Very good option for casual dining in Mountain Village. Very busy après ski/happy hour. If looking for fine dining experience with outstanding service this is not the place. If wanting good food/drink, very energetic atmosphere, lively bar scene, in slopeside location, this is the place for you. Also great option for lunch.

We went on a cold evening and were pleased with our experience. Our expectations were not high but all in all we thought the food was good, it was inexpensive and relatively quiet. We would go back.

We took a group on New Year's Eve. Mostly 20 year olds. We all had a wonderful time. The service was very attentive but not too much. The manager made sure that we got our table on time and even before. Love the place. Will go back often.

accomodating reception and wait staff. food was mediocre. For a newyears eve dinner it was pleasant but extremely crowded. More of an apres ski bar than one for ambiance and food.

We had a large group and they had a big table by the window that was perfect for us. Food and atmosphere were good and we had a lot of fun.

We went on a quiet evening - early with our children. The bar scene was just beginning. It's a laid back vibe typically of Telluride. The ambiance is very cool and rustic. There is a big inviting fireplace with several sofas and chairs where you can have a drink or a full meal. We go to TT every time we visit Telluride - highly recommend.

The location and decor are nice, the food is not great. My fish tasted like shake and bake out of a box! Our group of five was not impressed! The outdoor bar is fun and its location saves it. We had eated here this summer and loved it, this time, not so much!

The host (a young man) was very friendly, caring and helpful. The food was delicious, but make sure you order one of their house specialties if you want delicious. The fish was just so-so. The wait service was spotty; they were not attentive to say the least, even though there were just a few tables occupied. Pleasant atmosphere at the bottom of ski lift.

Tombay Tavern is currently not using the Open Table system. The waitress looked at me with a puzzled look when I told her we had a reservation and said they don't take reservations. As luck would have it they had an available table so we didnt have to wait and it worked out fine. The food was great and we would definately go back.
