Food was very good. However, service was spotty at best. As a wine lover, I resent how the server attempts to completely fill my glass up to the brim with wine making it impossible to get the bouquet of the wine. Management: you need to give your servers training on the proper way to pour wine!!!! 30% off of wine list brings the wine pricing to at least a reasonable price level for very expensive pricing of wines.

We had a mixed experience. Staff is very friendly but young and inexperienced. Some of the food was outstanding - - bruschetta for example was great. However, the main courses were odd. There was just too much going on with each dish. This was not the simple Italian with fresh ingredients that we love from our trips to Italy, and we both thought our dishes would have been better had the chef not tried so hard. My husband had the veal wrapped tuna, and did not care for it. I had the salmon, which was quite good, but over egg noddles flavored with saffron, which was too much on top of everything else. My beets were boring, and not that fresh. Wine list is very nice, and our cocktails were good.

We stopped at Toscanini's for afternoon cocktails outside the first night in Beaver Creek as our friends were showing us around. We stayed for several hours and ordered apps & drinks enjoying the ambiance and the great service (thanks Gavin). We ate at several other places in BC and Vail and nothing compared. We're from Charleston, SC, a serious foodie town, so we're somewhat critical. Toscanini's was the best we found in the area so we ventured back on our last night in town and it was even more awesome. Two great dining experiences in one week so you can be sure of their consistency. Trust me, this is a must do restaurant while in BC.

I was told this place was good to bring families. Absolutely not the case. The food was just ok yet they charge like its a 4 or 5 star restaurant. We had the worst service ever there. We had to pour our own wine, waited forever for our food....we were there a whole hour and still had not received our food and never got checked on by our waiter. All 9 of us hated the place.

Outdoor dining at Beaver Creek in the summer next to the skating pond is friendly and comfortable. While the ambiance is wonderful the food is tasty but not ostentatious. our waiter was new at his job and although he was very nice his service and familiarity with the menu needs a little work yet. The host was outstanding, though.

We specifically chose this for my mom's 71st birthday & informed them of this when making the reservation. We confirmed with the hostess that it was for her birthday & she told us it would be special. After waiting 15 min&ordering drinks, they finally brought bread to the table-dry & bland. Our salads came after another 20 min & my wife asked for a simple salad, but it took another 10 min. The entrees overall were fair, with the pizza getting a poor rating from our kids. The pasta primavera had veggies which were described as "unidentifiable" by all at the table, and was very bland. The halibut was good, with nice risotto. The most disappointing part is nothing was done or ever mentioned again to celebrate the birthday. $420 poorly spent.

I have been dining here for years. There is new ownership. We arrived at 6:15, early, so that we would have plenty of time to enjoy the meal before the 8pm show. The service was extremely slow and we were quite rushed to get to Vilar on time. The food was simply marginal! Also, we used to receive 15% off the bill if attending a performance that evening, but the new owners decided not to continue with that little perk.

There is a new chef at this restaurant, and Paul is very good and has made a big difference. The Halibut is wonderful with the shrimp risotto. The Shrimp with gnocchi is also light and great. The wait staff is very attentive and the food comes out the minute it is ready. We were very pleased. If you have not been there in a while, it is worth a try. It is delightful to sit outside and watch the ice skaters.

The food was awful, the kitchen was slow, and the service was the poorest I have experienced in years. I have been three times in three years, having the same miserable result each time, and swearing I wouldn't go back. But I gave them another chance and then another. This restaurant has a great location and could/should be one of the best in Avon/Beaver Creek. In my opinion, it is the worst.

Had a fantastic experience at Toscanini the other night, we were a party of 4 and started our evening on the patio by the ice skating rink, however, it started raining and we were quickly given a comfortable table inside. our server Art was fantastic and had great energy and knowledge of both the food menu and wine list. we ordered the polenta, tuna crudo and asparagus as appetizers, all were delicious. the Caesar salad, Dungeness crab and heirloom tomato salads all had wonderful flavors and were just the right size and for our entrees we had the Tuscan market steak, halibut and spaghetti carbonara. everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. for dessert we ordered the blackberry sorbet and the molten chocolate cake not disappointing.

We called and asked if our table could be outside. They said they would try to work it when we get there. When we got there the outside was full and the inside was very warm It was not a comfortable dining experience, When we left we walked by the bar and it was so cool. They had air-conditioning. We looked back and the dining room also had vents for airconditioning. It obviously wasn't working in the dining room. I think we should have been warned ahead of time that we would be sweating while we ate. No one ever mentioned it or offered us any compensation. They just acted like it was normal. The waiter was good but a little on the smug side with a little of an uppity attitude. Maybe he was hot, too.

Where to start! The lasagna that was $27 was so gross that my husband said "microwaved Stouffers lasagna tastes better" than theirs. My saffron risotto tasted like Dawn dish soap. I asked my husband to try it and he thought it smelled and tasted like oven cleaner. When I told the waitress it wasn't edible, she rolled her eyes at me. My ceasar salad had so much pepper on it, I would choke and cough due to it. I know Open Table offers 1000 points for this place and I now know why. They wouldn't have any business without it. Do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere like the Blue Moose Pizza that's down the village walk way! So much better!

We had a good experience for dinner there recently. The waiter was helpful and attentive although it was a busy night. The food was good(but not great). The pasta was too soft and not "al dente." The flourless chocolate dessert was awesome. The location was right next to the skating rink in the middle of Beaver Creek so you can't get much better than that.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend. The service was very bad. We did not get greeted by the server for 10-15 minutes and after placing the drink order it took another 10-15 minutes to receive them. At this point, the restaurant was operating at about 1/3 of the capacity. We sent one entree back several times and the rest of the meals were mediocre.

We had been to Toscanini two years ago and the total experience was wonderful. We wanted to go back two years later to get the same experience. We ordered cocktails which were awful I described exactly how the cocktail should look and taste. Sent them back. I ordered a basic cocktail and it was also poor. Ordered wine which they couldn't mess up. Food was not as tasty as last time. My husband had Osso Bucco and he really enjoyed it. We had to refill our wine glasses because the waiter didn't check on us. I had to ask for bread for the table. Just not what we expected for the price.

We have now been to Toscinini's 3 times. We enjoy it each time but it is a limited based on the fact that there is no other italian on the mountain. Our experience seems based each time more on company than food. Can you find better Italian? Sure, but not with a view of the square you just walked down the mountain in the snow to get to! Nice wine selection. Let the kids try the Blood Oraqnge Soda -- It's awesome -- gotta try that with some vodka...

We ate at Toscanini before theater at the Vilar Center this summer. It was a very disappointing experience. We decided to give it another try. We put a comment in our reservation. The staff took our comment seriously. Our server, Meghan was outstanding! She knew the wine list very well. She allowed us to enjoy leisurely dining while keeping us on schedule for the curtain. She knew the menu and made good suggestions. As a gluten free customer, I appreciate the variety of options. Formerly unhappy customers, because of Meghan's wonderful service, we will be back.

We had dinner here our first night in Beaver Creek. If you're staying in the village, this is a great spot to try, located right behind the ice rink. Service was relaxed and friendly. We had the seafood tagliatelle, as a starter. It was a little spicier than I was expecting but very good. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the seafood was plentiful. Our second course we had the elf tenderloin, served with pesto potatoes. Everything was delicious and incredibly filling. If you like high quality Italian food, this is a spot to check out.

Booked through Open Table and took a 5:45 reservation as everything was booked until 8:30. When we arrived there were only two tables being served. Hostess said there were many last minute cancellation, so we asked if we could delay until 6:30. She said next seating was at 7:30. When we completed our dinner, the restaurant was only 1/2 full. Clearly the Hostess was not interested in fulfilling our simple request, given the light crowd. Special shrimp appetizer was wonderful. Veal Milanese was quite good but presented on the plate like a Denny's Chicken fried steak. Elk filet was delicious, but asked for medium and got rare. Waitress, Kathy, was terrific.

This is a great location by the ice rink in Beaver Creek. The restaurant has a nice energy. The food was just not as good as it should have been. I ordered the Pappardelle with Bolognese which was almost a good dish. The sauce was O.K. not great. The noodles were really good except that they never tossed the pasta with the sauce so the bottom of the dish was an inedible mass of stuck together noodles. My husband ordered the Elk entree which was perfectly cooked medium rare and was delicious. The salad we ordered was excellent but the shrimp appetizer was bland. Overall it was a pleasant experience. It is hard to justify paying this much for a dinner where things should have been so much better with just a little effort.

We always make a point of eating at Toscanini when we're in Beaver Creek and have never had a bad experience. This past reservation, however, left a lot to be desired. We had a window seat that was wonderful but the new lighting was so bright it felt like we were in a fast food restaurant - all ambience has been lost. The menu on the web site was not what was offered in the restaurant - specifically the hanger steak. The pasta was nothing special and the trout was a very small portion with little flavor. We were really looking forward to a wonderful meal at a favorite restaurant, but were so disappointed we won't return. Normally we wouldn't complain and just chalk it up to an off night, but the whole experience was very disappointing.
