New to Florida & West Palm Beach, I've been trying to experience all of the "great" food places. When Top of the Point was recommended as "the best view of the city" I was all about it. The service was impeccable - Will couldn't have been more attentive or accomodating. The menu was interesting and well-versed. The ambiance was terrific. We happened to go on a night that was overcast - so the view was there but was slightly hidden. Then came the news that we made it by a week...wait...repeat that please. The Top of the Point is closing this week for good. Sold to a legal firm. Why? Who knows. But, regardless, the food was good, the service was great, and the view was almost outstanding. Our first and last experience at Top of the Point.

Although the view is outstanding, aside from the chowder, the food was a disappointment. I had been looking forward to dinner here for well over a year since my original reservation in 2013 had to be cancelled due to a private party that closed the dining room to outside patrons. I don't live in Florida, so this was to be a real treat. I wish it had been. The food was not bad, just not at the level I had expected based on reviews and local recommendaitons.

As a first timer at Top of the Point I had high expectations coming into dinner. The food on it's own was delicious, but the service was really bad. I felt the waiter was of no help and was actually pushy. I felt rushed. The waiter would disappear for long periods of time. We ordered soup as an appetizer, but received no spoons. By the time we found the waiter the soup was no longer hot. The entree came out within minutes of the app and our drink order was able to be placed until after our entree arrived. The food was worth the $300+ we spent on dinner for two, but the service is comparable to that of IHOP or Dennys.

This was our first time dining at The Top of The Point. It was our unconventional pre Valentines day dinner before attending a play at the Kravitz, and a surprise planned evening out for my wife. The on line reservation was easy, my special request of a window seat was accommodated, with the best seat for two. What a beautiful view of Palm Beach and the Intracoastal. The wait staff was excellent, food was good, not fantastic, expected food to be as wonderful as the ambiance, and service but was well presented. Overall an enjoyable and memorable evening.

Although overall we loved our meal and had a great time celebrating our early Valentine's Day, we did notice that the service has declined since our last visit in October. It may have something to do with the fact that the restaurant is closing in one month. It was not up to our expectations for Breakers standards. Luckily, the food overwhelmingly made up the difference. I hope that some of the wonderful dishes from Top of the Point are incorporated across the Breakers collection.

Very disappointing This should have been a lovely romantic setting with excellent food and wine. Instead we were seated by the very noisy bar. Our server knew little about the menu items; the food we ordered (snapper and crab cakes) were mediocre at best but the prices were high. The oysters were good though. The wine was very overpriced -- roughly a 5 fold mark up over retail. Overall experience was very poor.

I don't think the hostess should be freely telling people the restaraunt is closing in March. Our table of 9 started to joke that we were going to be served old food they are trying to clear out. Don't worry, the food was fresh and tasty. Overall it was a 7/10, which isn't that good considering it is an upscale restaraunt.

Top of the Point is an outstanding restaurant that is managed by the Breakers. The views of the intracoastal and Plam Beach make for a wonderful background. It is the perfect spot to enjoy great dinner conversation. The bone-in filet was excellent as were the gorgonzola fries that were an appetizer. I was very sad to learn that the restaurant will be closing in March as the new owner is turning it into condos.

The room has a great view but the lights inside are on too high to really enjoy it. The room was super cold and the staff said they couldn't control it.they only had one bottle of the wine we chose and then proposed one that was 40% more without offering some accommodation. The food is gone but not special enough to overcome these flaws. The servers were great. The front staff was not as polished, shouting out whose birthday is it versus bring discreet about a surprise. All in there area my better Palm Beach spots to dine at.

The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. The servings were larger than we expected but even with an appetizer and salad we were able to comfortably finish everything. The wait staff was personable and attentive and the food was served in a timely manner. The menu offered something for everyone. Our dining experience was special and we would reccomend T.O.P. to anyone fortunate enough to afford this venue. If you are picking this restaurant for sight seeing and views it is advisible to dine before it is dark outside. At night time the reflection of the windows obscured a clear view the sights. A mirror effect limited distance views. This did not diminish our overall expereince and eagerly await another meal there.
