i used to live in Philly and always go to Tinto for weekday dinners and took my friends and co-workers there for great food and service. so this time when I came back to Philly I made it first choice to take my co-workers there. We were sent to a table downstairs which can be good if you have kids with you but being tucked away in a basement corner is not that pleasant to begin with. The server was relatively quick in bringing water and wine list, but once we placed order, he didn't seem to be interested in coming down again, we waited a long time for the first course with a few light dishes and it took forever to finally see the 2nd batches of food to come.... we had 6 people and basically didn't get to eat until a well into an hour after we sit down.... very unpleasant this time! not because of the food but poor service.

Our fifth visit (but first in two years) reminded us that Tinto never fails to deliver creative and quality food, plated in the most appetizing manner and delivered with impeccable service. Our favorite plates of the evening were the pork belly and the lamb wrapped in bacon. The almond ganache for dessert was outstanding. We look forward to our next visit.

We had a decent meal, both in terms of food as well as service once we were seated. But we had to wait nearly 25 minutes for a table despite having a confirmed reservation. It wouldn't be so bad, had the waiting area in the bar been not so cramped and busy. Further, the restaurant management made no effort to make up for this delay, no complimentary drinks, apps, nothing but verbal sorry. To add insult to injury, the groups of 4 waiting next to us (we were 2) were offered cheese and meat platters!! You don't expect this attitude from an upscale establishment as this!!

It is rare that I write a review, but this place was so good (and a reat value) I had to give words of praise. The food is outstanding, the atmosphere is bistro-like with simple yet pleasant decor. A bit on the noisy side since it is so busy, but not so much to negatively impact the experience. Excellent tapas!

Absolutely the best dining experience we have had in a long time. Highly recommended! We had chef selection and wine pairing every little bite was scrumptious each taste tapas better then the last. Dessert yummy. My husband does t like chocolate so no problem to try something else off the menu. Our waiter a very nice person excellent service ask for Vlad!! You won't be disappointed. Pricey but for a great all around experience I would do it again and will. One bad thing I lost an earring maybe at dinner maybe at the show that's all. I can't say enough about this experience you will love it!!

My wife and and I have been to Spain a number of times, so I was a little worried that the food here might not be as authentic as advertised. I was never so happy to be wrong. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. We got a lower end wine (still $48) and it was very, very good. We also did the chef's tasting (the classic) and the food was outrageous. The portions were small but by the time we were done we were stuffed to the brim. A word of advice - don't be afraid to try something different. A dish that you may never try anywhere else may just be the best thing on the menu at Tinto. I will definitely be back for seconds!

Sharing the plates was a fun way to taste lots of different dishes. The sangria was less interesting. Next time I will order from the wine list.

Cheese and charcuterie good as well as mini skewers but all else bland, overcooked and literally just thrown on our table with no explanation. The paella rice was dry and crunchy.
