Diner Reviews
  • "This was my third time doing Portland dining month. The food at Touché was great! It was hard to decide which menu to order from. Plus I ended up taking food home! Normally I get smaller servings but wow so much good food! I know this place will fit my budget during the rest of the year. Plus they were VERY accommodating to the baby in our group :)"

  • "The food was great and service was great, but they have a bar on the upper floor, so I suggest a table at the back of the restaurant."

  • "The food was adequate but not memorable and the service was poor for a nearly empty restaurant. I would not be surprised to see this space vacant or with a different name in the future."

  • "Stopped by Touche for an early supper, the restaurant was quiet, the service very good. My dinner choice was the salmon and my wife ordered the house made manicotti. Both were good and we would recommend Touche!"

  • "I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't expect the food to be as good as it was (but can we stop serving kale please?), or the location to be as interesting as it was. We had an early Sunday reservation, so the restaurant was quiet when we got there. The bar tender knew how to make my Negroni perfectly, and my pork chop was not only huge but perfectly cooked. Had the prawns as an appetizer, and tiramisu for dessert with delicious coffee. It's a quiet spot, nicely but not overly decorated. When we left 90 minutes later, it was packed with diners and yet the noise level was perfect for conversation. Only complaints? I had to ask for fresh pepper, and my companion for a spoon."

  • "Four of us ate there as part of Portland $29 dining month. Three had the pork chop and I the pesto chicken pasta. It was all very delicious! My husband was pleasantly surprised by the wine reduction on the chop. The beet salad was wonderful and had lots of beets with the greens. We really enjoyed our time there and would return to try things from the full menu."

  • "My wife and I came to Touche for our 15th wedding anniversary. I had reservations in advance and asked for a good table. When we got there, we were personally greeted and congratulated. Then we were taken to a table that was marked reserved. It was a nice, quiet spot that was away from everything else. The food was outstanding! The ambiance was perfect. Hillary was our server and she was the cherry on top; she was very kind, and her timing was perfect. She made our great experience better. I will definitely be recommending this restaurant. 5 stars!"

  • "Overall, the food was pretty good, a little old school (i.e. really heavy pasta dishes) but the service was awful. There was one girl running the entire bar and restaurant so everything took forever. She was clearly doing her best but one server, come on....This seems like the kind of place you would go to if you a) lived close by and b) didn't want to cook."

  • "We picked the restaurant as one we hadn't visited before to take advantage of the 3-course dinner presentation for Portland Dining Month. The options were good and we each chose a different meal. It was a solid experience with no noticeable shortcomings. Solid presentation, well prepared, served in a reasonable time, by cordial staff, in a pleasing atmosphere. While we didn't come away with anything to say Ooh! or Ahh! about, it was a pleasure to not be saying anything but good things about our experience. These days, that can be a prize in itself."

  • "Well, I have to say that we were enticed to this Pearl District gem by a PDX dining discount for March. You got 3 courses for $29 pp. I have to say "Totally WORTH it" Fantastic service, excellent bar choices and food..well... the food freakin' ROCKED!..Every single item we saw coming out of that great open kitchen with a wood fired oven looked and smelled tremendous. We had a brilliant spinach salad with a hefty amount of prosciutto, Appetizer of prawns with mushrooms, garlic and marsala wine sauce(OMG!) and a PERFECTLY seared and prepared pork . Finished off with an apple turnover out of the wood fired heaven maker. We cannot wait to go back! 5 stars- Thank you Touche, your wait staff, bartender and kitchen crew are AWESOME!"

  • "They were under the Mediterranean category but mainly had Italian choices. Food good, if not in Portland probably would have been 4 star, but compared to other local places, just below average for taste/flavor. The restaurant was not very busy and my water glass sat empty several times. For the price, I'll choose somewhere else next time."

  • "I'm generally more of a pasta person, but I'm trying to eat less carbs right now so I ordered the steak and was very happy with it."

  • "Took my lovely date here on Valentines night not really knowing what to expect. The food was amazing, the pasta sherwood is to die for. And the drinks were very good as well, they make some excellent cocktails."

  • "Great place for a romantic date night. Went there on Valentine's Day and we had a nice booth in the corner. I did notice though that people who had table seating were very close together. Might not be as enjoyable to sit there if wanting a romantic quiet conversation. We will definitely be back. The food was absolutely amazing!"

  • "We dined midweek when they were relatively quiet. There was only one person to be hostess, bartender, waitress, and cashier. Though she did well, that is insufficient help for a. Facility that size."

  • "We have dined at Touche in the past with very good results however, our recent experience was disappointing. We began with calamari and stuffed mushrooms for appetizers and both were awful. The calamari was limp and tasteless even with the capers floating in oil and the mushrooms were stuffed with some paste like product that tasted awful. Our entrees came a la carte and I wasn't interested in ordering a $5-8 salad to pair with my spaghetti bolegnese. The pasta sauce wasn't like any bolegnese that I've ever eaten and I was not pleased paying $13.50 for a bowl of spaghetti. Our waiter was very good though - attentive and friendly but I don't think we'll return."

  • "Glad we did I took my wife there for her birthday, price was reasonable steam clams were fantastic but could use a little more meat in them :) we had the filet mignon, cooked to order and very tender one of the best we have tasted in Portland! Nice place, service was great will definitely return."

  • "We went here for New Year's Eve dinner as we were looking for a reasonably priced nice restaurant in the downtown area. Although we were a bit disappointed that they had a smaller menu available for that night that they had listed on the website, we found our meal to be very good. We had the pesto linguine which was nicely done and the steak was cooked perfectly. The service was fine and our waitress was attentive. It's hard to tell what the ambiance would be here on a regular night given that the crowd was likely a bit different on New Year's Eve."

  • "THIS IS MY 3RD VISIT, JUST TO HAVE THEIR FETTUCCINE THAT HAS A TOUCH OF 'LEMON'... THIS TIME IT WASN'T ON THE MENU, BUT THE CHEF MADE IT FOR ME. $13 PRICE IS GREAT! ALL THIER PRICES ARE LOWER THAN OTHER 'QUALITY' RESTAURANTS. THEY OPEN DAILY AT 4PM, NICE HAPPY HOUR ALSO... WIFE LOVES THE SPAGHETTI ON HAPPY HOUR. GREAT MINESTRONE SOUP! THE BERG'S"

  • "We were there on an early Sunday evening. It was very quiet so we got excellent service. Little did we know we were there for Happy Hour so we purchased lots of different dishes and each one was quite tasty. The spaghetti bolognese had a delicious red sauce. They can accommodate wheel chairs with ease."

  • "... because, this place is not worth it! We always pass by this place and thought we'd give it a try - we were very curious based off of the look from the outside. Our experience was horrible. It took us forever to get our food, the waiter was indifferent, and by the time we got our food it was terrible. The stuffed mushrooms were awful. Cheap button mushrooms stuffed with something that reminded us of cat food drenched with white wine. It smelled terrible and it tasted worse. The only positive thing to note for this place was its decor. There are plenty of other restaurants in the Pearl..."
