  • "We LOVE going to great restaurants on vacation...this one was recommended by the endodontist my husband had to see for a root canal (a whole other story!) We decided to give it a try - we're celebrating our 42 Anniversary and wanted a special experience for dinner. Toscana's exceeded every expectation. Not only is the food extraordinary, the service and attentiveness of the waitstaff was a rare combination of being right there for every need, yet allowing us the time and space to really enjoy our anniversary! Our dinners were incredible - the chef shows great artistry and a love for preparing beautiful and delicious food. If you're vacationing in Daytona Beach - do not miss this wonderful restaurant!"

The table side caesar salad and bananas foster we ordered was to die for, but due to the setup of the other tables around us our table side dishes had to be made from a distance. Service was very good, when it was there. Dinner was 3 hours which we didn't mind because we had no other evening plans, but it seems they are in need of some more waitstaff! We will definitely go back. "

  • "We have been to Toscana before and this time it was not up to our previous visit. When we first arrived, the waiters were very attentive until we didn't order drinks - we were ignored the rest of the night. The menu was disappointing - most of the offerings were pasta and the rest not very inventive. Everything is ala carte, so the prices are a bit high, particularly for pasta dishes. We started with salad - mine had walnuts, goat cheese and pears in it, but the pears were pickled with cloves (yuk). The Caesar salad was okay. The Penne dish, w/ very few small pieces of eggplant and 4 small slices of mozzarella in a tomato sauce, was boring. The menu description was more interesting than the dish. Bolognese dish was excellent though. "

  • "Our experience at Toscana was 5 star +. Atmosphere was very quiet & beautiful. Presentation, preparation & taste of food by chef Tony was excellent, would have to travel to Italy to find better. Chantz was a top notch server who was very informative of all items on the menu & made the dining experience even better. You must try the table side caesar salad & hopefully Chantz is your server because it was perfect. Also for desert do not pass on the Banana Fosters it is second to none. Do not leave the Ormond-Daytona beach area without dining at this exceptionally fine Italian restaurant. "

  • "My husband and I went for dinner on Mother's Day. They seemed a little overwhelmed, although the restaurant wasn't full when we arrived at 7pm. There was some discention among the troops (staff) as we could here comments they were making. Our table was close to the waiter station. I think they need to keep their conversation in check when guests are nearby! Love the food, as always. Certainly will return. "

  • "I'm a NYC Italian restaurant snob but even I have to admit that the food and service at Toscana is the best I have experienced. It's a challenge to find this restaurant as it's tucked away in the back of what appears to be an office building but it's well worth the search. This has become our traditional celebration restaurant every time we're in town whether we have cause for a celebration or not."

  • "It was my wife's birthday and she said "lets try Toscana, I've been wanting to try it". A calm and relaxing dinner even though the restaurant was full of diners. What could have been an ordinary Caesar Salad became a symphony of ingredients conducted by the waiter, and oh so good. Dinner was delicious; a lobster dish with pasta and a light white sauce for my wife and combo seafood served with a garlic butter sauce for me. We will be back. "

  • "Chase, our server, was a good server but constantly pushing more expensive options. Table side Caesar salad was advertised as $12 for 2 people. My daughter had no interest and I expressed that before yet we were billed $36. ($12 x 3 plus tax//tip). We were 3 sitting next to a party of 10, so I do believe the potential tip prevailed. I tip very well, but the owners pressure to service the bigger table was obvious. Plus, the manager/owner was always hovering over our server. Our server Chase is a pro but may do well to tell mgmt to stop watching him. and I do feel they pressured him to offer more expensive options. Again, the food good was food but our tab was $160 for two adults ( 2 glasses of wine only) and a 18 year old who eats little."

Searching online we reviewed Toscana's website and made our decision to reserve through Open Table - as we have done before in other locals. From the moment we arrived we were served by very friendly personnel. Our waiter was very attentive to our choices and his preparation of a "tableside" ceasar salad was one of the best we have ever enjoyed. The evening dinner was most enjoyable."

  • "We arrived on a Thursday evening to a very quiet place. Waiter said it was a slow night but this worked to our advantage as we got outstanding service and had some exceptional food. Everything was prepared with the freshest ingredients and the salads and entrees were all perfectly delicious. We had table side prepared bananas foster for dessert and it, too, was awesome. My only complaint was the music. They had a playlist of relaxing 'dinner time' tunes but it had several Christmas songs mixed in. It's the end of February guys! Enough with Frosty the Snowman! You need to update your music department. Otherwise a very enjoyable night. Highly recommend..."

  • "The food is magnificently fresh and the service is top notch. They understand old world Italian food. The chef, wait staff, and hostess all seemed Italian as well! Each dish was prepared to order. We could want for nothing as Mario was our server and attended to our every need. It was very relaxing experience, though we definitely paid for this luxury. It is probably one of the more expensive restaurants in town, but for quality, I'll pay for it! I found out that this restaurant existed when I was going for a massage nearby. The chef & others were outside having coffee before they opened. They told me I should try the restaurant and that they'd treat me like a queen. They did and I didn't even tell them they had promised me that!"

  • "I found Toscana through the OpenTable app, made reservations which was almost too simple with the OpenTable app, and I am glad I did find it. The resaturant was great and truly fit the Valentine's Day occasion. The service was great and the food was quite amazing. The prices are higher than normal Italian restaurants but then again, Toscana is not a normal Italian restaurant. The wine selections were also great. Overall an amazing dining experience on our first visit. I will definitely return."

  • "I have been looking forward to dining at Toscana for some time, and I finally had the chance on Valentine's Day. We plan to go back, but not for the reason you may expect. We were disappointed .... with the menu. It wasn't until we were seated that I learned of the limited menu for the day. I understand that Feb 14 is probably a very busy day for them and they need to streamline as much as possible for the sake of efficiency. Cupid's limited menu had about six meal choices. Three were seafood, two beef and one veal. No traditional pasta dish. No chicken dish. No vegetarian meal. My wife & I don't eat much seafood and zero veal. So we went to a very nice Italian restaurant and had ... steak. We have to go back on a "normal" night."

  • "Why do you ask for reviews when you never post them?? This is the THIRD time we tried this restaurant, and each time, instead of getting better, it continually got worse. Valentines day was a nightmare. We were never told that it was a special menu. The menu was very limited, expensive, and I ordered veal chop and it was returned twice. A Manager never visited the table to apologize and the server was not much better. Three people in the party ate, and after three times of returning my meal, I did not choose anything else. It is a nice restaurant, but they did not have any special additions to the meal such as special bite from the chief to start the meal, chilled plate and fork for salad, a palate cleanser before the entrée, or maybe a nice piece of chocolate at the end.   • "Toscana was new to us. Upscale ambience without being stuffy. We arrived an hour before our reservation and the staff was quite friendly and accommodating. Decided to eat at the bar even though the staff was more than willing to prepare a table for us. I had the shrimp with risotto, a special, and my wife had the veal with white wine sauce. Both were excellent. Both were appropriately under-salted which leads to my only suggestion, which should not be taken as a complaint. The meals would have been perfect if a finishing salt were available. Toscana is a new favorite"
