We walked from the DCPA for a before show dinner. I loved the brussel sprouts and sweet potato fries. My husband's burger was good, but he missed the lettuce that usually comes on a burger. My bratwurst sliders were a little dry, but I soaked up some of the mustard from my honey's burger and all was good. The restaurant was very busy, but our service was efficient and friendly.

What Open Table calls "energetic", we call plain "noisy". But we received REALLY friendly, attentive service at Tom's Urban. (Waitress couldn't find our Open Table reservation, however.) Our pre-theatre party of three arrived at three separate times and our waitress made sure that she reminded each person about the close of Happy Hour pricing and assured us (accurately) that the kitchen would be fast with our order once it was in. We all ordered different items: the mac-n-cheese with green chile and carnitas was excellent, as was the smothered burrito. Varied menu allowed for all price ranges which is especially good in now-tony Larimer Square. Portions were large and plated nicely.

Loved Tom's! The food was dynamic and fresh. Although the blue corn tortillas quickly and easily fell apart leaving my taco's innards unrestrained and losing some "street" taco cred as a result. The pork belly were my favorite and the lobster/shrimp a close second despite the shell failure. The cocktails were fabulous and innovative. The service was superb and the wait staff never missed a beat. To not miss a pending curtain we had to cancel dessert and the wait staff responded swiftly and without annoyance. I will be back to try more of the dishes and drinks!

We were excited to try Tom's after a personal recommendation. Our experience began with an awkward host who refused to initiate conversation but instead seemed determine to wait us out. We did get seated at any rate and ordered two appetizers and drinks. The drinks are typically Downtown Denver overpriced, but were good. The appetizers were also great. Unfortunately, the entrees were not. We ordered one special menu item, Steak Frites, and received a well done steak when we ordered medium; we also ordered their featured truffle pizza, which was woefully undercooked. During the whole experience the server seemed awfully busy and any request took about four times as long as it should have normally. Overall disappointed.

I was sad when I heard they closed down service for breakfast throughout the week; however, I am delighted they re-structured and stayed open rather than simply closing. The food is always outstanding, the servers are fabulous and I love the retro feel. If you think you hate brussel sprouts, try them here...it just might change your mind because they are AMAZING!

This was my second time here. The first time it took so long for our meal to come out they gave us our meal completely free. I thought that was great, it made me want to go back. The food was okay for the price. My experience was almost identical the second time. The food took so long to come out I thought maybe they forgot us. We were upstairs all by ourselves. The food was just okay. No free meal this time, not even an apology.

The food was very good. We started with chicken potstickers and Mac n cheese, all good. I had the trio of tacos, 1 butter lobster taco, 1 pork belly taco, 1 steak. All the tacos were great, especially the lobster and pork belly. My husband had a truffle burger and said it was delicious. Our server on the other hand never refilled our beverages, never brought the cucumber cooler I ordered, didn't check on us, brought us the wrong bill and then we had to wait another 10 min for him to come back so we could tell him it was incorrect. The food was good so I would try it again if I was in the area but if the service was bad again I wouldn't come back.

We were a party of 6 and they sat us at a booth clearly built for 4. We were offered one extra chair but had to go find ourselves a second to fit. The food was pretty good although the lack of gluten free variations was a little disappointing. The waitress didn't have any suggestions on dishes that could be adjusted to accommodate it. Overall the place looks cool. The food is good. Would recomend it more for happy hour or late night stop than for a nice dinner.

The food was decent, however the music was terrible, loud, and kept cycling on and off. It was as if they had satellite radio and couldn't get any reception. The bar was plenty loud and energetic without the radio, it would have been so much better if they had just turned the music off. It was disturbing and not necessary.

We both enjoyed our entrees and desserts. It was very busy, so the service was a little slow but they were very nice about it. The only thing I did not like was how close our table was to the diners next to us--I could hear their conversation as well as what my husband was saying, and I almost felt rude talking for fear of interrupting them. If we'd been seated in one of the booths, I would have enjoyed the evening entirely.

We don't live in Denver so are not familiar with all the hot spots. We were glad we found this on OpenTable! A very fun vibe with great wings, and really good mac & cheese. We also shared a cheese flat bread pizza that was very good. It's a busy place so service was a bit slow but we never felt rushed even though there was a good number of people waiting to be seated. Great prices on top of everything else.

Went her with my fiance's parents and although the food was great, the noise level was very high. Not sure if the first floor is any different but we were on the second floor balcony. The loud music combined with the restaurant shouting at each other just to hear made it impossible to have a conversation with anyone but the person next to me. On a positive note, our whole party agreed that the food was very good.

Each time we go it's a little bit worse - I think we are going to stop going. The menu keeps getting smaller, the quality of the food keeps getting worse, and it's starting to feel more like a bar that serves food than a restaurant. This time the stacked enchiladas were smothered in a pesto that was overwhelming, the mac and cheese was really runny/watery and a mess to eat, and with the salad some of the greens were clearly rotten and had to be picked out. The service has declined quite a bit since they opened - our waiter was clearly inexperienced and too busy.

Tom's Urban was wonderful to accommodate us as we ate breakfast and had a meeting that ran for about 2 hours. Luckily the restaurant was not too busy this past Saturday morning. I appreciated the NO rush from the wait staff who came around at appropriate intervals to refill the coffee and the water glasses. I appreciated their consideration. Had they been busier - would have left to another venue but this was fabulous for us and I appreciated their indulgence. My thanks to Tom's Urban manager and staff.

Have been three times; before an Avs game, after a Rockies game, then again before the Manchester United game. First time was good, proceeding times mildly disappointing. It wasn't bad, just nothing standout. Your best bet is definitely the 'comfort food' type items. My daughter and I made the mistake of ordering salads...VERY basic, pretty bland. Husband had a breakfast burrito; again pretty routine. The 'slopper' and sliders are good; sweet potato fries yummy. Everything big proportions. Had high hopes, and keep trying, but nothing overly impressive yet.

Our food appeared quickly after ordering. My husband's meal was cold in the center. The manager dropped by to check on us, we explained that it was cold, even though my husband ate the whole plate( he liked it that much!). The manager took the entire amount of his meal off our check and offered us free dessertdas well. We loved the vibe and the menu, and especially the attention to our problem. Thank you, we'll be back!
