Diner Reviews
  • "Sunday evening 6:00 p.m. Tables full but our reservation honored. Live music, solo singer/guitarist. Had a couple of beers and ordered blackened fish tacos and Hawaiian butterfish. Three tacos were very filling and tasty, not blackened much and not very spicy. Fried plantains in lime sour cream were almost like dessert. Butterfish was very mild and cooked perfectly. On a bed of brown rice with mushrooms and a bit of mango salsa. Julienned carrots and baby bock choy and beurre blanc sauce. A bit sweet but not overpowering. No room for dessert Service was good; seated immediately, drink order taken quickly and served promptly, food served after a brief wait. All in all, a nice casual dinner, good food and service fairly priced."

  • "Took my daughter here for a 23rd Birthday Lunch. Tiffany was my waitress and she may have been the best and sweetest waitress I ever had. There was also some live music, a guy playing acoustic guitar which was cool. He sang my daughter a happy birthday song which the whole joint sang with him on. Pretty nice atmosphere. We had the scallop and pulled pork sliders as an appetizer which was really good. I had the lobster grilled cheese sandwich which was pretty freakin awesome. My daughter had the seared Ahi salad and my son went with the burger. Everything was pretty tasty. Our waitress surprised us with a birthday cake and even lit the candle for us. Nice touch Tiffany, thanks so much. Will go back again, no doubt!"

  • "I would consider this a Bar, not a restaurant. As a Bar, it had good food/service, rockin' music and our table had a view of the ocean. As a restaurant, way too loud and unsettling for me."

  • "I chose this restaurant after receiving a friends and family 25% discount. Ordered the blackened fish tacos and the brussel sprouts. Both were perfectly prepared and the portion size was decent."

  • "We are locals. We tried this location a few times after it first opened. This time everything was great. The grilled artichoke was tasty. I had a pasta dish with shrimp and Kale. Fantastic!!! My wife tried the roast beef sandwich with au jous and iit was good. Entertainment was pleasant and not over the top. Our waitperson did a good job."

  • "Each week there is a secret word, and if you tell the server, you'll get a special appetizer. Go to the Tommy Bahama Facebook page to find the word each week. The chefs at TB have created tasteful and appeasing dishes out of some very ordinary ideas. I suggest the Mahi Mahi with Asian cole slaw. Top it off with a Crazy Cuban and the Key Lime pie."

  • "Prices seemed high, but it is an expensive location across from Main Beach in Laguna. Tomato basil soup was very good, but portion was very small. Salmon was well cooked and spiced, presented on a nicely dressed bed of fresh greens. Good, but not remarkable. Multi-layer chocolate cake had possibilities, but was marred by presentation; served ice cold on a large white plate with crumbs and smudges of chocolate from sloppy plating. Tasty burger was cooked medium rare, as ordered & fries were crisp and hot. I think the stark almost cold ambience of the place was a turn-off. The floor is concrete or hardwood, the tables are unclothed slabs of thick wood. The only inviting thing is the well-weathered leather booths."

  • "We stop by TB's on a regular basis and the experience is always very good. The food, the service, and the ambiance are all great. Very relaxed, casual but upscale setting and crowd and the food is always excellent."

  • "This location of Tommy Bahamas is much more casual than the Newport location. The food at both is perfect, but different menu selections. The burgers are amazingly flavourful and the buns amazing also. The chicken tortilla soup was perfect and the salad had heirloom tomatoes with a lemon vinaigrette dressing. It was wonderful. Our reservation through Open Table worked great, many people turned away at the location because demand to eat there exceeds their seating capacity. Get a reservation if you want to sit in the back restaurant part. Otherwise you can seat first come at the high tops in the front and order off the full menu. They have a happy hour selection of appetizers. Great local live music."

  • "Great food, service and ambiance. Was a bit pricey, but with the $50 off coupon per $100, it was a perfect treat for our family of 4. The waitress, Brie, was a gem. She was willing to make suggestions when asked and not shy about giving her honest opinion. How refreshing."

  • "We make Tommy Bahama's a weekly outing...Whether it's Happy Hour time or eating off the dinner Menu... Either or. They serve to please & are open to changes. I'm more of a health nut so my orders are changed to my asking. We're a bar eating couple with or without friends & Charles, head bartender, is simply perfect. Charles is on top of service before you blink....He makes dining fun at the bar or just dropping in for a drink. :)"

  • "Do not go to this restUrant if you want to have any conversation which is a pity as the food is really good! The barman is exceptionally loud which is great for the bar scene I think but horrible for people trying to dine"
