Diner Reviews
  • "The view of course is the main reason for coming to this restaurant. The service is top notch and the food is good. I am glad I went but it is the kind of thing I probably won't repeat. Not because it was bad but because it is a novelty."

  • "the seating arrangement was not very satisfactory."

  • "I ordered the grilled steak for dinner, although my medium rare was done to perfection, lets face it a grilled steak is nothing to boast about and put a fifty dollar price tag on it. The pasta that was ordered was basic but the price made it seem like it was something that came from the secret book of the culinary arts. Plates were garnished but it w as nothing that reflected the price. If you wanna see the city like you never have definately try it out."

  • "My husband and I went to Sunday Brunch on Sunday, July 29th to celebrate our 23rd Anniversary. The view is spectacular. The brunch buffet was disappointing. We had gone 3 years ago and it was fantastic. Lots of selection and lots of seafood. This time the selection wasn't that great. The cold shrimp were great, crab legs ok. There seemed to be a more Chinese buffet feel to the food. Don't get me wrong, I like Chinese food, but was not expecting it at this kind of a restaurant. Dessert was very disappointing as well. Again not much selection. There was lots of fruit, but there was only two kinds of white layer cake, no fancy little tarts or slices like 3 years ago. For the price of the buffet ($43) you would expect more."

  • "We had good time but the restaurant needs some modern facelift, it is outdated in style."

  • "The price reflects the cost to get to this view. The food and service were adequate."

  • "The service was great and the view was amazing. I did wish our reservation was later so I could have seen an over view of the city during the night. Everything we ordered was great, I got the Fettucini Con Salmone Affumicato and it was delicious. I also really enjoyed the flowers and candles placed on the table it gave a romantic feel which was perfect for the occasion."

  • "Dinning at the Top of Vancouver Revolving Restaurant is something everyone should experience. It's a wonderful way to spend a romantic evening. Arrive at least an hour before sunset to see the detailed panorama of Vancouver. Stay to watch the city sparkle it's neon lights. It's an experience. The food is good and the service attentive."

  • "So much potential, but the high price, marginal food quality and poor service out weigh the view. If you want to see the view, pay to go to the observation deck, skip the restaurant."

  • "This is the place to come for a leisurely meal with the opportunity to look out over the city and surrounding area. You pay a premium for the food in order to get the view ( but you know that already, right?) . The service was friendly and well paced. The food was good but it's unlikely you'll rave about it. Did I mention the view? Come for that."

  • "The food is good sure, but at $40 per main course it should be VERY good and not take short cuts like using canned beans with the lamb shank (i wish I was kidding) the service has been good in the past (i have been about 6 times in last 2 years) but this last time it was horrible, the waiter never asked if we wanted to order wine when I had stated i would want wine with main, and brought out one dessert (one person ordered 3 course meal) then asked the rest of us if we wanted to look at dessert menu, pretty lame."

  • "The food and ambience was excellent, the view was breathtaking, and the service, fantastic. Seafood including Lobster was our choice, along with a local BC White wine. The slow rotation of the restaurant allows a 360 degree view which takes one hour, two rotations in two hours allows the whole of Vancouver to be appreciated, especially at night. Highly recommended for any occasion. As for the prices....very reasonable. Plus....no charge to access the top level, which is the restaurant. Definitely plan on returning."

  • "It was nice to return to this restaurant 10 years later. The brunch is very good and the service was perfect."

  • "food was not worth the price. Left feeling hungry with a big gouge out of my pocket book. $150 for 2 entrees and two glasses of wine...no appies, or desserts...little unreasonable. The service was good, didn't wait for food/drinks long. View is incredible, for some though the height may be a tad overwhelming and at times the rotation of the restaurant could cause some nausea for the weak stomached. Recommend going for drinks and view, not dining."

  • "Food was very rich and flavorful. One review compaired to keg or earls. No comparison. Also, this was a 17th birthday and service staff offered a variety of mocktails. Virgin pin cola da and margarita were hits."

  • "As the name suggests, the view is beautiful. That's about where it ends. The food was ok, not worth the price tag. Service in general was slow. Was not busy, yet waited about an hour after finishing our meal for server to actually come back to our table to we could ask for our bill. On our way out we were directed into the elevator which had just been mopped. We were told to be careful because it was wet. Smelt like somebody had just thrown up in there. Infact, even the server who was cleaning it had her nose covered yet they did not direct us to the other elevator. When we called the next day to express our frustration, we were told that we WERE directed to the other elevator; 1. That's a lie 2. If we were directed elsewhere, we'd listen."

  • "We arrived for a 6:15 reservation on a sunday. The service and food were amazing! Of course the view was amazing! My daughter felt very special and it will be a long lasting memory. Would definitely go back! $200.00 bought 4 people meals with one starter between us, no drinks or coffee or desert."

  • "Friendly staff and delicious but pricy food. The view was amazing. I would recommend to a friend. However the bathrooms need updating."

  • "We decided to do something a bit special for my birthday on our trip to Vancouver and the revolving restaurant was the perfect solution. Amazing views and great food! To visit the viewing deck you need to part with $15 so it's a much better option to be seated while you spin around and also get great food and service too."

  • "Although our main reason for dining in the revolving restaurant was as visitors to Vancouver from overseas & wanting to see the view over the city, I admit it was with a little trepidation. I had read some some not great reviews re service & food, and our hotel concierge was somewhat reserved in comment when we asked for directions. However, we went ahead, and apart from the views bring good, we found the staff very attentive, friendly & happy to answer our many questions about the wine and our ever changing views. The food arrived beautifully prepared & presented, at the right pace & was delicious. The wine also very good. All in all a really good night and would go again!"

  • "I was carrying some doubts about our upcoming anniversary reservations after reading some online reviews but was pleasantly surprised and relieved that we had such a positive experience. Our servers were really nice and the food was delicious. While the prices weren't particularly wallet-friendly, the combination of food with the lovely rotation-and-a-half sunset view of Vancouver was worth it."

  • "Great to see day and night when you is coming in dinner time. Don't forget your camera for different city view photo."
    Dined on 6/13/2014
  • "The view of the city was wonderful, picturesque. Food was very good. The service, however, left a lot to be desired. While our waiter was courteous and knowledgable, the service was poor. Everything took a long time to get to the table ... even visitorrequests for coffee took over a half hour."

  • "The view is spectacular. The food is even better. We give it a 10. We ordered the stuffed salmon. Best salmon we ever tasted. Service from Raj was outstanding also. Even the coffee was very good."

  • "beautiful view of Vancouver. The lam shank is pretty good."

  • "I think it would be safe to say that one visits the Top of Vancouver for the view and this is definitely its competitive advantage. The service was top notch without being pretentious. My wife and I both had the halibut which couldn't have been cooked any better. I did find that the plate was lacking use of local fresh ingredients and the portion of protein was on the small side then again. The bill after 2 drinks each, appetizer and two main courses came to a little over $150. One can only assume that the cost of visiting the viewing deck had been embedded in the menu prices. The experience need not be slanted by the investment but the overall return on that investment. Furthermore, it was a great experience and one I (we) will never forget."

  • "Had dinner at the Rooftop when in Van and was pretty excited about the Rooftop. Obviously the revolving rooftop is the draw, and its a good thing since the rest of the experience was pretty poor. The martini served for a bargain $18 was half full and I wold told that was a 2 ounce pour, I have drank plenty and never saw a half empty martini served. The menu seemed confused without any real identity, the waiter was not intimately familiar with the menu and basically suggested a "steak special" which was basically a rib steak that you could make at home. Overall the rooftop was a disappointment especially in a city with such great food as Vancouver, then again they sell you a view, not the food. "

  • "I never tire of the view! The service was good but slow. The food is quite fancy but only "above average", though there's plenty of it. Always enjoyable just don't be in a rush and enjoy the view!"

  • "It was an amazing experience, both of us enjoyed and she loved the scenery as well as the food, our waiter was AWESOME! Actually the whole staff that greeted us were amazing and thank you for the cake for her. Will tell all my friends to try it there. "

  • "It was easy to make an on-line reservation. We found lunch is the best time to enjoy the 360 view of Vancouver - we were luck to enjoy it on a clear sunny day. It was not crowded when we showed up (at noon) - it got more filled up around 1:30 pm, but even when it was almost full it was not noisy - the tables were adequately spaced apart."
