Getting there

  • Public Transit: Take Metro Mover, and get off Omni station, we are on 1717 N. Bayshore Drive, in the Double Tree Grand hotel.
  • Parking: Valet
  • Parking Details: We use Valet service in the DoubleTree Grand Hotel, we are able to validate parking for up to 3 hours, it will cost our guest $3.75. There are also self-parking on the street, and self-parking across the street in Omni Garage.

  • "I ate here a few years ago and didn't think much of it. While attending the nearby Boat Show, I decided to give it another shot. This threadbare, depressing restaurant really failed to please once again. My experience started out badly when I ordered the Szechuan shrimp, the first item listed under seafood. My server told me point blank not to order it. He said most customers don't like it. I asked why, and he couldn't give me an answer. He said people just don't like it. He then proceeded to recommend another shrimp dish that was $8.00 more expensive. Destined to have spicy shrimp, I finally gave in and ordered that. It was fine, but nothing exciting. My seat next to the messy kitchen was no attraction, either. What a disappointment."

The service was extreemly slow and unatenntative the whole night. The meals were tastless. When we brought it to the attention of the waiter and manager we were told to order our food differently the next time...if you decide to come back. We felt belittled and and will probably never go back. Can't figure out how a nornally great restaurant could do so little to please customers."

This time I hosted a group of 17 creating a challenging table alignment but they handled it with ease. Chase took dinner orders from 18 people - got it perfect - and never wrote anything down! There were at least 3 people standing around and talking with each other rather than seeing to our needs. The place is very expensive. It uses really fine ingredients.   • "We were there last Saturday with my out of town friends and had a not so great experience. The starters was great. The Peking Duck was OK. The skin was not crispy as it should. The beef and broccoli was the best of the four. The lamb hotpot was OK. My steamed fish was powdery dry. Came with sauce that was not what I ordered. When I asked for my sauce, the runner delivered three times with a wrong sauce. The waiter was not anywhere near our tables after he took our order until the bill came!. Sure hope they can get back the food and service they used to have. This was the only Chinese restaurant I'd recommend to my friends (I am Asian)I am still going to come back and give them another chance. (and for the appetizers)"

  • "I was extremely underwhelmed by the food here. The Peking duck was not good at all, in fact I would say it was poorly done. The wraps were made from only the skin and lettuce, giving it a thin, greasy flavorThe soup and subsequent stir fry that accompanied the duck were also terrible. Both bland and took all the flavor out of the duck. For a 50 dollar duck dish you would think they would have put a bit more effort in it. To top it off, the service was also substandard. Our waiter was very fast with us and hardly ever came by to check on our table. The check took another 20 minutes to get. Of the restaurants I have tried this week this ranks by far the lowest. It is too bad I really love Chinese food and had such high expecta"

Spring rolls were soaking in grease, main course tenderloin was very tough, waiter was non-existent and we finally flagged down another waiter to clear our table, bring our check and run our card.   • "We were prepared to be "wowed" but found it was just "so-so". You could see the chef preparing your meals through the glass in the dining room and that was interesting but we found the service to be a bit slow and our foods weren't delivered as a "whole order" but rather when each was done. Therefore the other 3 and myself, all finished at different times. We weren't offered refills and had to ask for our check after waiting awhile. The restaurant is right on the water, so that was nice, also, but all in all...not a "must" see/do restaurant."

  • "It's good to go in a group so you get to share & taste other varieties. To starts I recommend the spring rolls & the delicious baked scallops and also the lettuce wraps of a choice of chicken or shrimp. It's a must to order the whole Peking Duck, which it comes in two courses. First course the duck skin wrapped in thin pancake with hoisin sauces & the second course the remainder of the duck meat is stir-fry in vegetable. The sea bass is wonderful which they steamed it & if you prefer meat try the clay pot or the orange beef. The best part is NO MSG. They do serve a sushi. Also have extensive wines from all over the world. You can see the open kitchen & it's clean & all the chefs with their white top chef hats cooking."

It is quite frustrated for holding and asking waiter to get water. No one attend to take an order, and Waite for more time to see waiter to our table. Food is good. Not worth for any occasion Our trip for 60th birthday trip is quite ruined."
