  • "Fabulous service! It was like being in Italy where the service professionals are tops in the world."

  • "Spent our child's 25th Birthday at The Bistro. Every dish but one, the Lamb, was superlative. Lamb was cooked perfectly but without the flavor we have come to expect from Bistro.. Service was outstanding! Gordon you were awesome!!!"

  • "We returned to Todd's for my wife's birthday and we're not disappointed. Except for the loud bar during Happy Hour ( which ended at 7:00 PM and quieted down after that) we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The coconut calamari was a hit and the oysters were fresh and tasty. My wife's salmon was "some of the best" she ever had and my daughters duck dish was superb. The roasted beets side dish was outstanding and don't miss the truffle fries!!! Our server recommended an excellent Chardonnay ( J Zvineyards ) so we had two bottles!! The coconut layer cake with the birthday candle topped it all off. Thank you Todd Jurich's for a wonderful dining experience."

  • "Todd Jurich's always impresses. I love to take out-of-town guests here. I know I can count on exceptional ambience, service and food. My last visit was with my wife for dinner and a show. The experience was wonderful. I highly recommend Todd Jurich's."

  • "I was luck to be able to book an early Valentine's Day dinner here at the last minute. This is a wonderful restaurant in the heart of Norfolk and very popular. Love the decor and ambiance, the service was attentive and not overbearing. Very accommodating with special requests and knowledge of the menu/wine list. The dinner was a special menu but with enough variety to cover all the bases. We had an amazing three course dinner. Lamb was cooked perfectly and pleased my husband/chef (something not easy to do) and my rockfish was divine -- lovely presentation. Pricey but given the quality of service and meal, certainly worth it."

  • "Our visit was during the valentine wknd which meant a pre-fixe menu. It was ample. We enjoyed every dish. Everything was fresh, flavorful and prepared perfectly. This was a wonderful dining experience. We'll certainly return."

  • "Todd Jurich's was the perfect place to celebrate Valentine's day. Food was excellent; they gave us the best corner table, and were very personal.. The waiter and Little Todd helped our night special!! I have been to a place quite like this in Norfolk, and recommend it.."

  • "Significant other and myself ventured out for Valentines Day to Todd Jurich's. What a delightful restaurant. Great place to spend the romantic evening or a night on the town."

  • "After living in DC for 15 years, finding quality restaurants in the area has been difficult. Jurich's has come closest to fitting the bill. Great food, decent ambiance and service. Makes me feel less like I live in the sticks. Yea!"

  • "I've been here several times. This time we went for Valentines Day. They had a great menu but the portions weren't worth the price. Service was slow also. They ran out of at least 3 items on the menu. No calamari. No scallops. And no duck fat fries. Who runs out of fries??"

  • "I had just left 219 Bistro after being treated terribly, and the lady that sat me along with the man that served me were amazing."

  • "Nice place for a romantic dinner, but noise from bar was distracting."

  • "Dined here while traveling for business in Norfolk. Brought a party of 6, table was ready for us, drinks were healthy pours and the food was outstanding. I had the flounder with crab which was delicate and tasty. The coconut calamari was shared and very light and flavorful. A dining partner had the skirt steak which was perfectly cooked and tender. Highly recommend the bread pudding. Service was very attentive. Dine here if you are in Norfolk area."

  • "Food and service were fantastic. We weren't expecting an extraordinary evening and because of that, it turned out to be great. Remember your server has usually 4-5 tables, so make sure you treat them with respect and kindness and I guarantee they will make sure your dinning experience is what they would like themselves. Be that crabby annoying couple in the corner and yes you will get treated like ...."

  • "We were fans of TJ's and were looking so forward to dining there during Norfolk's Restaurant Week but were so disappointed by the portion sizes, the quality of the food and all of the up charges on the Prix Fix menu. Fishy tasting fish, under seasoned scallops and undercooked, bland lamb chops. Not to mention that several folks around us were sending dishes back to the kitchen left and right. The wine was the best part of the meal. Sadly, I am not sure we will go back."

  • "Todd Jurich's is our go-to restaurant for special occasions like anniversaries and birthdays, and of course we love seeing what's on the menu for restaurant week. The staff is unfailing gracious, they have a great bar and wine cellar, and we love their food. My favorites are the crab and pumpkin bisque and the bread pudding, but I also don't mind experimenting."

  • "Been to this restaurant before, always been excellent. This time, not so much. The two men in our group ordered the beef sirloin. Could there not have been one more slice of meat on the plate?! My friend and I had the salmon with roasted root vegetables. The salmon could have been cooked a bit more - my friend had to send hers back. The butternut squash bisque with crabmeat was very good, as was the bread pudding. The pineapple upside down cake was dry; not even the dollop of cream cheese frosting helped much. The couple who came with us had never been to the restaurant before - I doubt they'll go back."

  • "Met for Restaurant Week lunch at Todd Jurich's on 20 January 2014. Everything was just 'good' and we really didn't expect too much more considering it was Restaurant Week. Fantastic location for a downtown lunch and dinner. I love going to Todd's for Happy Hour however. Thank you Todd Jurich's."

  • "Food is tasty. The service proved spotty. You pay for bread. Beware, if you buy wine by the glass. If you get 5 oz, you are lucky. Bring your friend's credit card. Small portions for what you pay. I wouldnt be surprised if they will not buy smaller plates to make the portions look larger."

  • "A friend and I went to TJB for Restaurant week, something we've done before...and have always had a fantastic meal. This time however, the food was not as good as it usually is and overall we were disappointed with the food. The atmosphere and service were great as usual, but we were disappointed with most of the meal. With so many other great restaurants in Norfolk, I don't know that TJB will be a go-to anymore."

  • "We went there for restaurant week. Very crowded but the food came out fast and hot and great service. I would go back for sure. The calamari was very good. Duck wasnt great but other food was good. We will return."

  • "With an interesting menu and plenty of options for personal tweaking (with an UP charge), restaurant week at Todd Jurich's is a real treat! They are very accommodating and friendly with a knowledgeable staff of "real" people with a pleasant sense of humor that adds to the experience. Our only disappointment came at dessert when the Pot De Crème had a less than desirable texture, though the flavor was good- possibly just an off batch........ The bread pudding was definitely the winner!"

  • "Went there for restaurant week lunch only find out the salmon dish listed was no longer available. The chicken & dumpling with broth alternative was good but was not served with a spoon. Still TJs is a great Norfolk dining establishment."

  • "My friends and I were there for restaurant week so granted I didn't see the main menu but there was not one vegetarian entree on the menu (2 out of 8 of us are veg). They did have mixed root vegetables over Quinoa or Pasta that they could "put together for us". We ordered that and it was just OK so we were a little disappointed. They were also out of the first 2 bottles of wine we ordered (on the under $60 per bottle side) but did offer a slightly more expensive bottle at a discounted rate."

  • "We went on a Tuesday night so it wasn't crowded at all. Our waiter provided exceptional service. The pumpkin and crab soup was to die for! Everything was good. I was a little put off by what I'm assuming was the manager. The entire time we were there I watched him say hello to every table & even checked back to see if they were enjoying their meal. He never once spoke a word to my husband and I until we left and he was by the door and thanked us for coming. I was the only person of color in the restaurant. I've never made a claim like that, but it just made me ponder. Even if race had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with and I believe that to be true in this case, it's amazing how the perception of being ignored played into my entire experience."

  • "We spent part of a three day weekend in Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Williamsburg, VA and had a great Saturday night dinner here. We had a young man who was a delightful server. The first two courses- a Fou Gras, oyster stew and another seafood soup that were outstanding as good as we have had anywhere. Wines by the glass were excellent and cosmo was also perfectly made. We would return here if we return to this area."

  • "We have dined here for our anniversary several times and the food has always been fabulous. Worth the drive if you are not local! However, check your bill before you leave to ensure that your server has charged your table correctly. Will still go back and will always recommend. One of our favorite places!!!"

  • "Smallish portions but very well prepared. Best duck ever. Scottish Salmon was tasty and the roasted oyster starter was on the mark. Friendly, demonstrative staff."

  • "We have tried The Bistro for drinks before but this was our first dining experience. We went with another couple for dinner, and from the time we entered the establishment until we exited, the experience was fabulous. The staff was inviting and engaging, the food was very well prepared and presented to us, as well as the cocktails. I would highly recommend this restaurant to our family and friends."

  • "Todd Jurich's is always ranked as one of Norfolk's top restaurants. The menu reflects creativity in the kitchen, providing a break from traditional restaurant fare without being so avant garde that you don't know what they might be serving. The roasted oyster appetizer was outstanding, but I wish that it was served with six rather than five oysters to facilitate sharing for two. The seared tuna appetizer was also delicious although it was paired with a too-sweet apple chutney. Loved the monkfish and truffle agnolotti. The greens with bacon side needed another hour on the stove to soften them."

  • "The food was very good (as it always is) and beautifully presented and overall the experience was wonderful. However, the restaurant was overbooked and we had to stand at the entrance waiting for our table for about 30 minutes, despite having reservations. Overall the staff was wonderful, but our particular waiter was not very responsive and did not check on our table very frequently. Other wait staff came over though and checked on the table and made up for the subpar service from our waiter."

  • "We were a party of 4 celebrating the holidays. We heard about Todd J Bistro and was very pleased with our visit. The service was excellent. I do not recall her name but she works at a local hospital. I remember she stated she had worked there for a couple of years. While 3 of the entress were well received my one guest who ordered the monkfish commented the food could have been warmer. Not a big deal since we all "cleaned our plates." Everything was first class!"

  • "Our party of 8 each were raving about our dining experience. The flavors for all the starters and entrees we each ordered were prepared so well with great thought to how each of the sauces and side dishes complimented one another. We love the seasonal and unique menu. I personally had the venison and it was outstanding. The desserts were also a great surprise and full of texture and flavor, this was a wonderful place to have our holiday business dinner. Our out of town guests were very impressed. We have already began to recommend this resturant and will make plans to revisit in the near future."
