Diner Reviews
  • "Tiki Terrace is known for its Sunday brunch. There is an amazing array of food! From salads to hot main dishes to made-to-order omelets, French toast, and desserts, it really has everything one might possibly want! If you enjoy a limitless buffet, this is the place!"

  • "Food awful! Nothing more to add; my review's title says it all!!"

  • "Loved the Lamb Chops! Surprised to also see entertainment from the stage during dinner. This place is not very fancy but great value for the good quality food!"

  • "This was a highlight of our Maui trip! We especially enjoyed the Hawaiian music and hula dancers -- fun with an authentic feel. We ordered the traditional Hawaiian meal, and although it was a little bland for our taste, it was an interesting experience. The pina colada cheesecake (probably not traditional Hawaiian fare) was a real treat. We found the prices very reasonable given the ambiance including beautiful outdoor beach views."

  • "Loved all the food choices and background of steel guitar festival. Vintage Hawaii experience"

  • "The Terrace is a good restaurant with nice wait staff and reasonably good food at decent prices. In addition to a good meal, the added great is seeing the free nightly hula shows with traditional Hawaiian music. Housed in one of the oldest hotels on Ka'anapali Beach, the Terrace offers dependable though sometimes slow dining fun."

  • "Good selection of food choices, mostly good quality. good live music , efficient service to start then a little slow to clear plates etc & refill water. Pleasant way to fill a few hours."

  • "The emphasis is on quantity (of selections) vs. quality. Vast array of breakfast items including made to order omelets, fantastic sausages and a carving station offering leg of lamb (overcooked and dry) ham and prime rib. No hash browned potatoes or bacon. There was a good selection of fresh fruit as well as a chocolate fountain to dip strawberries into. Would have preferred to have been offered Spam Musubi instead of the poorly prepared sushi rolls. "FREE FLOWING CHAMPAGNE" is now limited to one glass. each additional glass costs $5. Note at the host stand says this is due to State of HI laws. The price of the Champagne Brunch should have been adjusted accordingly or only charge $1 for extra glass of bubbles."

  • "Had Sunday brunch at 11:00. The brunch started at 9:00am and the hot food in the warming pans tasted dried out and not fresh. There was a huge selection: omlets, carving station (good), seafood, and a lot of other hot items in warming pans. Lots of of desserts. A huge selection of mediocre food for $39.95. The wait staff was very friendly and there was live music and hula dancers"

  • "We ate here for our anniversary dinner and it was a wonderful experience. They even treated us to a complimentary desert. The show was very nice and the ambiance was lovely."

  • "We go about once a month to enjoy the setting and have mimosas for Sunday brunch. Food is only average."

  • "We went to the Tiki Terrace for the Sunday champagne brunch. There was a ton of food to choose from, but much of it was not good quality or flavor. Items which were excellent were the waffles and prime rib. The service was excellent (they are serious about the champagne being "free flowing" :) ), and the day we went there was a band playing which was very enjoyable. It was a beautiful setting."

  • "Food is ok but i am really annoyed that they refuse to honor your dining certificates. I have tried twice and complained to OpenTable. They need to be dropped from OpenTable."
    Dined on 2/17/2013
  • "Quality food at reasonable price, but a little short on the ambiance (restaurant is under a tent). The bonus was a great dinner hula/music show!"
    Dined on 1/15/2013
  • "The food was average and a bit overpriced. The wedding that was taking place on the patio took over the microphone of the live band and it was pretty awful. Picture a tryout of American Idol. The server was amazing. He even ran me down to the parking lot to give me something I had left at the table."

  • "Food was ok, but service was very slow and unattentive. Has to ask for bread 2 times and had to send back a med rare steak as it came well done. Never asked if we wanted another drink, had to ask for soda refills, etc. Mai Tai was the worst I had on the island.Lots of good restaurants in Maui and there is nothing special about this place. Listening to the music while eating is nice, but lots of restaurants near there have live music as well. I would suggest going elsewhere."

  • "Christmas dinner is perhaps not the best for judging a restaurant, but food and service were mediocre on this visit. Typical mass-produced Hawaiian buffet did not meet expectations generated by online reviews. Waitstaff seemed eager to go home and started taking down adjacent tables and chairs before we finished our meal."

  • "The menu is outstanding and the service is the best. Ask for Jen!"

  • "You dine outside, under a canopy, in the rear of the small outdoor Amphitheatre. There is a low key Hawaiian band/show playing. The service and tastes were great, prices a good value. There were a number of appetizers we wanted to try but we settled on the pork tostada. It was very good yet different, and filling for two people. Our entrees were excellent: surf and turf,(with the crab/artichoke stuffed prawns), and the coconut shrimp. They also have the stuffed shrimp as an appetizer and an entrée by itself. The waiter was excellent, attentive but not overbearing. Food service was at the right pace. We ended the evening by moving up a little closer to the stage and finishing our bottle of champagne over a few songs and a dance."

  • "Took advantage of the early bird special. Smaller portions and well prepared. Waitstaff excellent."

  • "This was a fun place to enjoy Thanksgiving. The food was very good and there were many selections for main courses including traditional Thanksgiving turkey, seafood, and meat dishes. The dessert selection was somewhat limited as they ran out of more popular pies - or at least didn't replace them expeditiously. The live Hawaiian music (with an explanation of the history of the songs) was great."

  • "Somewhat disappointing. Service barely adequate. Food nondescript. Entertainment while we ate was a nice touch Will not return."

  • "The Food was great. The service was not so good. I went with my Opentable Points check to try the brunch out. The server wouldnt take my check so I called over the manager the manager was not helpful at all they were still refusing to take my check. I then had to go out of my way to get cash from an ATM to pay for my bill. I later then called Opentable customer service to ask about the situation. The agent I spoke with said that every Opentable Restaurant is obligated to take the check and process it as a travelers check. Overall the food was great but the service and management was very poor."

  • "The view was not bad. We had an outdoor seat which was under an awning, so it was shaded. There were 2 hawaiian guys playing nice hawaiian music during brunch. There was a sliver of an ocean view. The sunday brunch had a lot of food, from crab legs, shrimp, clams, prime rib to fried rice, poke, kalua pork, lau lau, and tons of desserts. It was a nice spread but a little on the pricey side at $36.95 per person. It did come with unlimited champagne though."

  • "The hostess was very unfriendly which unfortunately set the tone for he rest of the night... We enjoyed truly "authentic" Hawaiian fish and chicken which was a wonderful meal. The show during dinner was truly delightful and a great benefit for kids..."

  • "Very cute, this place has an old Hawaii island feeling."

  • "The food here is yummy and there was efficient ,but not wonderful. We enjoy watching the hula dancers and music. It is actually priced nice for a hotel restaurant my rib eye was $26 and my husband fish special was $31. We did eat every morsel on our plates. And we were in and out in 1 hour!"

  • "My wife and I went for the Sunday brunch on April 29, 2012 having never been to the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel or this restaurant previously. The food was excellent in both variety and quality. The service was very attentive without being intrusive. If you enjoy champagne you'll appreciate that they never let your glass get empty. The live music was a real plus and it did make us feel like we were back in the Hawaii of 20+ years ago. We looked at the regular breakfast buffet and were not impressed. If you go, do the Sunday brunch. It may seem expensive at $36.95 but it's not for what you get."

  • "If the slack guitar festival had not been going on, the rating would be less. The service was excellent, the ambience was great but the food pedestrian at best! For $40 per person we should have looked for a different restaurant."
    Dined on 4/22/2012
  • "The brunch was delightful on the terrace, serenaded by slac-key band. Many island favorites, some quite good, others OK. For the location, the price was reasonable."
    Dined on 4/22/2012
  • "Tacky decor, but great service. The lounge act (crooners) were quite good. It was fun once, but we won't go back. There are better places to spend your money on food; it was a bit expensive for what you got."
    Dined on 4/1/2012
  • "I would like to do a bad review just to keep the tourist away from what seems to be a bit of a hidden gem :) Our 3 visit in a year and its still great; if your looking for good food; great service and a bit of old school Maui you have to check it out"

  • "Celebrated Valentines day with husband. we live here and love the restaurant. the food is great and so reasonably priced. only issue is u order food and wine fr server but still have to wait for a cocktail waitress who serves pool area too to come by so you can get a beer or cocktail"

  • "I love it! dinner was awesome, and the hula show was amazing. for sure we will be back when we go back to mauii. It was a great expeience that everyone should do when they go to mauii. Great food and entertainment at the same time for the same price is priceless!"
