchaladas! Your taste buds will explode with flavor and you will LOVE Town!! The bar selection is also fantastic and you will enjoy the unusual selections. Everything at Town is fresh and not your usual run of the mill food. Everything is also locally sourced and prepared to perfection!

We came to Town to try out their menu since we enjoy eating at bistro style restaurants. We love trying different snacks and little plates when we eat out. We really enjoyed the ricotta balls and brussels sprouts. The soup was fresh and delicious. Our server recommended a wonderful red blend for our wine selection. Our server was very attentive and made sure we made it to our movie across the street on time. Delicious food, relaxing ambiance, and super service! When in Carbondale, make sure to try this little gem of a restaurant. You won't be disappointed!

Town is one of the best restaurants in the valley (and especially so when you consider the price point). Always clever, locally sourced dishes- I applaud the risks they take in a food scene that tends to play it pretty safe. Totally worth the drive from anywhere in the roaring fork valley.

The server seemed disappointed that we showed up at the restaurant. While I've always have had excellent experiences at their sister restaurant in Glenwood Springs, the Pullman. The food was creative but so so. I've never been turned off by a server as I was in this experience. I've heard good things so I will probably give them another chance.

Sometimes, in trying to be creative, you can over-complicate a dish. Other than the absolutely delicious bread and butter (don't underestimate how great the bread is -give up if you are trying to avoid carbs), the entrees themselves were trying too hard and just weren't that good. Overall, it's on a charming street, has an innovative menu, but just slightly misses on many fronts. I hesitate to say that because I can tell that some real love that has been put into the place by the owner.

The acoustics are weird, and make it hard to hold a conversation and very hard to order, but for some reason make it too easy to overhear neighboring tables. The descriptions on the menu left out many important details, like the smoke flavor that is used in a SALAD. My entree was actually very good, but my husband's was moderate at best. Hard to pay the high prices for this experience.

Really nice space for a restaurant. And drinks were reasonably priced. That's about all we really enjoyed. Restaurant was too noisy. Food was okay but nothing special or memorable. Sent back an awful cocktail (the mezcal mule, which was like 80% celery!), but was charged for it anyway. Seriously? I wish the owners success, but we probably won't be back for anything other than coffee.

We love this place, however the last time we went our waiter, though very friendly didn't seem to know as much about the menu as in the past. Our service was acceptable and the food very good. One dish, the brussel sprouts was a bit too salty ...and I like salt! I think maybe unsalted butter would be better in this particular dish. All in all a great place!

Town has a unique menu and interesting dishes. It is another fine option in this area where competition is tough. The service was outstanding. Our table for four was a little too close to the next table for two, for my tastes. One in our party said "that's very European." We will go back, and we will recommend it to friends.

Some folks use the word 'fine' for delicate and/or rarified qualities. The other usage of the word is a middle point compared to extremes such as terrible or amazing. When I say, "It was fine," i intend both of those usages. The food includes a variety of mildly exotic ingredients in combination with the familiar. I'm certain every dish is considered very carefully before it goes on the menu. There is an emphasis on creating unique flavors with half a tastebud toward balance and comfort. Plenty of choices for the carnivore or the vegetarian. I love the atmosphere in that place and the history it carries. It was by no means anywhere near disappointing; it was fine. And nothing blew my socks off; it was fine.

Our party of four dined at Town last Saturday night, and after hearing mixed local reviews were plesed and surprised. Everything we ordered was well prepared and delicious. Make sure to try the bread basket with homemade butter. The black cod was cooked to perfection, flakey and moist. The small plate seafood pasta was pleasing as well.

The first time we ate at Town I didn't think we'd go back. We love the Pullman and the menu seemed to be very similar but the food came out somewhat tasteless and unimpressive. We tried a second time and things went better, the dishes seemed more flavorful and so I was glad we decided to return. We've been back a few more times since then and the service is iffy. This time, they missed the appetizer but later brought it and comp'd it, which was appreciated. It seems that they are still working the kinks out, which is normal for a newer restaurant even though it is managed by most of the same staff from 689. We continue to have a better experience at the Pullman (their sister restaurant in Glenwood) but we will keep trying.

Enough already. We hadn't been back to Town in many months and decided to give it another try. We really like Mark Fisher restaurants (Phat Thai, Pullman, 689 [RIP]) and expected Town would eventually turn the corner. But it's still just fair. Food sounds better on the menu than it tastes at the table. Kitchen still struggles to prepare food as requested. We won't be back anytime soon.

First time eating at Town - the food was AMAZING! The cocktails were delicious and creative. We dined in the front room, and the tables were a bit too close together. Next time, I will request to be sat in the back room/bar area. Our service was less than excellent. The waitress forgot to bring our cocktails (twice), and we had to remind her, and ask her multiple times. Other than that, it was a great night! Again, the food itself was OUTSTANDING! I will definitely be returning to Town, and will recommend it to friends.

Cream of asparagus soup with a deviled quail's egg garnish, the most unbelievably good green beans almondine we'd ever eaten, and perfectly cooked halibut on locally grown corn and locally foraged chantrelle mushrooms. Fantastic. Service was top notch as well. Perfect meal.

A wonderful combination of great staff and even greater menu that delivers on its promise with wonderful food and good drink. We had a really good special cocktail, shared appetizers that got the plates licked, had wonderful large plates , and finished with a shared dessert of butterscotch pudding and coffee, we sat down at 6:45 and all of a sudden it was just after 10:00. Staff was pleasant , knowledgeable, and served our meals perfectly without getting in the way. Overall a home run we plan to repeat soon and often.

Before it closed over a lease issue, Six89 was our all-time favorite restaurant. When we learned the owners opened Town right down the street we decided to try it for our 39th wedding anniversary. We are pleased and relieved to say that Town has continued in the same tradition as Six89 by delivering everything we loved about Six89 - great food made from fresh ingredients with unusual twists. The crispy pigs ear and lobster corn fritters snacks and the clams jardiniere and rabbit tacos small plates were amazing. Our large plates, teres major and striped bass, were perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. Everyone at Town made us feel welcome and comfortable and helped make our 39th anniversary very special.

First time at this restaurant although Mark Fischer's other restaurants have been consistent favorites of ours. The menu had his signature creativity and innovative ingredients all over it (not literally, thank goodness). Our waitperson was enthusiastic, knowledgable. He did a marvelous job of making it look like he was seriously enjoying his work. He struck a perfect balance between being there, making suggestions and giving us our space. The dishes were interesting, different but not weird. The flavors worked brilliantly. Anything negative? The noise level is kind of high. Seems to be the current trend everywhere. My husband noticed the chairs weren't high on comfort. Otherwise, all good.

What a lovely evening. The hostess was able to seat us outside and it was perfect for al fresco dining. It was a special occasion celebrating a birthday and anniversary and we were very pleased with our choice. We ordered lots of small plates and half orders of pasta and shared these amongst us....including a vegetarian. Everything was delicious! The chef's creations were delicate and combined interesting tastes and we look forward to returning to sample more of the menu. We regularly eat at other restaurants in this group... The Pullman and Phat Thai but this was our first time at Town. We were not disappointed. Thank you.
