The menu items--largely upscale CA-cuisine bar bites--were fine and well-prepared, just not anything we hadn't seen before. We were even joking (before we were told the dessert options) about what the most stereotypical dessert items would be, and indeed we correctly guessed that a warm/flourless chocolate cake would be one of them. So if you're new to the area and haven't already had ten different versions of pate, arugula salad, olives, and so forth, or if you just want an evening of outdoor dining, it's worth checking out.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMOrganic with gluten gree options!We went to Toast for a special dinner and our experience was excellent! The only downside, if you are looking for a romantic time, is that it was pretty loud (we were there at 7:30 on a Tuesday) and most of the tables are pretty close together. If you would like some more privacy, request a table against the wall.
But the food, drinks and service were all top notch. The food is mostly organic and all from scratch, and you can feel it! After a full meal of drinks, apps, entrees and dessert, we felt amazing and not bloated ;) And our server was attentive and always there when we needed her but not hovering at all.
Overall, highly recommended! And oh, I almost forgot, they offer Mariposa gluten free bread for their sandwiches - YUM!4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWe've eaten here several timesWe've eaten here several times and have always had great service. This time, after the waiter brought us our appetizers and cocktails, we enjoyed that course, but then sat with empty plates and glasses for over 30 minutes before he stopped by to even take our dinner order. When he did, I asked if I could see the wine list again, as I wanted to order something different with dinner. He never brought the list, and I had to ask the food runner for it when he brought my soup course.

Megan our server also played a key role in guiding us through a very nice evening of dining. The pork meatballs and asparagus with lentil salad both had nice kicks in their sauces which gave each dish a nice surprise finish.
