Tin Roof BistroGreat Salads!Amazing salads and pizzas. Great wine list and cocktails. Service is usually good and the restaurant is very kid friendly.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good food, too noisyOutstanding food, well prepared, served by smart, attentive wait staff. The drinks are just a bit skimpy and the noise level is beyond loud. I guess its what's cool for the young folks, but if you want to have a decent conversation, have it before you go inside the restaurant. Outside, all good!6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMnoisy but really good foodThe three of us felt we had to almost shout to be heard; however, we either got used to it or the competing sounds moderated thru the course of the meal. The cocktails are unique and worth it. Two of three entrees were excellent. The third, pork chops, were somewhat dry. All of the vegetables were perfect and interesting. Adding walnut to pureed squash is genius. Despite the sound level, we would return.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMTinRoof BistroI was quite surprised at the comfortable ambience. We had the meatloaf meal which was excellent and very reasonably priced. The brussel sprout appetizer was amazing - could go there for just that and a drink and I'd be happy. Looking forward to trying some other dishes.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMLove the food and service.Love the food and service. Only thing is noisy, hard to hear conversation.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a great time celebratingWe had a great time celebrating my birthday. We had the Cesar salad, which was excellent, and the fried chicken for 2
So yummy and really a treat. Can't wait to bring our friends there who don't live in the area. Also, our dog enjoyed the patio
Thank you for being doggie friendly.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMA Consistent GemLunch in the patio is a bit of heaven! Lovely ambiance and away from the high noise level inside.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMNoisy but great placeThe whole Branzino fish is fantastic... Be sure to have little Raul de-bone it.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThought it was very nice.Thought it was very nice. We opted to sit out side, in the front of the restruant as it was very loud inside. Nice table, subdued music and easy to talk. Only complaint would be that the bocce ball area for the kids was really loud when the ball hit the wooden plank at the end. I might suggest that they put a rubber piece at the end so that the balls don't smack up against the wood and make a lot of noise, otherwise it was lovely.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Tin Roof Bistro is a go-toThe Tin Roof Bistro is a go-to when we want great food that is not run-of-the-mill. The pizzas are one of my favorite. And who would have thought that brussel sprouts could be so darn decadent. I wish it was easier to get a table for 6 or more with a reservation. We would go more often.
Thanks5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMNever Disappoints! This restaurant is consistently fantastic! The menu, the wait staff and ambiance are always wonderful! Make reservations!5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat PizzaThis was our first time dining here. My husband had the rotisserie chicken, a friend had Scottish salmon with wasabi mashed potatoes, and I had the "MSG" wood-fired pizza--mushrooms, sausage, and garlic. It was one of the best pizzas I've ever tried. The crust was thin and delicious, the sauce was flavorful, and the other ingredients combined to make a wonderful dish. We also had a very good mixed greens salad with what I recall being a lemon vinaigrette. It was very fresh and flavorful. I would definitely return and recommend this place to others. In fact, I already have recommended it to co-workers. They have a nice-looking happy hour that I'd like to try--$2 off pizzas and salads, as well as drink specials.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent ServiceTuscan Salad was amazing. Lamb Bolognese was good but not great, a little bland. Our service was over the top from the gentleman who greeted us at the host stand to our server. The ginger blueberry dessert was delicious. I would go back just for that. Great bar scene and kid friendly. I would definitely return.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the best restaurantsOne of the best restaurants in Manhattan Beach. Food is always very good and service to match. Eat there often!5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved itThis was my first time here. Absolutely loved it and will be returning. Our waitress was awesome! Probably the best service I had at a restaurant. We ordered the brussel sprouts appetizer. They were delicious. When I mentioned I wanted to try and make it at home, the waitress got me a copy of the recipe.
All of the food was delicious. The drinks were yummy. I will definitely be returning.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I had a wonderfulMy husband and I had a wonderful lunch in the courtyard. We really enjoyed being outside with such a pleasant breeze. The service was okay; when we asked for a couple more minutes to look at the menu, he gave us almost 10 minutes, which was a little too much. When we asked for the check, we had to wait another 5-10 minutes.
The beef panini was okay; something was missing in the flavor. However, the pizza was delicious. We had a relaxing time though the tables were a tad bit too close to each other. Otherwise, this was a very pleasant dining experience.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMManhattan Village Gem!Tin Roof always serves up good food and their wait staff are always polite and efficient. We eat here a lot at both lunch and dinner time.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother great meal at Tin Roof! They handled the crowd for Mother's Day like champs. Our server was attentive and patient with our 2 kids and the food was excellent as always.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGood Spot for Mothers' DayOur group of 7 included 2 toddlers, and everyone was made to feel welcome. We sat on the patio, and service was attentive and helpful. There was a special Brunch menu, but the choices were excellent. The shrimp Benedict was quite good, the short rib hash outstanding, and the French toast bread pudding well worth it (although not quite as good as the other choices. The babies were quite happy with their eggs and bacon from the kids' buffet, along with the fruit. First courses included an excellent goat cheese crostini, which we were told is locally sourced, and most of us had and loved. One had tomato bisque, which he seemed to enjoy. Even on a notoriously difficult restaurant day, Tin Roof Bistro came through!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMmothers day lunchWe got a great booth to sit on.except they kept putting all these chairs around us. The waiter didnt state her name until we asked her. She just wasnt inviting, we had to energize her. The food took long time to arrive but was decent when it arived. They woulnt serve alcohol to us, we were given chips to go to bar ourselfs on the other side of the restauraunt. The good thing we didnt feel rushed. Neat spot for its location, inside manhattan beach village.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMTerrificWe couldn't have had a nicer dining experience. The service was impeccable. The food delicious. The restaurant accommodating.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFavorite for nice outdoor diningFood and service are always great! We enjoy very much the outdoor dining, which is very nice. Late lunch is our favorite time..less children and easier to get a seat. We love the spicy tuna rolls with the wasabi sauce..fantastic!!
In all one of the better dining experiences in the area.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMCheck out the lighting fixturesCheck out the lighting fixtures - not just the tin roof! Desert menu a little sparse, but good. We had the short ribs, fish and lasagne. All terrific! And of course, the brussell sprouts ... excellent!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMA "little" disappointedWe ordered the brussels sprout appetizer and for the first time I was disappointed. They were quite oily. I LOVED the pizza...it's just about the best pizza around! I WILL order the brussels sprouts in the future because they have ALWAYS been the highlight of my meal at The Tin Roof.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious dinnerMy raves are the same as for all my previous visits! OUTSTANDING from every aspect! I'm sure we'll be back soon!5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMpopular eateryVery busy restaurant; reservations suggested. A bit too noisy for my taste. Food is good despite the large number of patrons. Prices moderate. Not a place I would rush to come back to.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat wine! This is a terrific place to meet with friends over small plates and drinks. The entrees are good too, but I prefer sharing so you can taste many different flavors. The smartest thing this place does is that the desserts are only $4 and are small, yet decadent. Who wouldn't want to order one, even in body-conscious Manhattan Beach?5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMfirst time dinerWE were so suprised to find this gem...we meet friends often who come from LA and we come from OC...great place to meet...don't let the shopping center setting fool you with lots of chain restaurants...this one is different...very good food, ambiance, and service. We
will go again.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMBrussel Sprouts burnt not carmelizeWe we surprised that the brussel sprouts were not as good as people said they were. People on yelp raved about them. My husband and I felt they were burnt and not carmelized. They were very tart from the lemon but the burnt taste just took over.
Pizza was good, atmosphere on the patio was wonderful.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Brussel SproutsSprouts are wonderful and unusual. Arugala foldover pizza was good too.
