Second best salmon dish we ever ate ,the first being in Alaska.
On the whole good fresh food but you do pay the price for it . NOT a place for romance set the mood dining, valet parking a joke in such a small shopping center, who valet parks at sports bar ? It's like making a silk purse out of a cows ear, this is not a supper club! I had the crab cakes, which were great. My husband enjoyed the green salad. I had the Caesar salad. Both salads were quite big. My Ceasar was very good - crisp and flavorful. My husband LOVED his catfish. He had it blackened with mashed potatoes and olives. The shrimp and grits was a good meal here, but not great. It had a lot of ham and was sweet, yet a bit spicy. We selected the flourless chocolate cake, fruit cobbler, and cheesecake (dessert trio). The sweet and tangy fruit cobbler was strawberry rhubarb that night. The crumble was soft and buttery. The flourless chocolate cake was absolutely delicious. It was light and flavorful without being to rich. Great for oyster lovers. My fried shrimp were great but they killed thew fries by placing the shrimp atop the frites. We're not usually seafood lovers, but were excited to try it after reading the online reviews. Tin Fish did not disappoint. It was fairly easy to find, and the complimentary valet was very nice (given its location in a strip mall, parking is at a premium. I was expecting a bit more upscale interior, but the ambiance was very warm and inviting. Our server was excellent, and my wife really enjoy his suggestion of the blackened whitefish. The portions were ample (the salad could easily have been shared by two), the presentation was gorgeous and the food was delicious. What a wonderful recommendation. The food was excellent and the Pastry Chef is fantastic. But I would be remiss if I did not highly praise our waiter Robert S. who told us about the special menu for the day in great detail. His suggestions were great and beyond our expectations. We were so pleased that we made reservations and went back the next night and enjoyed a new special menu and the wonderful food. I was very pleased with the selection and quality of the food as so many suburban places get a bad rep for the quality of seafood. My boyfriend had the triple lobster tail and I had to persuade him to share! I had the special of bay scallops in a lemon butter scallops and they were amazing! So fresh and so sweet!
