  • "Great Entrees and wonderful starters...esp crab cakes. We had a wonderful evening. Great food and decent prices!"

  • "always reliiable. well located. one of the older Nashville fine dining restaurants by a long shot. still consistently good with reasonable prices and good service. you can mostly always find a seat. worth a visit if you haven't. worth a revisit if you have forgotten about it ... as I used to tend to do before getting Tin Angel back into my rotation."

  • "What a great place a must stop whenever I am in Nashville service and food were great"

  • "Service at the hostess stand was fast and polite. Our server was awesome, attentive and very personable. Food was great. I had the seafood risotto, and although I did find the tomato sauce to be a bit heavy, I enjoyed it. The restaurant itself is also nice, with a romantic kind of ambience with lights that darkened as the night progressed. I would eat at Tin Angel again."

  • "Tin Angel is a special place for me and my wife. It is where I proposed to her. We decided to go yesterday for fun (and due to a discount I found on Amazon Local). The bacon wrapped figs we had as an appetizer were truly one of the best things we've ever tasted. Out entrees (pork for my wife; chicken for me) were excellent as well, as was dessert. Stay special Tin Angel!"

  • "Excellent and friendly service. Always fresh and delicious food cooked with great care and consideration. I have always loved the salmon dishes. This time was no exception. The restaurant was just a tad noisy but fun."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves for the second time. Everything was delicious. Our server, was a delight and was most helpful remembering us from a former visit & what we ate! Based on our former visit she made recommendations for dinner. Delicious!"

  • "This came recommended by a local. The food was outstanding - everything made in house. The service was wonderful. We will be back if we are ever in the area."

  • "We love Tin Angel, and are thrilled to have a new place to hang out on Sunday nights."

  • "My mom and I came down on Sunday as a small getaway being from louisville. We were seated immediately. I wanted to start off with the bacon wrapped figs. And oh my gosh they were amazing. They had a perfect smoky crisp with a tiny sweetness in the back and the goat cheese made an excellent topper. I ordered a veal ragu and the veal was perfectly balanced by a nice sauce and it was impeccably topped with a nice cool cream. My mom ordered some kind of stuff chicken and while it was perfectly cooked, I liked my veal more. We finished the nice night off with a trip to jenis splendid ice cream. Thanks for a great dining experience."

  • "Bacon wrapped figs to start...my dinner companion enjoyed the BLT wedgie and fried green tomatoes (raved about the horseradish sauce) while I tucked into the shrimp and lobster risotto (you nailed the risotto -- creamy and al dente). The ingredients were fresh -- the presentation uncomplicated -- the taste delicious. A perk was the excellent service provided by our server, Amy."

  • "My second time at the Tin Angel. Terrific Food, knowledgeable wait staff. Lively atmosphere. Always enjoy visiting the Tin Angel when I visit Nashville."

  • "Atmosphere was great, food was good, service was ok. Bartender makes a great cocktail but wines by the glass were a little limited."
    Dined on 6/21/2014
  • "Something is amiss. Our food was bland at best. the fried green tomatoes' only flavor was from the horseradish sauce, and they must have been the greenest anyone could find; actually difficult to cut with the knife. My Med Salad was OK, but not something I would go out of my way to order. My companions' chicken breasts were again bland, and one portion was frankly dry. She was reaching for salt and pepper immediately to impart some flavor. We have always enjoyed the place before - maybe the chef was on vacation? And sweet tea was not available - in Nashville?"

  • "Great food, a real surprise! A little on the noisy side, we sat in the bar area. There was some music on the other side of the restaurant but couldn't really hear it where we were. It was a fun place, reminded me of a pub, but no English beer. Food was wonderful, we had the sampler appetizer, house salads and I enjoyed the potato encrusted flounder while my spouse had the shrimp pasta. We will be back."

  • "Tin Angel was real treat ---- excellent food, good service, and pleasant setting combine to make a lovely place to dine. The menu is varied and creative. The kitchen utilizes local ingredients and offers consistent quality for the money."

  • "We went in on the evening of Father's Day, so it was pretty mellow. The food, service, and ambience were all outstanding. Hadn't been in years but that won't continue. We really enjoyed all aspects."

  • "Love it here. Good staff great food. It is loud though.. Worth the noise"

  • "The food was great, esp the goat cheese salad and the entrees were a good size and delicious. Great spot to celebrate any occasion"

  • "My husband and I chose Tin Angel to celebrate our anniversary after reading some reviews and hearing word of mouth. We were very pleased with our land would return. The service was prompt and courteous, and the waitress went the extra mile to check on meeting my husband's need for a gluten free meal. We shared the bacon wrapped figs with goat cheese as an appetizer and it was mouth-watering! For our entrees I had the Potato Crusted and he had the special, which was Citrus-glazed Salmon. Both had outstanding quality and taste! Sharing creme brulee was a great way to top off an excellent meal."

  • "The food was pretty good, but the service was terrible. Maybe it is just too artsy for us, but we did not enjoy the ambiance. "
    Dined on 6/7/2014
  • "Other than that, I wasn't impressed and a server coming over, leaning on the empty chair and saying "what do you think?" - is not the way to help us order - Also, if a customer clearly hasn't touched her glass of wine, offer something else instead of waiting until you bring the check and asking "didn't you like it?""

  • "The food was very good, the ambience was perfect for a special occasion. My only complaint was that the service was lackluster. We were told four times that the bread was just coming out of the oven and would be at our table momentarily. Ten to fifteen minutes later the bread arrived, after the entrees were served. We had brought a birthday cake to be served and it took another fifteen minutes after our plates had been cleared for the cake to arrive. There was a $2.00 per person cutting fee, which was expected, but it seems that they could have been a little quicker getting it to the table. Pleased with the food not pleased with the service."

  • "The Lobster & Shrimp Risotto was outstanding! We also loved the heirloom tomato salad."

  • "Tin Angel is truly a neighborhood gem. The food and service are both top shelf. The flounder was a treasure and my wife's pork chop was the best. "

  • "Delish...got the chipotle ish. Gouda corn chowder was amazing. I wouldn't pass up the local bites either, great way to sample Nashville via a plate."

  • "Found this restaurant through open table and figured my sister and I would check it out. We ordered the calamari appetizer and it was fantastic, not your typical calamari with a red sauce. Next was the lobster risotto. I have never had a better dish. Very filling and plenty of lobster. Calm atmosphere, excellent service. I will definitely return on my next trip. "

  • "So first off I would like to give kudos for the food. It was exceptional. I had the chicken da Vinci. Chicken was nice and moist plus tons of flavor. The cons of this place was our waitress. She wasn't very friendly. Have a very cold vibe for us. She came to pick up my plate from our appetizer. She didn't ask if I was finished and if she could take it. She just grabbed it. The huge con was when she picked up my plate she turned the knife towards me. If I had moved it could have hurt me. So enjoy the food but not the service. "

  • " The great thing about the Angel is that you never have to wonder if you will be happy with your choice. Speaking of choices, we had the 3 course special for $24 and was great! Only sad they are no longer doing Sunday brunch...now that is a loss to Nashville :("

  • "This was a great last minute find...our server was delightful and very welcoming to us out of towners. Having said that I loved that this was not touristy...our meals were delicious, a relaxing atmosphere to end a long travel day."

  • "We have come to depend on Tin Angel as a reliable dinner spot. Not too expensive and solid. Everyone at our table of four enjoyed the meal. It was a busy night, so service was a bit slow, but it was not a problem since we were with friends."

  • "Tin Angel has been and continues to be a consistent winner. Good food, reasonably priced, good value and good service. With all the new restaurants, we tend to forget our old consistent places in town like Tin Angel, but every time I go, I remember why it has been around for so long. "

  • "My wife and I had dinner here and found the experience truly amazing. Our reservation was ready on time, the staff from the greeting we received, the food, drink and desert recommendations of our server, the quality of the food, the atmosphere in the restaurant from start to finish were fantastic. This is a place the does all they can to keep their fare local and fresh! Amazing! We will be back!"

  • "FANTASTIC MEAL AND GREAT SERVICE. I AM A FAIRLY FREQUENT DINER AT TIN ANGEL AND HAD A PERSON FROM MY COMPANY VISIT FROM OUT OF TOWN AND WANTED TO SHARE THIS GREAT LITTLE RESTAURANT WITH HIM. HE ORDERED THE SALMON AND I ORDERED TROUT (TROUT WAS PART OF THE PRIX FIXE ALONG WITH 'LAUNDRY SALAD'). MY ASSOCIATE TOLD ME IT WAS THE BEST SALMON HE'D EVER HAD. DESSERTS WERE GREAT TOO. "
