Tino's Italian BistroBeen there--done that and Love it !I have been here a number of times and it is a very comfortable local restaurant which focuses on tasty Italian food items and gives you the flexibility to add or subtract to meet your personal taste. Servers know the menu and are very friendly and helpful. It seems to me that the whole staff is well trained as they execute with great coordination. Wine list while not elaborate has some basic very good wines at prices families can afford. Couple of the entries are favorites of mine so I am always pleased when I order. The reservations we made were definitely necessary. The noise level was initially high, but settled down after a boisterous group left. The service was very attentive. The food was very skillfully done, not imaginative (although the use of Old Bay seasoning in a Northern Italian cream sauce was novel), and the wine list was moderately priced, and extensive. When the new ownership took over they remodeled the space to create virtually two separate places with an open large room along with a romantic wine bar setting. The wine bar is beautifully designed with perfect lighting and is protected from the noise of the large room. Speaking to your company is easy and comfortable. The very first time we went to this place we knew it was special. We were impressed by the menu and the service of the staff. Any restaurant can look good but if the food and service are bad it will not matter. This is not the case with Tino's. My wife and I are on first name basis with the bar area staff as that is where we always choose to dine.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMA Saturday night is alwaysA Saturday night is always difficult for a restaurant, but the staff was up to the demands. We had a group of 6, so we were seated in a booth. Between us, we had a variety of wine & mixed drinks, & the bar did a great job, & prices were reasonable. All the entrees were excellent, portions were more than adequate, & prices fair. My only quibble was that the side Caesar salad needed more dressing.
There is a lot to choose from on the menu, & substitutions were no problem. I may try the pizza the next time. There are lots of sauce and add on choices making it easy to find something to love. Can vouch for the house dressing on the salad - yum. It's our 3rd or 4th time back since it's in our backyard. Wonderful pasta dishes (frutti de mare) that are not heavy or salty. Just right portions. We were seated right away, the waiter was informative and patient with my husband who couldn't decide what to get b/c everything sounded so good. I ordered the special with grilled chicken, shrimp and asparagus and enjoyed every bite.
