Tony's on the UES has all that I love about the restaurant plus more! Unlike the 43rd St location, UES offers half and full size portions. The half size is perfect for 2 people and left room in our pockets and tummy for dessert. Btw... One issue, however -- it is odd they do not have soup on the menu, at any time. It can tend to be noisy, depending on where you sit and the day of the week. She was right on all counts. Would definitely come here again the next time we're in the city. The bread is phenomenal! The food is always fantastic, and there is something for everyone. Although it is family-style, the UES location offers "half" portions which are very accommodating for very small parties (such as a party of 2 or 3) trying to satisfy different appetites or cravings. The service is always impeccable - friendly, polite and knowledgeable about the selections. The restaurant also offers a warm atmosphere that tops off the experience. We were happy to find that the food was just as good as the midtown location. The UES place was much bigger and so the tables were more spread out, making it quieter and easier to hear each other speak. The food was great! Such huge portions. We had the spaghetti with marinara and the chicken parmesan, both the full portions, and it was huge. It may have been enough for four people. Next time we will order half portions for each. The sangria was also very good. The waiter we had was also great! He was very attentive!
