The food was different from the standard fare in the unique combination of many items. We enjoyed honeyed figs wrapped in bacon with goat cheese, butternut squash and fall vegetable pasta (wow!) and the paella . It's fresh and incredibly delicious!!!

This was not our first visit to Tin Angel. That is why it was an obvious choice to suggest to our larger group as a place to have a great meal. Well. Our meal was very good but our service was not. Something just wasn't clicking correctly. Long waits between everything from our first glass of water all the way through to dessert. It was disappointing and left us wanting more. It may be a bit before we suggest Tin Angel again....sad to say.

Our group of four all loved the entrees -- I had the Fall's Bounty pasta which was soooo good. The cobia was also wonderful and the classic paella did not disappoint. We also enjoyed the bacon wrapped figs with goat cheese. Everything was cooked perfectly -- including the pasta. We will definitely be back.

4 of us went there for my birthday and it was very good. my only complaints are the noise level; it was hard to have conversation (I think because it was so busy and such a small restaurant) and also the height of the table! I am 5'7" and my knees wouldn't fit under it. I had to sit uncomfortably with my them out to the side all night. My meal was FANTASTIC. I got 'everybody's favorite chicken' and it was absolutely amazing. every single bite was better than the last and I was so sad when it was over. overall great time

A great meal, seated immediately with our reservations. Food was excellent. We had the flounder and the filet. Appetizers were very special as well. Only thing that stopped from perfect was the entrees came out rather quickly after the appetizer. Other than that, superb!

I've eaten at Tin Angel a number of times, but Saturday night was a girls' night out special occasion. I had the shrimp and lobster risotto, and it was stunningly yummy! The shrimp and lobster was buttery and melted in my mouth, and the risotto was perfectly cooked...creamy with great texture. One of my friends had the filet of beef and she ate the entire plate (and she's usually extremely picky with a light appetite), and my other friend had the steak and frites (steak and fries). Her steak was a skirt steak and it was tough as nails and too chewy...the meat was well flavored and the fries and green beans were wonderful. I didn't take off too many points for the skirt steak because it's a cheap cut of meat! I'll go back for sure.

A trip to Nashville would not be complete without a meal at Tin Angel. An old friend of mine that I hadn't seen in years and I met there for lunch 10 years ago and I thought it was great and have been coming back ever since. Great food, service and atmosphere. I lived in Louisville for years which has many fine restaurants. Tin Angel compares favorably in every respect, a great value.

This restaurant and our waitress Amanda made our one night in Nashville amazing. We ordered the fixe prix menu and all three courses were absolutely delicious. First course mussels, second pasta with a melange of fresh vegetables in a sage brown butter sauce and third a chocolate Carmel tart. These items should be permanently on the menu. We can't wait to visit Nashville again to see what is new on their menu. also the brick walls and tin ceiling give this place a great warm welcome feeling.

The first plate was a crabcake appetizer. The 2 cakes were the diameter of a silver dollar and a 1/2 thick. I thought it was a joke when she brought it out. I would have been ok with 4 cakes being this small but it was not worth the $. I ordered and received a seared Beef tenderloin. Have you seen the commercials on TV making fun of really small portions? This entree was one of those. A full plate with a 2 1/2" long piece of meat stacked on 3 small potatoes and a few peices of mushroom. for 28$ entree it was a child portion. This is the first place my wife and I have been that we felt ripped off!! We were still hungry ! I love Nashville and reside here and this the only place in town we have experienced that. We are not big eaters either!

My boyfriend and I went for restaurant week. There was a wide variety of items on the price fixe menu for a reasonable price. All of the dishes were creative, but inviting, leaving for a delightful, incredibly delicious meal of both comfort foods with a twist as well as more impressive culinary endeavors. We chose different dishes and enjoyed taking bites of each others meals for a very diverse dining experience. We can't wait to go back and try more of what this Nashville Original Gem has to offer!

I went here with a group of 6 to celebrate my birthday and we were all extremely dissapointed with our service. Our waitress was absent, rude and not pleasant to deal with. It took her over 30 minutes to 'locate' their special menu for restaurant week. Granted our reservation was at 8:45PM and were starving by the time she actually helped. When asked to take a group picture she held her finger up and looked annoyed to be asked such a question. . Needless to say it was pretty obvious she didn't care due to the 18% gratuity already included. The food was great but that's about the only thing.

We chose The Tin Angel recently as part of Nashville Restaurant Week. I thought the prix fixe menu for the week was innovative (not what was on the regular menu) and all the courses together only came to $20.14 (for 2014, naturally), which was exceptionally reasonable, just as their customary menu is as well. The presentation, quality of ingredients and unique flavors of our dishes were nothing short of outstandeing! The atmosphere is lively yet not too loud to talk, and the lighting is low enough to provide a sense of intimacy despite all the tables being full around us. I can't say enough good things about our experience here. This restaurant has been around for many years, a real testament to owner Rick Bolsom and his fine staff.
