We have dined at the Tomato Grill on a number of occasions - probably 12 or 15 times altogether. They have achieved that much sought after, elusive characteristic of dependability. We have never had a bad experience there. The food is first rate - try the Saltimbocca, prepared as with many of their dishes with either veal or chicken. The surroundings are pleasant, but it does tend to get a bit noisy. Their wine list is adequate. The prices are moderate.

This was the second or third time we've been here. We liked it more previous times. My wife liked her salmon, but my pasta in vodka sauce was just OK; it was just kind of blah. We had different salads: I had the greek and she had some sort of seasonal special, and they were large and generous, but both of them had tasteless salad dressing. As I said, it was disappointing.

The descriptions sound much better than the food actually is. The portions are large enough to share, which is nice. But the salad, while large, was virtually tasteless. The veal parmigiana was good sized but the marinara sauce was nothing special. Desserts looked good but did not indulge. Had to ask too many times for water refills and had to remind wait staff of drink order a couple of times

This is an up-scale Italian restaurant without the up-scale prices. The dinner entree's are creative and delicious. This is not just another chain spaghetti & meatballs joint. Our waiter was attentive without being overbearing. He seemed to anticipate our requests (for take-out boxes). The menu listed so many creative dishes that it was hard to decide......that's why we'll return for another adventure in dining! Highly recommended.

Reservation made 3-weeks prior for a group of 4 at 6:30 for a Sat. We arrived at 6:20 and were told there was a 20-minute wait. At 7:10, we were still waiting. It seems, we were waiting for a table and the guests had finished dessert, received the bill, and were spending talking. The hostess offered to set us at a high-top in the bar (which was packed). The noise level was tremendous and we had to raise our voices considerably to hear each other. The food was good and our waitress was accommodating. We were offered the usual free dessert for our inconvenience but this in no-way made up for the long-wait and loud, party noise of the bar. My wife and I drove 45-min to the restaurant. Our friends drove 25-min. Doubtful we'll return.

We usually love the Tomato Grill, but our last meal was so-so at best. The stuffed trout (which was supposed to be stuffed with spinach and goat cheese) had a measly 2 or 3 leafs of spinach, way too much goat cheese and no taste. The vegetables were all yellow in color with the exception of one tomato and one 2" piece of asparagus. Our server did not seem to care about how we liked or did not like our meals. If this had been my first meal at the Tomato Grill, it would be my last. Because we have had great experiences before and great servers, we will try again, but I am not anxious to go back.

We enjoy going to Tomato Grill in Hudson; the food is always good, the wait staff is friendly and knows their menu, the interior space is well designed and has a nice ambiance. But, they consistently always have a problem sitting us at a table within reasonable time of our reservation. We just waited 35 minutes for our table on Saturday night; the couple we were with had a similar problem a couple of years earlier and will not go back to Tomato Grill again. I have decided the hostess must be a family member....she has a bit of an attitude and has been there for awhile.

We have never had a bad dish here. This time, between the 3 of us, we had chicken parm, fried mozzarella, acorn squash bisque, baked lasagna, baked ravioli, and a side of gnocchi. Every year we eat some place in Hudson after one of the Art shows at Boston Mills. Tomato Grill was one of the choices on Open Table and we liked their menu so gave them a try. I had the Steak and Asparagus salad. They were very accommodating in allowing me to switch the Gorgonzola for the Goat Cheese. From the warm veggies to the succulently prepared steak, it was wonderful. My wife had a side salad that was huge, in comparison to other side salads and a very tasty vegetable pizza. We were treated very well and will definitely try them again. Side Note: To those who miss Heather's Heat at Legacy Village, there is one next door to them at their First & Main Location.
