  • "There is just nothing bad to be said about Tony's. From the moment you walk in the door, you become the most important person in the restaurant. We stopped in the bar for a cocktail and to see our favorite bartenders. The raw bar is the best in the city. My husband had the filet for dinner and I had the tuna, both were perfectly prepared. The service at Tony's is second to none! The servers or Shane can always recommend a bottle of wine that pairs perfectly with what ever we both order. It's the wonderful food and outstanding service keeps us coming back for more!"

  • "The ambience was very good and the food was outstanding. However, service was not what I expected. Our food took longer than expected (almost an hour before salads came out). We order drinks when we were seated and server never checked in the two and half hours we were there to ask if we would like another drink. The water boy; however, did keep our water glasses filled and was very nice. I believe it was just a crazy day for our server and will eat there again in hopes that the serves will be what I expect from Tony's. Overall, it's a nice place!"

  • "Great location for a romantic late night dinner. Intimate booths or open tables. Live jazz band was pretty good. The bar side was packed. Rib eye was perfect. Soup was fantastic. Bar was the usual noisy but the booth kept it down so we could talk. Late night dinner after a show at the Taft."

  • "My wife and I had heard from friends about how good Tony's surf and turf was, so we decided to try it out. The lobster was overcooked and tough. The filet wasn't cooked as requested, and it needed some steak sauce to actually make it palatable. At Valentine's Day, my wife and I had gotten surf and turf at Bonefish for $29 each, and it was an awesome meal. We paid almost twice that for the same meal at Tony's ($55), and it was nowhere near as good. Our last visit to Tony's."

  • "This isn't just the best Steakhouse in Northern Cincinnati, it is the best in all of Greater Cincinnati...sorry Jeff, there's a new King in town! Arguably, Tony's has one of the best chefs in Cincinnati - Harvey Germain, along with amazing steaks, outstanding seafood, great bartenders and servers, with a super bar scene! They also have an excellent wine list, and a great bar menu. From the moment you walk into the restaurant the staff at the desk will greet you with a smile and the spoiling begins!"

The steaks were of the highest quality and expertly prepared. Kevin was our attentive server anticipating all our needs. What a wonderful first impression!!"

The restaurant was able to accommodate our change. The food was wonderful as usual at Tony's. The serving crew was great as usual and the birthday girl enjoyed a chocolate desert on the house!   • "My husband and I went with another couple and we could not have had a better time. Our reservations were for 7:15, and we arrived about 6:50 and they sat us right away. We were at a very nice sized table for 4 kind of Tucked away in a corner and it was so nice cause we could talk and hear each other easily. The tables weren't right on top of each either, which was nice. Our server Scott was excellent. The food was all cooked Perfectly. When I had made the reservation I marked that we Were celebrating a birthday, and they brought a dessert with a candle in it. It was a nice sentiment."

  • "Food was very good. The service was slow and would have been a complete disaster if the owner hadn.t come to the table, apologized and paid for one of our bottles of vine and deserts. He was genuine and explained they ran into an issue with a large party. (a wedding party in a room near us,)"

  • "I came in with my husband to celebrate our anniversary and was very impressed from start to finish. When we arrived the hostess wished us a happy anniversary and took us directly to our table. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and was able to assist us in paring a fantastic wine with our dinners. The steak was hands down the best I've ever had and far better than anything else in the city. I really look forward to going back soon and will recommend this place all my friends."

  • "Had a great dining experience for my anniversary. Food quality was well above par. Servers were attentive. Kudos to the busboy who really worked the tables and saw to our needs. Had full meal from appetizers (shrimp coctail wasexquisite!) drinks and dessert. Price was what would be expected from an above average restaurant. Noise level a little high but only because of a large group nearby."

  • "Problems from the start. Ordered two glasses of wine and a beer, wines were delivered quickly but it took another 5 minutes for the beer to arrive. Seated a little before 7PM, ordered in a timely manner, all of us ordered steak medium-rare. Entrees weren't served until after 8PM. My steak was way overdone. Staff replaced it quickly. Floor captain apologized for delay saying they had booked too many parties at the same time. Caesar salad was so-so, dressing was unremarkable, no zip to it. The rub on the steaks was tasty as were the roasted mushrooms. Despite the screwups and delays and the fact that it was my wife's birthday, no one offered a free dessert or any other enticement to return. Go to Eddie Merlot's or Ruby's next time."

  • "Bread was excellent. Salad was excellent. Shrimp cocktail was excellent. Chocolate mousse was excellent. Steak tasted like bouillon (not good). Service was a little slow, but we actually liked that because we had some wine and listened to the jazz band. In my opinion, overall did not measure up to other steak houses in similar price category. Will make a different choice next time."

  • "The food here is very good! My husband and I were celebrating his birthday and were referred to Tony's by a friend. While we were happy with the food and overall service, the embience was not what we had hoped for. Our table, which was pressed up against a wall, was right next to 2 very large groups of people who were all part of the same group. The noise level was so loud, my husband and I kept having to repeat ourselves as we shouted across the table to one another. On the other side of the room there were more groups of people, and the overall noise level remained high right up until we left around 10:15pm. It would be nice if there was an area for smaller groups or parties of 2 where we could dine in a more quiet environment."

  • "The food was delicious and the wine selection was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed the jazz bad as it wasn't too loud and didn't feel like they we're in the way. Everybody that we encountered at the restaurant were friendly and seem as if the genuinely enjoyed their job no matter their position. The place was clean and everyone was professional. It's great to see members stoping by your table to make sure your experience is a great one because they want to and care, not because there was something wrong with your food or somebody was rude."

  • "Among the seemingly endless array of steak houses in Cincinnati, Tony's is certainly a credible suburban alternative. The steaks were well prepared. The service, however, was borderline aggravating. I had to tell our server three times that we were ready to order. But we had to wait until he was ready. Tony was present in the dining room checking on other tables, but never bothered to check on us. Probably won't be back for a long time."

  • "For Dad's 91st birthday last Saturday we had a wonderful meal, great service and we went home full and pleased. My Dallas Clark NY strip was charred on the outside and tender on the inside. My wife's pork chop was moist, and Dad's clean plate told me the filet was fine. Dessert was great, my wife and I split a cheesecake and Dad had a Happy Birthday creame brulee with a candle. Thanks to Tony, and the staff at Tony's, you made the WWII vet very happy. Tony's is now the go-to steak house for us. Thank you very much and we will see you again. We will not wait until the old Marine turns 92 to return. Ken Kappel"

  • "We have been die hard JEff Ruby frequent diners, and even know Tony from back in those days...In fact, The Precinct has been our altime favorite steak place literally in the world (and yes, I have done quite a bit of travelling world-wide an domestic so I feel very justified in offering my opinion. HOWEVER, our experince this past Saturday evening, was quite excuisite ! I think we have our new favorite place! Great job Tony !!!!"

  • "I had yet to find a restaurant in Cincinnati that could compete with the Jeff Ruby conglomerate (other than Ruth's Chris) for great steaks, but Tony's should be added to that list. I was impressed with the décor, ambience, and quality of the service. That's all well and good, but if the steak ain't right none of that matters, and Tony's ensured that the steak was right! A great ribeye (and an awesome sea bass for my date), with quality side items and fabulous presentation. All at a reasonable price as well (perhaps even a better value than the Ruby group's prices). I will definitely return to Tony's in the future."

  • "This was our first visit to Tony's. The service was fantastic from the minute we walked in the door. We had a group of 10 and had a few people running late and the hostess was very pleasant about it. She didn't rush us to take our seats and had the table ready for us when we were ready to be seated. The food was great and everyone that worked there was extremely friendly and made sure we were happy."

  • "The food was good, as expected. The service was good as well. But the music played was too loud and interfered with conversation, both before and after the piano bar performance began. It was hard to talk with my guests and hard to hear the waiter without shouting. For instance, the waiter had to repeat the specials and move to my side of the table in order to hear him."

  • "I have been to Tony's multiple times and always enjoyed Dane as my server. I was sad to hear he was no longer there. My server this round was noticeable preoccupied with other guest and not me and my guest. He walked past us multiple times without asking if we needed anything but attended to other guest. When he did address my table he was in a hurry, talked way too fast and missed several things we wanted the first time. I was very unhappy with the service after I had RAVED to my friend how awesome Tony's food and the restaurant was. Initially, I thought I was being bias because I loved Dane but it was unpleasantly noticeable to my guest."
