  • "We had a family dinner at this conveniently-located site adjacent to Times Square. Service was prompt and efficient. Our Kosovo-born server was excellent. Our group of five was impressed by the veal parmegian, chicken marsala, and ziti Bolognese. Three platters for five and food leftovers! Highly recommend. Just a bit noisy, however."

  • "Un accueil inamical malgré la réservation. Table au sous sol, salle hyper bruyante. Dommage, ça gâche tout."

  • "Been going to Tony's every chance I get. everything about the place is 5 star. ever changing specials are something to look foward too. Highy recommended if you are in the Times Square area. Reservations are a must to get a table at the day and time you need."

  • "Best Chicken Parm ever; Patty was our server and she was exceptional; very attentive; anticipated our every need/desire; did not have to ask for anything extra, etc. she new what we needed. I visit this place every time I'm in the city and Patty was the best server I've ever had at this restaurant."

  • "My girlfriends and I went to this restaurant before a Broadway show. We had never been here to eat before. I requested a round table and they accommodated me. All our courses that we selected were delicious. The waiter was very attentive to us and efficient. He explained that we could also have a family style dish as an order and 1/2. There is a large selection of desserts and we were all quite satisfied with our meal. I would definitely revisit Tony DiNapoli's and look forward to my next dining experience with my family."

  • "Three of us had a lovely early dinner. We ordered two dishes. Family style dishes are the order of the day. The bolognese sauce was luscious. A bit of sweetness balancing the acidity of the tomato base sauce. Eggplant dish had a nice texture. Not too al dente and not "mushy." The wine selections by the glass as in most Italian restaurants are table wines--nothing special. We will be back."

  • "After a tough month or work in the office, I decided to take my team out for a 'thank-you' lunch. Eight if us fit nicely at a round table. The server was friendly and attentive. The food was spectacular as usual. Everybody is still talking about the zucchini fritti! We stayed for two hours and nobody rushed us. A very nice place to relax with my coworkers."

  • "Wonder wonderful lunch experience. To my. surprise the waiter came to our table singing Happy Birthday in Italian to my friend along with a canoli complete with whipped crème and a candle. When I first booked the reservation online I wrote and asked if they did anything special for a birthday lunch. I did not hear anything further regarding this so I just dismissed it. I was and my friend were so delighted to have this special treatment. And, the manager came over to me and said "see I do read what's written on the reservations. this place is a definite keeper and we will be going back frequently. the food was the best Italian that I have ever had."

  • "I have been to Tony's twice and loved it both times!! The food is awesome, great atmosphere, and wonderful staff! We found Tony's a couple of years ago when we couldn't get in to Carmine's. Now we think we like Tony's better!! It's a great place to have dinner in NYC!"

  • "1st time here. We were about to order 5 items off the menu (5 people in group), when the Fantastic waiter explained to us what " family style" really was. Thank god for his advice. We picked 3 items plus a pasta dish off the menu, and we still took home some leftovers ! BTW, it was the best Italian food we had EVER had !!!! Also, one house salad fed all 5 of us. Every staff member we came in contact with was absolutely fabulous and friendly. We will return here many, many more times on our city trips !!"

  • "We brought friends from Charlotte after boasting how great & generous the portions are at Tonys . Fantastic meal & friends were amazed at such a find in Times Square !"

  • "I often suggest this place when accompanying visiting out-of-towners around the city and we end up in Times Sq. They're unsure when they walk in as the space is huge, but the second they taste the food they're always highly impressed -- without exception. The Calamari and delicious Marinara sauce, Penne A La Vodka with Mushrooms, and, of course, the Sangria are particular favorites but I haven't had anything there that was short of delicious. The hosts try hard to accommodate you upon arrival, and the table staff are attentive without rushing you. A fine place to dine."

  • "Be ready..."family style" here means 1 plate can feed 6 people! My husband and I ordered one plate of spaghetti and one plate of meatballs and sausage and literally made 4 meals out of the leftovers over the following week. But that ended up being okay because the meatballs were INCREDIBLE!! Honestly, the BEST meatballs we had ever tasted. Make reservations - if you "walk-in" I think you can expect to wait. Its a must do in NYC."

  • "We went here 2 years ago when we were in town and couldn't wait to go back. It did not diisappoint us. Staff is wonderful, yummy food and great atmosphere. It was the one restaurant my daughter requested! Wish they had individual portions, so we could have tried more foods. Portions are huge. Great for big groups."

  • "Made an online reservation here for two on our last night in NYC, as we were looking to have a good Italian meal before leaving. Arrived about 15 minutes early for our 9 PM reservation but were seated immediately. Noise level was a bit higher than we like (mainly overall conversation levels) but it wouldn't keep us from coming back. The food was outstanding and the portions were huge, including the calamari appetizer)! We received a full plate of calamari (compared to 5 small pieces of crab-stuffed-mushrooms at another restaurant the previous night for nearly the same cost). Shared a Chicken and Eggplant and only got through half. We'd definitely recommend Tony's and will also most definitely dine here again during any future NYC visits!"

  • "I am Italian and the food was very disappointing. we ordered the Italian Sausage and peppers, the sausage was not very good tasting at all. The fettuccine sauce was very light in texture not heavy like it should be. The Veal Parmesan had onions in it, never saw it done like that before. Overall I would not eat there again."

  • "Dishes are served family style for 2-3 people. We had Cold Antipasto platter for appetizer and it was great. Did not look like a lot of food but lots of variety and very appetizing. It comes with a bunch of fresh basil which I would break off and eat with the vegetables. Yum. Bread they gave was tasty, no olive oil though, just butter. For entree we had Chicken and Eggplant with a side of Broccoli Rabe. Both platters were tremendous in size and taste. 4 chicken breasts sandwiched between two pieces of eggplant parmigiana-style with a great red gravy. Finally, our server was excellent, friendly, attentive and everything came quickly especially considering how busy they were. Only negative was how loud the place was."

  • "the restaurant was not packed. we ordered our lunch and waited and waited until 50 minutes later our lunch came out. the tables around us were seated after us and got their food before us. seems like the waiter must have forgotten the order...when the food came out, the food was ok. stuff that we could make at home and taste the same. the linguini with clams were average and the pasta used seems to be from store bought and not freshly made. we wanted a change from the carmine's scene but next time i'll stick to carmines..."

  • "What a great restaurant in the middle of the Theater District. The portions are huge- so lots of sharing - which they encourage. It was so good we ate there the 2 nights we were in town. Prompt service, wonderful food and the reservation capability is a plus for me. Can't wait to go back."

  • "We have been to Tony DiNapoli's on multiple occasions. The good is very consistent every time we go and the service is top notch. The last time we were there, we were stuck in major delays at the Lincoln tunnel and had to change our reservation time. We called the restaurant directly and they were very polite and understanding. I would definitely recommend Tony's to everyone who visits midtown."

  • "If you are in Times Square this is is a must stop. Excellent food and quick friendly service. If you don't want to be quick you don't have to be! Food keeps getting better each time we come back!! Celebrated my birthday and received a photo to take home! A+++"

  • "If you don't know good Italian food then this place is for you. I was raised eating Italian food made by my grandmother from Italy. Antipasta was from a jar, I've had much better penne vodka. Was not impressed at all"

  • "Since I love to cook (and am very good at it), I "never" order pasta as a main course when I go out to eat. The only "rule breaker" for this is Tony's DiNapoli's "Spaghetti Bolognese"! It it TO DIE for! OMG! I've brought many gatherings to dinner here over the years, and this dish is a staple. Won't leave without having it! Also, the calamari, mussels, chicken dishes (I've tried many) and the salads are always a super-hit. Just delicious food....great service....lively atmosphere....my favorite restaurant!!!"

  • "This restaurant is a great find, but judging the number of people on a Sunday night, the secret is out. We loved the ambiance of this restaurant and the food was delicious. Our server was very friendly and helpful getting through the menu with so many selections. There is no doubt it was noisy but that was part of the feel. Food came promptly but never felt rushed. Portions are large, family style, but still well prepared. This restaurant is a great value for the quality of food. If we lived in New York we would be regulars."

  • "Un service hors pair, une bonne table dans une belle ambiance, quoi demander de mieux ?! Prix qualité plus qu'acceptable, si on connait le concept de service, il ne peut pas y avoir de mauvaise surprise sur la facture."

  • "Great for grabbing a quick bite before a show. Good came out quickly fatter being ordered!"

  • "Noise level was high but a lot of that was due to the world cup final on TV. After Brazil won the noise level went down somewhat. There are tables downstairs that were much quieter if you want to have any sort of conversation with the people you are with."

  • "Wonderful experience with all the tastes and smells of authentic Italian food. We had the cold antipasto, the vodka rigatoni, and the chicken francese. All great tasting. The francese sauce was lighter than others but so tasty we were dipping our bread into it. Patty was an excellent server and the meal pace was just right."
