Tony & Joe's Seafood PlaceGreat settingFood and wine were ok and very reasonably priced for this location, right on the Potomac river.
Nice staff and quick service.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful EveningJust steps from the cab, this dining experience was everything we wanted. The scallops melted in my mouth and my wife said the crab cakes were the best of a lifetime. It was graduation weekend and the hum in the restaurant was appropriate.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a fantastic experience. We had a fantastic experience. Great crab in all forms served quickly in a fun but professional setting. Loved it!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Mother's DayWe had a great experience. Although we had been there before, the renovations were great and made the restaurant more inviting. In addition, the jazz, the waterfront scene and the service were outstanidng. I highly recommend.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe needed somewhere to eatWe needed somewhere to eat that was close to the Kennedy Center. Tony and Joe's is a short, easy walk. We went at 6:00, so it was not very full, but was filling up when we left at 7:30. Very enjoyable evening!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat gathering placeWonderful dinner with friends; only thing I'd change is the noise level5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was great...especiallyFood was great...especially seafood. We were seated near the windows, but just overlooking the outdoor seating. It was busy and kind of distracting.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMA great brunch option withA great brunch option with non-stop pouring of mimosas. And, lots of delicious seafood options, in addition to traditional brunch options.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMFood and service were quiteFood and service were quite good. Very thick and tasty Boston Clam Chowder.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMTony & Joe's is our favoriteTony & Joe's is our favorite brunch in DC. The buffet is fabulous and it's hard to beat the view straight down the Potomac. We were completely lost for places to go while the recent renovations were underway and we were worried that the brunch wouldn't be the same after they re-opened. Fortunately they made the dining room even better and the brunch is every bit as good as it always has been.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThe best brunch in DC!! TheThe best brunch in DC!! The food is impeccable and the service is great!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMThe brunch was excellent! The brunch was excellent! A wide variety of food choices, the shrimp omelets, fruit and dessert table was amazing. The Jazz Trio was superb!!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place, but music TOO LOUDWonderful Sunday Brunch at Tony & Joe's; however, the music, while good, was far too loud to allow for a completely comfortable dining experience. The live music should be moved away from the main dining area so close to the patrons. My wife and I were sitting right next to each other but could not talk without having to raise our voices significantly.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMTony & Joes Worked Out GreatFrom out of town, had to find a spot for a nice meal in an interesting location. Tony and Joe’s Sea Food Place worked out very well. Booked through OpenTable 1 day prior for a busy Saturday night. A band played nice upbeat jazz. There was also a large outside seating area. Busy night, but the pace of service was still great– so kudos. The crab cake connoisseur with us was happy with her selection as was the member who selected the seafood steam pot. I had a salad and steak which were very good. The chocolate cake and ice cream were nicely done.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMRestaurant has a fantasticRestaurant has a fantastic location at the Washington Harbor. Busy, high energy area right on the waterfront. We stopped there twice. First time for a cold beer with relaxing and people watching. Good draft beer selection. Second time, we had a late lunch. Appetizers of smoked bluefish and crunchy fried shrimp. Both appetizers were accompanied by slaw type salads with just the right zip. For the main meal, my partner had the salmon and i selected the whole fried Bronzini. Both dishes were excellent and prepared just right -- not overcooked.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat spot to build a fineGreat spot to build a fine restaurant! We enjoyed local seafood, drinks, and view of Potomac, boats, aircraft, and people. We will be back when we visit in DC again this summer.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMSunday Easter brunch was festive,Sunday Easter brunch was festive, great food, especially seafood, and the buffet was continuously well-stocked. A Professional & attentive staff, & an unrushed
dining experience. Tony & Joe's is a favorite of ours and
We have never been disappointed.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMNOT GREAT - EXCEPT OUR SERVEROur second visit within the past few weeks. We had made reservations to celebrate the 80th birthday of my mothers birthday. We had reservations for 7pm. Hitting traffic on Key Bridge, we did the right thing and called the restaurant and suggested we would be about 10 minutes late. We were told, "that's ok". We arrived at 7:07pm. With that our table was obviously given away. Every few minutes we were told it would be another 2 or 3 minutes. At 7:35pm I asked to speak with the manager. No sympathy there as I was told that' the chance you take when you're not there right on time. We were seated 10 minutes later at 7:45. We won't be back anytime soon as we found the manager a bit abrupt, the place noisy, and the food good (not great).3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThey know how to cook seafoodThey know how to cook seafood here! Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. We got great service and a requested table by the window. There is a great vibe throughout the restaurant. We will definitely return on our next visit to Georgetown. Our only recommendation would be to expand the Chardonnay offerings.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWas in DC for the weekendWas in DC for the weekend and had an OUTSTANDING dinner here. We were given a table by the floor to ceiling windows looking out on the boardwalk and the Potomac.1/20/2013 12:00:00 AMOur group of eight reallyOur group of eight really enjoyed our leisurely dinner at Tony & Joe's. Service was excellent, and the Cream of Crab soup was even better. What's more, I did not realize the gratuity has been written into the overall bill, so when I left a substantial tip, our server took great pains to catch us we left to return the money. Even though I knew he was obliged to do this,I left him an additional 12 bucks.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
