A modern version of the 1940 seafood houses of the Atlantic shore, Tin Fish brings a family friendly sophisticated dinner house to the south suburbs of Chicago. Quality is always our first priority; all of our seafood is flown it in six days a week, always carefully inspected and only the highest quality is accepted. Menus are created daily with seasonal offerings from land and sea emphasizing seasonal ingredients for their superior taste and freshness.   • "While me & my wife only had the buffalo shrimp, I can tell by the preparation that most of the menu is prepared with great care. My server was EXCELLENT & VERY ATTENTIVE but not annoying. The atmosphere was good but not distracting. Overall Tin Fish is a place I would highly recommend."

  • "The service was excellent. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped us make a decision about what to get. Also every time we were finished with our plates, be it the app., soup or salad dishes, someone was there to get them out of our way immediately. They were also there to refill our drinks before they were all the way finished. Therefore the service was excellent. The food was delectable. I had Maine lobster tail and shrimp in a creamy red sauce over pasta. My wife had a filet mignon with a lobster tail and everything was succulent and not chewy like seafood is a lot of the time"

  • "This place is always top notch. Many places serve "sea food" on a busy menu but here they specialize in it and their specials are generally what's in season. We had a sea bass and a halibut steak, both very tasty. A decent wine list and desert menu to accompany your meal. And excellent service! Robert was our waiter as he has several time before. Good to see regulars on the wait staff, shows a little something for the business. Great time, great meal!"

  • "I a big foodie. The Tin Fish is a great restaurant for a nice occasion. It's a little pricey with smaller portions of food. The food is great but I think 26.99 for 4 Blackened Scallops is a bit high. They have really taken a hike in their prices over the years. Chicago prices in the South Suburbs. I would recommend this restaurant as the food is good. Just be prepared to spend some money."

Not even greeted by a waiter or able to order drinks after being seated for at least 10 - 15 minutes! Seated in room that must have been an add on to the original restaurant. Lacks any real ambiance. Should reserve that for families only since we spent time with a screaming child."

  • "This was my first time st Tin Fish. The shrimp cocktail was the best I've every had anywhere! My sister had baked clams also great. We ordered the steak and lobster and split a Caesar salad. The lobster was sweet and the steak was outstanding! Would definitely recommend and can't wait to go back! Also had there flour less chocolate cake for desert,"

  • "This was just a night out no occasion, table for 2. Had a Saturday 6:15 pm reservation arrived 5 minutes early and were seated right away. Would have to agree with a previous review, crab cake hot appetizer was cold, too bad it could of been really good blend of flavors, clam chowder was very good. My guest had the special, pasta with scallops,cooked perfectly, and lobster which was overcooked and tough the sauce however complemented the dish nicely. I had the fried shrimp with fries and cole slaw which was very good. Loved the service and ambiance. Overall would diffidently go back."

  • "Made a 7 pm reservation on a Saturday night, and by 7:25 were still third in line to be seated. No offer of a glass of wine at the bar, no real apologies, just a busy night and people staying longer than expected. When I said I was considering leaving (and that it was my birthday), the hostess consulted with the owner and seated us immediately -- next to a open two and four top, with one being cleaned behind us. Put a real pall on my night, which was not made much better by excellent table service and very good food, well-prepared, although I had a piece of shell in one of my oysters. The wine list by the glass is pedestrian and extraordinarily limited considering the good quality of the bottle list.."

  • "Went for lunch on a Saturday and it was surprisingly empty, considering the good value on the lunchtime selections. Excellent food and service. Our waitress was very attentive and informative. She had extensive knowledge of the menu and was able to thoroughly answer our questions about the preparation of the fish specials. She confirmed that a Hawaiian fish on the lunch specials menu was different from another Hawaiian fish I had tried at a prior visit. She even went back to the kitchen to confirm if the chef had the Hawaiian fish I had tried before (the chef didn't have it but the waitress made sure I was satisfied with the description of the fish before I ordered it). Would definitely recommend for lunch or a special occasion."

  • "We had not been to the Tin Fish in over eight years. Everything went smoothly from the beginning to the end. Reservation was for 6:00 pm and we we seated on time. Waiter was excellent. He was very attentive. I had the 11/4 pound crab legs. They were great. My wife had a fish special. She was very happy with it. Drinks were plentiful and on time. We split desert (waiter recommended). Thank you we will be back and it will not be another eight years."

  • "Had a great time with my wife out for a "date night". We had reservation and were seated very close to our time slot. The hostess gave us a heads up that even though we were there early we would not be seated early which was fine. Once we were seated we were taken care of immediately and were constantly attended to. They food was amazing, I had King crab legs and a filet, my wife had the Yellow Fin Tuna both were great. We also had the Buffalo Shrimp appetizer which was good for not being breaded. Support your local restaurants!! Be sure to make reservations ahead of time as it is a popular spot, and for good reason. (The valet parking was a great service as well)"

  • "We were visiting from out of town (St. Louis) and found Tin Fish on the Urban Spoon app. It was a short distance from the hotel where we were staying the night. We're glad we found it. We were lucky to book a reservation for two on Urban Spoon. The short wait for our table at the bar was no problem...and we very much enjoyed the wonderful meal. My wife and I each had one of the fish specials and thoroughly enjoyed them. If we are back in the Tinley Park area, we will make it a priority to go back."

  • "I don't have one negative thing to say about this restaurant. We got one of the last reservations (thanks Open Table) on Valentines Day night. We got sat at the exact reservation time even though it was packed. The waiter we had was very prompt and timely and not overbearing at all. He was very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. The drinks we ordered were made well and came to the table fast, Every food item we had from the appetizer to dessert was amazing. This restaurant was a great surprise and above everything else we never felt rushed. It was great food and romantic and you can't ask for more then that on Valentines!! I will definitely be coming back!!"

  • "Robert our waiter was once again so helpful about the selections and specials. He is honest about what is good and the flavors you would find in something new you might try. He is always right about the wine selections that will go best with what we are having. The decor is not like the Four Seasons, but who cares about that when the food and service is just that good! I don't like scallops as a rule, but Robert suggested I try there's because they are still in season and that nights selection were exceptional. He was not wrong. They were light, perfectly cooked, in a white lemon wine sauce that did not over power the taste of the dish. Best service and food you will find anywhere. Love it!"
