The wait staff was very attentive and the ambiance was upscale casual. Just what we were looking for.
The menu variety was awesome, seafood, veal, pollo, along with great appetizers. This was the place! She loved it! The only complaint we had was the noise level. There was a VERY noisy party of six across the restaurant from us that must have been eating (and drinking) there for probably a couple hours. When they left , it was MUCH quieter. I think this would be a perfect place on a week night. It's a small restaurant and obviously a popular one. The mussels were plump and delicious, the fish dishes superb and probably the best tiramasu I have ever eaten. Booked through OpenTable and specifically mentioned that it was a birthday dinner. The staff treated us very well and brought her champagne to mark the occasion as soon as we sat down. Dinner was not rushed and we really enjoyed the food. It was our anniversary and we were anticipating a big evening. Toscana did not disappoint. The restaurant was very crowded, and we had to wait for a few minutes. The wait was a bit uncomfortable, as the small bar area was very full and there is really no other place to wait. Fortunately, we got a great table, so the short wait was soon forgotten.
Our server was attentive, but not intrusive in any way. The timing of service was excellent, as there was no rush and we enjoyed each step or course of our evening. We ordered salads which were a nice size and fresh. Our entrees were the stuffed veal chop and Mahi Mahi.
