  • "We had show tickets for 8:00. Our reservation for dinner was for 6:00. Our table was ready, dinner was served immediately... Food was excellent! We were out by 7:20... Definitely recommended!!!!"

  • "We especially like to go to Tony's because of the quick service. We come to New York only for the day and have to get our bus at 6:45. Most shows are over by 4:30. We usually make our resverations for 5. We had plenty of time to enjoy our meal and we did have to keep looking at our watches so we don't miss our bus. Recommend this restaurant to all my friends. "

  • "Booked Tony's from UK as a surprise for my girlfriend and her 2 daughters while they were on holiday. The added surprise was I turned up to meet them! Couldn't have asked for a better restaurant, for food, atmosphere, location. Some reviews say it's noisy, to me it was just a busy, vibrant, well ran restaurant. Meatballs as starter was superb, with chicken and scampi for main, lovely food. Definitely go again when in NY."

  • "Love the food here! It's family style and more than enough for four. Absolutely love the Chicken and Eggplant! Pastas & salads are great too. We had zucchini fritta for an appetizer and they were delicious! I could eat just their bread and drink the sangria all night! Service was terrific--friendly, not rushing, quick to our needs. Can't wait for our next NYC trip!"

  • "We have been to Tony DiNapoli's on multiple occasions. They serve most of their dishes Family-style; which suits us well. We started with their House Salad, a fresh mix of lettuce, carrots, tomatoes and olives, with a very good vinaigrette dressing. We had the veal parmesan which was very tender and had a great flavor. Because we were a group of five, we also had shrimp parmesan, which was made with decent sized shrimp that was breaded and fried, but not greasy. For our pasta, we got penne ala vodka, which was covered in a creamy tomato sauce of just the right consistency. Service at Tony DiNapoli's is quick and efficient; just what you need to make your show on time! We all said we liked our meal better here than at Carmine's."

  • "A true Italian restaurant with delicious food. And abound for us they have gluten free pasta...the only thing that would have made it better was if they had gluten free meatballs!"

  • "This restaurant is a great spot for locals and put of towners. The food is fantastic and service is great! An A+ for me and my family!"

  • "The service was okay, the waiter forgot to get us more bread, so we had to ask the busboy. Cesar salad wasn't worth $21.00 it had very little dressing and not much flavor."

  • "We researched many Italian restaurants for our weekend trip to NYC this past weekend. Tony D's was our top choice and did NOT dissapoint. In fact, we almost decided to dine there again (only in town 3 days)...it was THAT GOOD! Our waiter was very knowledgeable, recommended dishes that paired well together and truly had an affinity for ensuring we had a good time. This will be a place we choose again and again when we visit NYC."

  • "Great affordable post theater meal at Tony's. Arrived early for our reservation, and were seated shortly. Waiter pleasant and helpful Good Italian in hearty portions."

  • "Arrived on time, seated late, food portions not as big as promoted, food was okay and nothing more and was not very hot. Fairly pricey for what it was"

  • "Have been at Tony's 10+ times, for lunch and dinner, with either friends or family. Food is excellent, service is also excellent. The staff are all pleasant and efficient. My grandson is allergic to peanuts and other foods and we have no problem knowing that it is a safe place for him to eat. They also are very pleasant to children. Always make a reservation because otherwise they are booked."

  • "Our first trip to NY City ; Chose this restuarant as close to the Theater. Only order the Caesar Salad and Tortelini and still too much food. Food was great would highly recommend. Value for price was exceptional."

  • "I had eaten here several times prior and the food was very nice. this time the food was very disappointing. we ordered the special pasta dish- farfalle with shrimp and vegetables. pasta was mushy and dish was flavorless. We also had chicken francase and eggplant parm. Both were average at best. We were all disappointed and didnt even bother with dessert. My co-workers and I were trying ti out again as we were hoping to book our Spring Party there but the food was not good at all so we will need to keep looking. For the money, there are much better Italian places in the area."

  • "I would have given this restaurant four stars except for the fact that you cannot hold a conversation with your dinning partner unless your want to yell. The noise level is WAY TOO LOUD (especially at 11:30 at night)."
    Dined on 4/12/2014
  • "The server was amazing! He recommended a great wine but the food was too much for 2 people and my husband was not impressed since he is Italian. We could barely hear each other so ask for a corner booth if you go."

  • "We were a party of 7 and advised that one dish would feed 2 people approx - so we ordered 4 mains and weren't disappointed. They were huge! But, more importantly the food was the best Italian I've ever had. A true gem!"

  • "Good food, LOTS of it! Server very helpful. Even though it was a Pre-Theater meal, we never felt rushed. I would not recommend this place for less than four people in your group. The White Sangria was delicious and oh! those zucchini chips!"

  • "Had an enjoyable lunch for 2 adults and 3 children - girl's day out for a pre-theater meal. Sharing portions are adequate for 2-3 people and sharing was fun. The Calamari was some of the best that I have ever had in my 43 years. The rings were large and tender and had a lovely golden hue. The location is very close to all the Times Square attractions. A great find."

  • "my friends wanted to dine at carmine's, however, I persuaded them to try something new. I am so glad they listened to me. your place is far better than carmine's. Our waiter, whose name has escaped me, but he was Albanian, was outstanding. that's exactly how a server should perform. I have already recommended your restaurant to others. we would definitely return"

  • "Had a great experience from start to finish. All the staff were very cordial. The food was excellent. My only slight complaint was the food could of been a little warmer. Mentioned that the pasta was not hot , the waiter immediately took it away and shortly returned with a fresh steaming hot full plate of pasta. On top of that the manager came over and apologized for the inconvenience. If in new York city I would highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "When I booked this I was unsure about whether we would like this, however after reading reveiws it was clear that this place was a pretty good restaurant. When we arrived we were shown to our tables immediatly. The service was very good and food arrived almost immediatly! Potion sizes are meant for 2-4 people(more towards the 4!)This was great as you got alot of food for your money, issue was that it was mainly party tables, we sat next to 2 parties of 6-7 and the noise level grew alot, as it was just the 2 of us it got to a point were it was hard to speak to each other. I wouldnt advise going as a couple, or if you do pick a quieter time to go. However besides the noise, I cant complain about the food or the service, both were exceptional!"

  • "My teenage daughter and I went here on our 1st night in NYC. The restaurant was full of life . Since the dishes serve 2-3, we only ordered spaghetti and meatballs for our entree. The meatballs were Huge but they were barely warm and very hard and compact. We were expecting NYC Italian To blow away Atlanta Italian, but we were wrong. We had Shared a dessert that was decent. So if you are ever In Atlanta, go to Ippolitto's for some awesome Italian food."

  • "6:30 reservation for 2. Arrived at 6:20, checked in and was told we would be seated in 10-15 min. Sounded good, no problem. 6:45 I checked with the host to see if they began seating their 6:30 crowd. They said they had and that we would be seated in about 10 minutes because people were just finishing up. We were not seated until 7:05....and by then I was pretty annoyed. I don't expect to wait 35 minutes with a reservation. That being said- the waitress was very sweet and attentive and the mussels fra diavolo were delicious. The house salad- truly nothing special. My sister in law commented that is was something she could easily have made at home with bagged lettuce. The chicken piccata was tasty but average . Probably won't go back."

  • "We went here for dinner after a matinee at the theatre. The food is all served family style with each entree feeding 2-3 people. We had a chicken and eggplant dish that was outstanding. The eggplant was melt in your mouth and the sauce was very flavorful. Service was also outstanding. They are fast and efficient. The only negative is the seating. The tables are so close together you have to move the table to get out. Don't expect any privacy."

  • "Tony's Di Napli-Midtown is always a treat and never a disappointment. It is a regular for us on almost all Broadway Theatre nights anywhere near Time Square. The friendly service, super family style food, and exciting buzz of the restaurant leave us feeling sated, satisfied, and happy. Everything is so good we just have to avoid overeating... but that should be our biggest problem in life..."

  • "We were delayed by traffic and parking garages that were filled to capacity and we had 2pm matinee tickets. When we finally arrived at Tony's 30 minutes late for our reservation, the hostess was very gracious and had us seated right away despite the fact that the restaurant was bustling and almost all the tables were filled. With less than a hour for lunch, our server provided us with the menus and then placed our order so we could make the show. The food was very good and we made the show and will certainly return to Tony's."

  • "If you're looking for great Italian, you can't go wrong with Tony D'Napoli's. The ingredients are fresh and delicious;the portions are incredibly generous (1 order is more than enough for 3-4 people); the service is great and you can't beat the location. Try the seafood pasta - Can't beat it!"
