Lots of families with kids which I found surprising in the more "adult" environment. Our Friday night experience with only one drink each ran about $140. The type of crowd /age range has changed from year to year. Usually have a Frank Sinatra type band which is a nice addition to the ambience.
Only negative was the time waiting for our food was considerably longer than desired. The food is delicious....they get their beef and cure it and make their cuts themselves. Something seems to have changed, in the past Friday and Saturday had live music...fun place by the bar with couches, that wasn't happening. The only thing I did not like was eating on a paper sheet covering the table cloth (which you may not be able to see in pictures). They are outstanding -- roasted to perfection and seasoned just right. They are served in a sizzling cast iron roasting pan set into a clever metal serving gizmo with a handy bowl underneath to discard the empty shells. A delicious arugala and watercress salad was the perfect accompaniment. And speaking of accompaniments, the lounge band that was there on the night we visited (we heard they're there Mon-Wed nights from 6:30 or 7 on) was a treat. The female vocalist has a gorgeous voice and a great repertoire of just right music! I had one of the best spinach side dishes ever and my bone-in rib eye steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. So delicious!
