Diner Reviews
  • "We were seated on time for our reservation. Our waitress was attentive, although she needed to watch drink levels. Food was outstanding."

  • "We've been going for years and yet they've recently closed for lunch and are only open for dinner. They are open on Sundays which we appreciate as many restaurants in our 'hood are not. They have innovative specials plus old favorites, vegetarian options too, we like to sit in the front room as the back one can get loud with the tin ceiling and brick walls"

  • "Our experience at Tin Angel was very pleasurable. My wife had the Potato Crusted Flounder and I had the Shrimp and Lobster Risotto. Both of our meals were cooked and seasoned tp perfection. We dined early, so crowds were not a problem, the restaurant had a nice ambience and character. We will dine there again and recommend to friends."

  • "We were in Nashville for just a few days. I chose this restaurant based on reviews online and it proved to be a good choice. The food was delicious. Our waitress was attentive and courteous."

  • "Delicious meal and attentive. but not intrusive .server that allowed us to visit and catch up with friends."

  • "As always, high expectations were satisfied. From warm greeting and prompt seating to dessert the food and service was exemplary. We can always count on Chef's creations that are not run of the mill standard fare. Delightful food and service is the standard at Tin Angel."

  • "We had another wonderful meal here. The problem? No lunch service anymore!!! There are so few great places like Tin Angel and the loss of lunch hours is being mourned by many like me who live and work in the West End area. Please reconsider!"
    Dined on 8/12/2014
  • "One person had the angel burger and enjoyed it. One person had the vegetable paella and raved about it and I had the lamb chops the mashed potatoes were to die for and the haricot verts were cooked perfectly. Did not care that much for the pistachio topping on the lamb"

  • "I return to the Tin Angel every year to celebrate my birthday dinner with longtime friends in Nashville, though I moved away 14 years ago. It is always a high point of my trip and a lovely event I look forward to every year."

  • "Exceptional service, nice decor, but high background noise. Maybe there's a quiet zone."

  • "This was our first time at Tin Angel and the food and service were both excellent! The food was delicious and served very quickly. The portions were filling without being overwhelming which allowed us to also enjoy one of their amazing desserts!"

  • "We arrived shortly after the downpour began and we greeted by two very pleasant hostesses and shown to our table. Our server, Amanda, was excellent. She walked us through the pix fixed menu, showed us the cocktail options and shared her favorites from the menu. The tenderloin was cooked to perfection and the seafood risotto was spectacular."

  • "Wonderful! We have dined here several times and have never had a bad experience!"

  • "This is my sons favorite restaurant, so we went for his 17th birthday. He's a vegetarian and it's not always easy to find places with multiple options. All of the appetizers looked great and we ended up with 3. Fried green tomatoes, watermelon bites with feta, and a fried goat cheese salad. Each was delicious, as was our main courses and dessert. It was a lovely night."
    Dined on 8/1/2014
  • "The Tin Angel staff were great in allowing a good friend and I to take our time dining and catching up. We never felt hurried, like in some restaurants that just want to turn tables. Great meal, too! The vegetable paella was superb!"

  • "Went to Tin Angel on a Wednesday evening to celebrate a birthday. Food and service were both outstanding. Glad to see people eating out; however, noise level was so high that at a table for four, it was difficult to carry on a conversation. Reservations are highly recommended."

  • "Nice restaurant, but we might have caught them on an off night. Fig appetizer was overcooked and dry. Steak frites came out cold. Everything needed salt."
    Dined on 7/27/2014
  • "waitress was poor. had to ask for refills then waited too long for them. wasn't very attentive. polenta crusted trout lacked flavor. peppers topping it were cold and didn't go well with hot fish. orange saffron risotto was excellent. old antique tables are awful to sit at. valet was excellent. couldn't quite figure out what this restaurant was. no manager/owner ever came by to ask how things were. not in a hurry to go back. Mazzianos across the street is better food and service. rather go there or j Alexander's down the street."

  • "Bacon wrapped figs were super delicious! Ended up asking for a second order. Shrimp and Lobster Risotto was excellent!! Med Salad had tons of flavor for a lighter entree. The Bacon Burger looked tasty too. Service was definitely lacking. Sat down and no one came to take our drink orders for quite some time. When she did, she just brought water and walked away. Had to wave her over to get a cocktail, order dinner, get the check, etc. We left happy though... the food definitely made of for the lack of service!!!"

  • "Loved this restaurant. Great food, service & ambience as well as being patient with the kids. The crab cakes and the bacon wrapped figs are to die for !"

  • "This is one of my favorite restaurants in Nashville. While I am disappointed they are no longer open for lunch, their dinner menu is as great as ever. This is a beautiful restaurant and is a great place to sit and visit with friends while having a wonderful dinner. The noise level allows for a conversation which is not always the case in a restaurant. Our waitress was pleasant and friendly. Totally recommend Tin Angel for its food and wonderful ambiance."

  • "Our party of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Tin Angel. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and all of our meals were delicious- chicken, steak, pork, seafood! Our server was friendly and very sweet, just seemed she had too many tables to wait on. We will definitely return"

  • "My husband and I were looking for a romantic evening out while visiting Nashville. We had a lovely dinner here. I had the veal and my husband had the chicken. Both were delicious. The fried green tomato appetizer was also very good as was the strawberry key lime pie. The service was pleasant and the ambiance was nice - low lighting, a large fireplace, exposed brick. Nice place for a special occasion and reasonably priced."

  • "We have lunched or dined at this remarkable restaurant many times over years when we visit Nashville. The food is always wonderful. Dishes are carefully thought out, sourced, prepared and cooked. Recently, the potato crusted flounder and the salmon with orange caper sauce on mint basmati rice were superb. Desserts are lovely to look at and delightful to eat. The atmosphere is convivial and comfortable. The service is friendly and prompt. Wine selections very good without any pretense. This place is always a great choice."

  • "Food is always high quality at Tin Angel. The service we received on our last visit was not very good at all. If it would have been as quality as the food, I would be back much sooner. Don't plan to for a while. There are too many other restaurants in Nashville now that have comparable cuisine and incredible service."

  • "The tin angel was overall enjoyable. This was our first visit. It was quiet and small, not too busy. Food was good but a bit on the expensive size for us. Service was OK she was nice but almost could tell she was just there."
    Dined on 7/11/2014
  • "This is always a great place. My friend who used to live here demands Tin Angel during every visit (and a barbecue place). Pasta Pomodoro and Da Vinci Chicken were wonderful. It's a trusted place for a great dinner without a lot of conceptual nonsense."

  • "always reliiable. well located. one of the older Nashville fine dining restaurants by a long shot. still consistently good with reasonable prices and good service. you can mostly always find a seat. worth a visit if you haven't. worth a revisit if you have forgotten about it ... as I used to tend to do before getting Tin Angel back into my rotation."

  • "Service at the hostess stand was fast and polite. Our server was awesome, attentive and very personable. Food was great. I had the seafood risotto, and although I did find the tomato sauce to be a bit heavy, I enjoyed it. The restaurant itself is also nice, with a romantic kind of ambience with lights that darkened as the night progressed. I would eat at Tin Angel again."

  • "Tin Angel is a special place for me and my wife. It is where I proposed to her. We decided to go yesterday for fun (and due to a discount I found on Amazon Local). The bacon wrapped figs we had as an appetizer were truly one of the best things we've ever tasted. Out entrees (pork for my wife; chicken for me) were excellent as well, as was dessert. Stay special Tin Angel!"
