First time eating here. Had no idea what to expect. What a great surprise. Staff is very friendly and knowledgable. The food is wonderful. They have a number of good basic items that they put their own twist to and it was fantastic. We had the Ceasar salad with fried corn tortilla which was very good. Made mistake not also getting the quesadilla. That's a must order item. For our entree's we had the pecan smoked chicken which was fantastic along with the best chicken fried steak I ever had. They use hanger steak and it was cooked medium rare with just the right amount of batter. I will be going back and would recommmend this place to anyone that really enjoys good food. Oh yeah, you have to get the cookie tower desert.

The food was great. Our waiter was wonderful. The only problem we had was when we arrived. We got there about 15 minutes before the restaurant opened so they asked us to sit in the bar area. We checked in with the greeter like the confirmation email said we should. When the restaurant opened, they began seating everyone but us,even people who were just walking in at that moment. We waited for about 10 minutes. We finally went to the greeter to ask why we weren't being seated. She said "Oh" like she just forgotten. But she was also goofing around with another girl who was helping her because we could see her from the bar area. So I think she just wasn't paying attention.

Met with a group of girlfriends at Tillman's on Saturday - what great fun! The food was excellent and the waiter was cute and attentive. We loved the sandwiches and the smores were a fitting end to a wonderful visit. We roasted our marshmallows over the fire pots and sang Kumbaya. The restaurant is right in the middle of the Bishop Arts area...if you haven't gone yet, make plans! Great experience! We WILL be back!

A group of 8 friends and I went to Tillman's on Saturday night. I love the rustic charm of this restaurant. The service was impeccable. The waitstaff is very attentive and accomodating. I love their chicken fried steak and all their sides. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for some comfort food with a foodie twist.

My husband and I dined at Tillmans for my birthday this year. We had an 8:15 reservation and got there early so we retreated to the bar to have a few drinks. It was such a nice night we wanted to sit outside so we asked if we could get a table and they quickly accomodated. The service was prompt, the food was great and the atmosphere was casual and fun. We will definitely visit Tillmans again!

I liked the vibe of this place and the food was really yummy with some interesting surprises here and there, like the goat cheese tater tots, the cinnamon-y catsup with the purple french fries, and of course, the smores. I'd read about them but they were even better than I had imagined, the flavored marshmallows were really fun and I always enjoy a communal dining experience like that although I did always get scared when my marshmallow caught on fire!

Coming from a restaurant family I am as picky as it gets when it comes to food and service. The food here is excellent and the service is as well! My wife took some of her meal home and I swear it tasted almost as good the following day. The dining room got too loud for my taste after 9:00pm but that could have been due to alcohol consumption on a Friday night by other patrons. As far as food goes, I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Great Service! Great Food! One of the things that impressed us was that we were never rushed. They didn't bring our salads until we were done with our appetizers and they didn't bring our entrees until we were done with the salads. It's hard to find that in this day and age where the restaurants want to get you in and out as quickly as possible. I will definitely recommend Tillman's Roadhouse.

The food is fabulous, this is a very popular spot. Because of this, even my reservation time was difficult to fulfill. I had a reservation for 8:15, but there weren't any tables available: no one wants to leave this amazing place! So I had to wait until 8:45 to be seated, but they threw ina free appetizer for the long long wait. (it's much worse without a reservation).

Food and Service were terrific! Had guests in from out of town and it was a real Texas atmosphere for them to enjoy. We were there later in the evening and got to enjoy the dancing on the tabletop! What a show! Would recommend this restaurant for great menu and atmosphere. Loved appetizers and desserts, too. Reserved table was ready when we arrived which I also appreciated.

Our waiter was friendly and made the experiece pleasant, but unfortunately, service declined as the evening progressed. Long waits between courses, hence the "fair" rating. Still, we really like this unique and fun place, refreshingly "real" in sometimes too-slick Dallas. And the food's great!

I always have a great experience at TIllman's! It is definitely one of my favorite restaurants. I went for Valentine's Day this past Sunday with my partner and we had a good experience. The only complaint I have is that we ordered the Surf and Turf special which in our opinion was extremely overpriced. We were not full at all by the end of the meal. I could have eaten that entire plate myself. There should have at least been 2 lobster tails or something, or it should have been about $25 cheaper than what it was. Don't get me wrong, it tasted amazing, but there could have just been bigger portions for $75.

I suggested Tillman's Roadhouse for a group of 8 on Valentine's Day. I was the only one who had previously dined there and everyone raved about the experience. Every person loved their food, including the trio of fries and S'mores that we all shared. Several who said they didn't care if we ordered S'mores did a great job of helping us polish off every last bite.

Our experience was NOT GOOD. To avoid crowds our reservations were at 5 p.m. First impression at the door was disappointing. No staff to greeting guest which resulted in confusion. Setting was INCREDIBLY CLOSE AND INTRUSIVE. Although there were many empty spaces we were seated along the wall between 2 other customers. (this was obviously to help the staff in serving). We immediately knew that we were not able to talk without including the couples next to us. The most disappointing thing about the experience was that our waiter had an extremely STRONG BODY ODOR. Because of these negatives we were not able to stay for dinner. We will NOT BE RETURNING to Tillmans on any occasion.

I love Tillman's Roadhouse and have been there for lunch many times. I tried dinner for the first time the other night. We started in the bar and Moses was wonderful. The drinks were great and Moses created a shot for our group. The chips and dips at the bar were also great. When we ordered dinner, the wait staff was great and attentive. We ordered from the "fill me up" menu and the portions were disappointing. The food was indeed delicious but the portions were more single person portions rather than what I expected when ordering from a "Fill Me Up" section. I will not return for dinner but will continue to go to Tillman's for lunch. The value for the dollar is just not worth it at dinner.

What a well hidden secret place I have found. Really one of the best meals I have had by far. The presentation of the food was exceptional. No need for condiments here as the flavor speaks for itself. The ribeye melt in your mouth and the goat cheese tator tots (how do they do that)were to die for. This was my third visit to Tillman's. I took two friends for a birthday lunch. Service was great, food was great, but the music became too loud and obnoxious. I started to complain to the management, but didn't want to be "one of those people". Overall we had a great time at Tillman's and enjoyed the food. The wait staff was on top of things and did a great job in a uniquely themed setting.
