"When we arrived there was nobody at the host/hostess station - we waited about 6-7 minutes for someone who looked like a bus boy to seat us. He had to bring cheap chairs for us to sit in. We didn't like the seat since it was noisy where he sat us so we moved. We waited another 10 minutes for menus then decided to just leave. Found a great French restaurant a few blocks away."

"Expected the place to be a little bigger than it was. We went at 700 to catch the daylight into night and views were great (romantic). The food was really good as well. We had some people sitting nearby talking a little on the loud side and as the evening went on the bar area can get a little noisy. would def go back and would give an 8 out of 10."

"Service was terrible. The waiter came to take our order - we wanted to order drinks and appetizers first, then the entree. The waiter responded first with a look of bewilderment, and then stuttered in broken English that he would have to "check with kitchen". Our opinion was that he wanted us to order the entree with the other dishes = maximize his tip and the restaurant's profits. I'm paying $200 for a meal - I deserve the choice, don't I? After a decent Martini and appetizers, we waited about half an hour for the entree. Upon reminding our waiter, he appeared startled, and ran to the kitchen. Our luke-warm entrees immediately followed.

Nice view, okay food, but will never return because of the inattentive, untrained waitstaff."

"The view was spectacular. I wasn't impressed by the type of bread they served, to be honest I didn't touched it at all. The appetizers were good; the lobster pancake was not what we expected. Basically you could not taste lobster at all. Entrees were amazing, the salmon, the bass and the special bass."

"We went with great expectations due to the view and good reviews in opentable. What a disappointment!!! Its dated... almost depressing and the wait staff could not wait to go home. The food was average at best....Someone should take it over and revamp it. The view is great! That is it! Not enough to go spend $...."

"My whole experience at Top of The Tower was immaculate. Honestly the bread and olive oil is tasteless and I could of did without, I didn't eat it BUT the braised short rib appetizer was tender and very very flavorful. NOW as for my rib eye.. My rib eye was to die for. I got it med well which I usually don't do. I usually go got med. But none the less my rib eye was on point , melt in my mouth delicious!I recommend the rib eye for the steak lovers out there it was absolutely beyond me. I know you think im being ridiculous but you have to try it for your self and see. The 360 view of the city was breath taken (if youre a city lover like my bf n I) I had a few amazing glasses of riesling as well..PRICEY BUT TOTALLY WORTH IT IN MY BOOK!!"

"Wonderful experience for an early Valentine's Day romantic weekend. The tables are all along very large windows with wonderful views of Manhattan or the water. It's not too cold since the heaters work well.
The staff is courteous and the food was great. Started off with Lobster Pancakes and although you could only really discern a hint of lobster they were still enjoyable, mostly for their novelty. The main courses have good portions and won't leave you hungry."
