My server Michael was excellent. The brunch included lobster ceviche, lobster bisque, Caesar salad, caviar station with blinis, oysters on the half shell, cracked crab, shrimp, smoked fish, cheese plate, cured meats, omelet station, excellent prime rib au jus, leg of lamb au jus, steak, chicken, pasta, dim sum, scrambled eggs, fresh toast, sausage, bacon, fresh fruit, the famous Mark Hopkins bread pudding, French pastries, white chocolate covered cheesecake popsicles, hazelnut lollipops, strawberry shortcake, and champagne. I am a regular customer and appreciate the consistent quality and service.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful 90th birthday celebrationWe went for my grandfathers 90th birthday celebration as he last visted The Mark in 1946. We all spent the night in the hotel and had drinks the afternoon before and brunch the following day. I have never seen such a caring display by all of those we encountered. From the birthday deserts in his room and at the table to the wonderful surprise monogrammed handkerchief the staff gave him.
