Entertainment: The Island Groove is our live band who performs the top 40’s hit songs from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s as well as current hits. The cover charge is $5 per person on Sunday, Wednesday, & Thursday beginning at 8:15pm and $7 per person on Friday & Saturday beginning at 8:00pm. Please keep in mind that once the band starts the cover charge applies to all guests in the restaurant and the bar regardless of the time they arrive.

"The Tonga Room was a retro gem. Old school polynesian restaurant and bar. We had a great time. It's pricy, but it's the Fairmont, nuff said. The music was 60's and 70's and the band was good at what they did. We had a good meal and laughed a lot. It was fun."

"Great venue - fun place to eat and entertain. Good was extremely good as was attention to details on service. My only gripe, was that the entertainment was far too loud. It was very difficult to converse when they were playing. It was a unique experience."

"I would not recommend this restaurant. The waiter wasn't very nice, the food was "okay" but not worth the price, and the ambiance dark and somewhat hokey. Many better restaurants in San Francisco that I would spend my money on."

"The crowd at The Tonga Room was very lively. There appeared to be a lot of people celebrating different occassions including birthdays and work related functions. The food was good and the service was excellent. I thought the drinks were good, but expensive."
