Diner Reviews
  • "We dined here for Restaurant week to benefit Three Square. The menu looked appetizing, however it was not. Very disappointing. Will not be back!"

  • "This was our second trip to Vegas, and I was determined to visit a "chef-y" restaurant for my belated birthday dinner. Hostess was not particularly warm, but she was polite. The setting had a great balance of traditional steakhouse decor (wood & wine) with some contemporary architectural elements and an open kitchen. Our server and his myriad of assistants made us feel like royalty. His recommendations were spot on. The dry-aged pork will change your world, and the bone-in ribeye was spectacular, though I would recommend ordering the temp a little higher than you might otherwise. Such a special experience, the only thing that could have made it better was if Tom had showed up!!!"

  • "We enjoyed our meal and evening. We had a struggle in the beginning as there was a 6 ft sign at the entrance offering a 3 course meal. Our server did not offer it to us and corrected me when I asked if there was a special. He informed me that they did not offer a special. I pointed out the sign and he indicated that they had a house menu which he did not offer us. I had to ask again to see the "house menu". If its such a secret, why was the 6ft. sign displayed? I did not appreciate this at all. Also, I asked for my Mom's Birthday to be acknowledged which they did not do."

  • "Far better than expected. Steaks and the mushroom sides are amazing"

  • "We went at about 6:30 on a Wednesday, so it was not a heavy crowd yet. Service was pretty good. Water glasses were filled promptly and I felt the staff was attentive. On the the recommendation of the waiter we ordered the 28 oz Bone in Rib Eye (for 2). I am a steak guy and like to have the staff guide me so I can be pretty sure i am getting something I'll enjoy. I have eaten at plenty of upscale steak houses. This was not one of them, especially for the price. Maybe we were just unlucky but the steak was just ok and not at all what I was expecting given the price tag."

  • "Literally, one if the best meals we have ever eaten. We will definitely be going back! The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgable and we were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere as a lot of reviews complained about the noise level. We were in the back of the restaurant somewhat shielded from the casino and the gaming noise was never an issue. We will most definitely be recommending this restaurant to any one we know making the trip to Vegas."

  • "When I'm dropping $300 on dinner for two, I expect the event to be memorable. This one? Not so much. This place wouldn't crack my Top 10 of Best Steakhouses in Vegas."

  • "Highly recommend any beef entrees. Follow the servers recommendations on signature dishes. We had scallop ceviche and grill chard octopus appetizers. Scallops were recommended and incredibly prepared. Octopus was good, but couldn't compete with the ceviche. NY steak was prepared perfect and the lobster was really good. Side of mustard greens were not what you would expect (to die for actually). The service was impeccable with a personality and wit, not stuff. We generally believe celebrity chefs are overrated. Colicchio is not and appears to be working toward the Eric Rupert of beef in our opinion."

  • "Wonderful meal celebrating my sons college graduations with two of his friends. They all tried for the first time, steak tatare, faux gras, fried oysters, octopus and truly good wine. The staff was friendly and attentive. Best food experience of the year by far. And by the way the steaks were great, and we are all from Nebraska so trust me, we would know."

  • "The waiter was superb! He lets you know that the steaks are prepared the old fashioned way. Open wood fire grill. I found the taste to be very smokey/woody and almost tasting of lighter fluid...the way they did it in the old days. My husband loved it but I found it offputting. The bone marrow appetizer with the apple slaw and fennel was quite delicious. The location is under the dome in The Mirage so it echos every sound from the lobby and casino. This is not a quiet restaurant. It's okay but would not go back as there are far nicer steak houses in Vegas."

  • "In addition to the food, our waiter Troy was also great! Very knowledgeable and engaging. We asked his opinion on type of beer to order, starters, main course etc and all his recommendations were perfect! Best version of their "Caprese" that I have ever had with heirloom tomatoes and burrata....and the 32 oz steak? Oh my!!! Sides, desert...all so so wonderful! We are attending a conference here and have told everyone we meet about this fabulous restaurant."

  • "Food was amazing, filled with flavor and flair. Great service and atmosphere in the heart of the Mirage atrium but quiet considering the close proximity to the casino. Excellent service, but pricey so save for a special occasion."

  • "This place was recommended to us by a friend. It was a nice place but we probably wouldn't return. One of the steaks we chose had a seasoning on it that wasn't identifiable and the other one was very delicious. They were very busy. I wouldn't say it was bad but just not a place we would call a favorite especially for the price."

  • "Food was AMAZING...no complaints there. Staff was friendly & helpful. Only complaint was that tables were so close together that I felt part of conversation of tables on both sides of us...like one big group. Didn't like that. I like to have enough space that I feel my conversation is private."

  • "I have been to all of the top steak houses in Las Vegas and was really looking forward to eating here ever since I saw that Mr. Colicchio had opened the place. My steak was cooked properly, however the cut itself was far from what I would expect at any top steak house. My ribeye had connective tissue throughout which made it less than pleasant to eat. On the positive side, the wine list is very good, and the service was excellent. I don't know that I would return with all of the other steak options in Vegas however."

  • "Wild arugula salad was described as "goat cheese, citrus and candied pecans." I felt like I was sucking on a lemon; goat cheese absolutely no where to be found. Sent it back after asking for more of the "goat cheese" purée with the dish as there was nothing that could cut the overwhelming acidity of the dish. Filet was cooked medium plus when I ordered medium rare. My dates steak was cooked under... Almost like they switched our steaks on accident. We were switching our cut pieces of steak... Felt like my mom was feeding me when I was 6. Good steak, raw thyme sprinkled on too that I liked; my date did not. So disappointing when I've been dying to try Toms restaurant. Service was great tho."

  • "This was a great dining experience out with clients while in LV on business. The three of us shared the butter lettuce salad and grilled shrimp with yummy cocktal sauce to start. We usually avoid the bread. Yet, we were tempted by this warm lightly salted bread that was brought to the table. Yummy. Two of use split the filet and it was delicious, tender, & juicy. More than enough for two with the apps. The other meal enjoyed was brisket with a side of corn meal souffle. Side orders were grilled asparagus and fresh cut fries. Everyone enjoyed the meal and attentive service. We will go back on our next trip to Vegas."

  • "I brought my daughter and 4 of our relatives/friends to the Mirage for her 25th birthday. I had booked your restaurant online prior to our coming to Vegas. We came to the restaurant Sunday evening at 7pm for her birthday dinner and it was fantastic. The staff was amazing, the food was incredible and the ambience was perfect. We all tried different items off the menu and none of us were let down. My daughter and I are meat and potato girls, so she chose the 18oz rib eye and was kind enough to share. It was grilled to perfection and melted in your mouth. From the salad, to the sides, main courses and deserts, we were all impressed. I will definitely come again and will share this gem with others."

  • "I attended a birthday dinner, had excellent service and ambiance. Food though was mixed. Tomato Buffala salad was fresh while the Charred Octopus was under grilled and salty. $159 Japanese Wagyu Striploin was well prepared and truly an experience! Too bad the New York Strip was tough and the Spiced Lobster was overcooked, over spiced and inedible. Wine list was extensive but expensive. Beware the sommelier's recommendations. We ended with expresso that was long and so bitter it put a damper on the meal. It was an experience but not flawless as we would expect for the price and its reputation."

  • "Well, I really wanted to love it. The service was excellent the restaurant is beautiful but the food was so-so. We started with lamb appetizer, very fatty and a bit tough. The waiter said you have to like curry to enjoy this dish because the flavour is strong. No it wasn't. I ordered the brisket, it was very tender but, a bit bland. It was also served in a big square chunk which, if cut the wrong way, can get stringy. It was served with a very vinegary kale salad with whole dates. Didn't like that. It didn't seem to go very well with brisket. My husband ordered NY steak. Dry, over cooked and bland. Sent it back, ordered rib eye steak, like rubber. Onion rings, very greasy. I so wanted to love this restaurant. I didn't even like it."

  • "First time in Vegas. Looking forward to a name chef's restaurant. Great seat in the corner facing the restaurant. Allowed me to sit next to my love. Very romantic. Wine prices out of site, like most of Vegas. Had G&T's instead. Tasty kale salad we shared. Her salmon was perfect but small portion for price. My bone in ribeye was delicious, but should have been for $59. Service was very friendly and accommodating. Nice experience, but food not over the top like I was hoping for from Colicchio."

  • "Great food. Steaks were really good. Sides were surprisingly expensive. Starters and appetisers expensive too for their proportions. Onion rings were incredible. Overall a good experience, but we came away thinking it was not the best value for money. Service was very attentive and explained the menu content well, showing a good knowledge of the product."

  • "The combinations of ingredients for each menu item are cloth creative and classic at the same time. Everything was wonderful. I was so happy with the Fois Gras, especially being from California, where it has been banned. It was divine! Excellent service!!!"

  • "The food was outstanding! We had the bone marrow and apple slaw appetizer and the scallop ceviche to start. So good! Perfect balance of flavors! We had a group of 4 and share the main dishes. The beef brisket was my favorite. I would eat that dish every day! The filet was super delicious as well! I had the peanut butter semifredo for dessert. Perfection!! The drink were amazing too. Super happy with our meal and service at Heritage Steak!"

  • "The restaurant lives up to the prestige of Top Chef judge Tom Colicchio. The staff went above and beyond to make the night memorable. The food was probably the best meal we ever had. Everything was perfect."

  • "I recently ate here with my wife. She got the pork belly while I got the wagyu striploin, both of which were the best we've ever had. I could spend the entire review talking just about the steak - it was our first taste of wagyu, and we were absolutely blown away. For dessert, we shared three scoops of ice cream, all of which were excellent. Try the coconut if nothing else. We ate in the lounge area, which is just off of the casino floor. It's not too loud, there's no reservation required, and you get to do some people watching. There's also a dining room that's tucked behind the lounge if you prefer a quieter experience, but you might need a reservation for that. Overall great meal, we'll probably go back next time we're in Vegas."

  • "Service was very attentive, appetizers tasty and a nice assortment. Rib eye steaks were well seasoned and cooked to perfection! Sides of potatoes and mushrooms were very flavorful nice portions. Had the Blueberry pie with ice cream for dessert it was awesome! Nice ambiance we had a wonderful time we highly recommend!"

  • "The overall experience at the resturant was good. The only thing was when we got our food it was cold. Maybe it was left on the counter too long but when it got to us it was cold."

  • "The other reviews are spot on. If you have been to his other restaurant, Craftsteak, you would've wished you'd gone there. There is nothing special about this steakhouse and there are plenty of better options in Vegas."
    Dined on 7/20/2014
  • "This restaurant was great for it's service (very prompt) and food (mostly good). However, I found it strange that for such a classy restaurant and owner, Tom Colicchio, that while the male employees were dressed professionally (long sleeved shirts and ties with nice slacks), the women were not. The women looked like they belonged on the game room floor with dresses that barely covered their rear ends and cleavage busting out. I thought this was rather degrading to women and at odds with the feel of the rest of the restaurant. It cheapened the overall atmosphere for me. Mr Colicchio should know that it is possible for women to look attractive without being so exposed. Doubt I'll return."

  • "We hoped to visit Heritage during our 2013 visit to Vegas, but the grand opening kept getting delayed. We finally got to dine there in July of 2014 and it was well worth the wait! The staff was very pleasant and attentive without being pushy. They gave us plenty of time to make our decisions and savor each course of our dinner. Wonderful staff, unforgettable food!"

  • "Dinner was adequate, we shared the charred octopus and pork belly. The pork was under seasoned and had no crispness to it. The octopus was over cooked and subsequently mushy and over charred. My strip was not seasoned at all had to ask for S&P.... A little over cooked also. I was a little disappointed to pay $56 for a strip and it didn't even grade close to prime. Service was attentive, and executed well... the waiter was as attentive as he could be for having a 4 or 5 table section... Just not what I would have hoped for on a $400 check for 4 without wine.... Not sure why they have to mark up the wine 7 - 8 x either.... Would have enjoyed a bottle had it not been marked up to that degree."

  • "We have been to tom's craftsteak in connecticut. It is one of our favorite restaurants so we were excited when he opened heritage at the mirage. Unfortunately it did not live up to our expectations. Craftsteak is based in simply prepared food. Take great food and prepare it perfectly and let the food do the talking. I think at heritage they diverted from this concept. While the beef is still tender and cooked perfectly the flavor is off. I'm not sure why but it was dissapointing and not what we expect from tom colicchio. On the upside the service was perfect and the ambience was very nice. We would not go back but will be goon to craftsteak again for sure"
