We had an early dinner on Sunday in order to make it to the theater downtown. Everything went perfectly. The waitress (Liz) was attentive to our every need and, knowing our time constraints, had the check ready when the last course arrived. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. We cook well and know good food. This evening was spot on. Thanks!

Something is off in this once excellent restaurant. The flounder was undercooked and mushy, the trout was OK but not stellar...too much vinegar in the greens. The fall menu is uninspired. The place is showing wear. Lighting too bright at some tables, bent railings not repaired. Used to be a fan. Not anymore.

Food was lack luster. The steak Diane was chewy and not great flavor in the Diane sauce. the service was great, but the food wasn't good for us at all. Flavorless! You know how first impressions go... We went down the street and sat at the bar at Stoney River and had a real steak. The clue should of been 22.00 dollars for steak Diane, you get what you pay for :-(

With a seasonal menu, there is always a great selection of new things to try. We have eaten here several times and always enjoyed it. Make a reservation on weekends, as it is a popular spot. Food is a bit on the pricey side, but you won't be disappointed.

We frequent Tin Angel because it has been consistently good. Tonight must have been an off night as the food was good but not up to the usual standards. It wasn't that busy so I'm not sure why. My chicken was a little dry and my wife's pasta was overcooked. Our friends dishes were nothing memorable. We'll just chalk this one up to one off night.

We made a reservation the day of, and were able to walk in and be seated right as we arrived. The service is always great, with all the wait staff helping each other by checking waters, etc. The food has always come out in a timely (not rushed or too long) manner. This is our 'special' place to go in Nashville and our recommendation to anyone wanting exceptional service, outstanding food, and an overall great experience.

This place has very consistent quality, a dependable creative menu that doesn't follow the latest fads, a warm dark quiet atmosphere, and friendly professional staff. It's also very fairly priced. The ratio of quality to price is very good.

Tin Angel is at the west end of West End Avenue and parking is sometimes interesting, but the food and the friendly service more than make up for its location. I usually don't like to write a review for a restaurant, but Tin Angel is most deserving. I live 40 minutes away and it's become my restaurant of choice in Nashville. I have never been disappointed in either the quality of the food or the service. I highly recommend this place.

Came to Nashville on a weekend that had a lot going on and reservations everywhere were scarce, but Tin Angel was able to accommodate us a bit later in the evening. After a lovely round of cocktails with two business colleagues, I enjoyed an absolutely delicious piece of salmon with a spicy sweet glaze, a side of not-too-sweet butternut squash risotto, and some frise dressed with a wonderful pistachio lemon vinaigrette. Desserts included pumpkin creme brule and a fruit crumble, followed by a nice single malt scotch. The hostess was friendly and service was excellent; the server also was very helpful in getting us a cab afterwards. I definitely would return for another meal here.

Love the intimate atmosphere and lovely ambience. The round fireplace in the bar area is perfect to take the chill off. The food was superb, service excellent with a wide range of menu choices for our mostly pescatarian group. Although we didn't order the prix fixe dinner selection it looked like a great option and would definitely try it next time. The pumpkin flan desert was unbelievable! From start to finish, a delightful experience.

This was not our first visit to Tin Angel. That is why it was an obvious choice to suggest to our larger group as a place to have a great meal. Well. Our meal was very good but our service was not. Something just wasn't clicking correctly. Long waits between everything from our first glass of water all the way through to dessert. It was disappointing and left us wanting more. It may be a bit before we suggest Tin Angel again....sad to say.

4 of us went there for my birthday and it was very good. my only complaints are the noise level; it was hard to have conversation (I think because it was so busy and such a small restaurant) and also the height of the table! I am 5'7" and my knees wouldn't fit under it. I had to sit uncomfortably with my them out to the side all night. My meal was FANTASTIC. I got 'everybody's favorite chicken' and it was absolutely amazing. every single bite was better than the last and I was so sad when it was over. overall great time
