  • "What a better way to celebrate two successful years in Boston than at Top of the Hub? Service was wonderful! Our waiter, Joel, was jovial and brought energy to the table whenever he presented a dish or checked on us. I started with a very succulent duck confit with potato gnocchi, paired with the Shoofly Shiraz. On to the braised short rib, cooked to such a tender perfection that the meat almost fell apart by my own sheer will power. It was served over asparagus, creamy bleu cheese, and mashed potatoes. The snap and saltiness of the asparagus combined with the smooth sweetness of the rib was magnificent. I finished the night with the espresso crème brulee and a Glenfiddich 21 year single malt scotch, both great choices. Molto bene!"

  • "My husband and I choose to celebrate our 30th anniversary at The Top Of The Hub restaurant . It was a perfect choice ! The hostess welcomed us immediately upon arrival , very pleasant person . We arrived a bit early so enjoyed a glass of wine in the lounge area which was an awesome spot to start our evening ! We were seated promptly at our reserved dinner time and we were thrilled they sat us at the window as I had requested in the reservation message ! Service was amazing , food superb and overall a spectacular place to celebrate !"

  • "They really do not need great food to bring people there! The location is amazing, with extraordinary view of Boston.During the summer time, if you arrive by 7.30 you can enjoy both daylight and nigh view.About the window table:my husband and I went on sunday, so I guess is more easier to fit customer requests than friday or saturday. We initially were set in a non-window table. We asked for a window table and they told us that if we were prone to wait a bit longer they'd have been able to make us happy.Indeed, we waited 10 minutes longer and we enjoyed view. The service was good, just a bit lazy to check about water. The food: we didn't like very much and it was very expensive. If your priority is the food, consider a different restaurant."

  • "The service was excellent. The waiters were friendly informative and accommodating. However the food was disappointing. The price point was above average about $38 a plate. The pork chops were overdone, the chicken was tasteless and dry, the clam chowder was not creamy, the salmon was average, the filet mignon was overcooked and tough on the outer crust and rare on the inside. The only thing that tasted good and worth the price was the veal special for the day. The bar was crowded and the bathrooms were filthy by 6PM. It was an impressive view, but I'd recommend you visit the skywalk for a view and go eat somewhere else."

  • "Went to lunch on Saturday with family from out of town. We wore sun dresses, sandals, guys wore khakis and collared shirt. People walked in with Rolling Stones t shirts, cargo shorts and sneakers on! We thought this was a classy place but it obviously has NO dress code. Kind of spoiled the special occasion feel!!!"

  • "We had the seven-course dinner with accompanying wine to each dish. Everything was good to OK but nothing stood out or was truly impressive. If you have been to fine dining restaurants in France or elsewhere in Europe you will most certainly be disappointed by Top of the Hub."

  • "We requested a table at a window in our reservation and did not receive one. There is no point in dining there if you have to look through people to have a view of Boston."

  • "Food was great service perfect as always. We never feel rushed and relaxed with a "French Martini" before ordering our dinner. We will be back !!!"

  • "I booked this restaurant to spend a good time with my fiancé. We are from Toronto. We were celebrating our 6 years anniversary as I mentioned on writing in the online reservation and I asked for a window seat. When we got there at 8 our table was not ready and we were asked to wait half an hour. While we waited my fiancé tried to order a drink and he was asked for his id. He showed her his id and was told he needed a passport. I then tried to get a drink with a photocopy of my passport and that was not good enough either. I asked for the manager and he said there was nothing he could do because it was the law and that this happened all the time. If that is the case, you should put it on yourwebsite; it's that easy, Ithen wouldhave broughtit"

  • "the only disappointment going to the restaurant was that you could not see all of Boston because of all the tables which I do understand. so I was told to go to the 50th floor. We did got to that floor and after spending a lot of money in your restaurant we had to pay another $16.00 per person to walk around. The restaurant should give a pass or at least a discount to get a nice look of the city. Just my opinion."

  • "This is the most spectacular view of Boston ! We had a window table because we had 6pm reservations with out of town visitors. Staff was very nice to the children ages 10and 12. Menu somewhat limited but everyone loved their meal. They didn't pressure us to turn the table over but we did ask and they said 8pm would be optimal. It's a highlight for Boston visitors ."

  • "This must be the best venue for a restaurant ever. Top of the "Pru" tower; views in all directions over the city. I'd recommend booking, because you'd ideally want a window seat. Good service, and the place felt very relaxed on a Thursday lunchtime in late July. Not "stuffy" at all. Everyone was enjoying the views, and nobody minded people wandering around each others' tables later on to see the view in different directions. The food was good, but the wine-list is a bit pricey."

  • "Why did i go?? I wanted the view.. Heard great things.. Asked for table with a good view and that is all i got..lobster roll had a four inch hair in it.. Had to be replaced.. My waiter disappeared and never refilled my tea...i finally got up and got someone to refill it..i mentioned it was my birthday on my reservation.. Well no one gave a damn cause waiter never even mentioned it.... Can i have my money back please..I LOVED BOSTON..oh and further insult, disappearing waiter asked table next to me .. Would you like for me to take a pix of all of you.. WE DONT HAVE A PIX OF THE TWO OF US.."

  • "We were fortunate to get the best table in the house for views and it was fantastic to see the sun go down and darkness descend on a great city. The service was very personal - we were served by Martin an Englishman who knew all the dishes, describing them accurately with passion and he was a great asset to the restaurant. The food was terrific, we had the 5 course tasting menu with the wine flight that went with it. Only one dish failed to impress - and that might be down to personal taste - everything else was excellent. On top of this it was great value - the bill came to less than I was expecting."

  • "Loved everything about the top of the hub, took my boyfriend for his 25th birthday. The food was amazing, drinks were fanTasic, our server was very nice. The only thing I was disapointed about was that I requested a window seat an did not receive it. Was pretty bummed because it was our first time there & it was also a special occasion , but I understand they can't give everyone a window seat.. Doesn't mean I'm going to give them a bad review . We still had a great view from our table"

  • "Service was almost as spectacular as the view. I loved the brunch choices I selected (wish the ravioli portion was bigger). Waiter was very helpful and I would recommend this destination to visitors of Boston area. Great photo opportunity for great memories."

  • "I really liked the atomsphere at Top of the Hub. I haven't been here in awhile and forgot just how beautiful my city was until I seen the view. This is one of my favorite places and the food was outstanding and satisfying. What a way to spend my 40th Birthday!! Shot out to the Services. Awesome service. As well as the hostess."

  • "The first thing the staff tells you is: you know it's a 24$ per person minimum. We asked for a window seat and we were at the very centre of the restaurant with at least 4 tables separating us from the view. The noise was very high and the food was not exceptional. Not good if you are looking for a relaxed night!"

  • "Thank you for a wonderful night, we will celebrate our future anniversaries with you as we have in the past. Always a wonderful experience for both the eyes and the palate! The views are second to none and the food is as creative in flavor as the presentation."

  • "Top of the Hub is a classic date spot. The food and service are good (but not world class), but the view is the main reason people come here. And let me tell you...the view is worth it. Try to go around sunset; see the city in daylight, then light up after the sun goes down."

  • "It was my first time there, they were able to accommodate a seat by a window and the views were breathtaking. I wish I could post pictures on this. The food was phenomenal and I found our bill to be very reasonably priced given the three course meal, drinks, service, and incredible atmosphere. Perfect date night."

  • "Took my girlfriend there for Birthday dinner. I requested window table on the reservation. They did not give us window table and put us in a corner behind the row of window tables. No point in going there just for food. One can get about the same or better food in North End restaurants. Service was great, but I am disappointed that I did not get the table I requested explicitly on reservation. I could have changed my dinner time if I was made aware of that before I went there. I would not go there again unless I know I am getting window tables."

  • "Amazing experience, service was very professional. Views are great, and exceeded my expectation at sunset. Only downfall was my steak was not the best cut, very chewy."

  • "So overall a very good experience. Took someone special and the food was great, they have a great wine list although a tiny bit overpriced (but considering the view was worth it). Our waiter was Mario, who was on point every step of the way. My only issue was after requesting a window table (never guaranteed) we didn't get one. I understood this, but when one opened up right next to us about 5 minutes after we sat down, the hostess flatly said "no". Not that I need the warm and fuzzy feeling from everyone that works there but the hostess that night was rude. Overall not a totally damper on the evening considering that everything else went so well, but as your point person for the restaurant, maybe they should rethink their choice."

  • "My boyfriend and I went there for a romantic evening. The ambiance and decor was modern and luxurious. The view of Boston from the 52nd floor was to die for. We sat near the window and it was perfect at sunset over the water. The wait staff was respectful and the food was delicious. I had the filet minon and my boyfriend had the NY-strip. They were cooked perfectly. The NY-strip was served with the most delicious mac & cheese I've ever had. It was so cheesy and crispy on top. I kept stealing from his plate. We ordered the espresso creme brulee for dessert with berries. It was a little expensive, but worth the delicious meal and view."

  • "This is the Top scenic view in Boston as I have been there several times and would recommend it as the #1 restaurant with a view although the price is pricey"

  • "The food is decent but not really worth what it is priced at. You will mostly be posting for the name, view and location. Pretty okay and good for that one special occasion."
