The wait staff were helpful + personal.My sister forgot her reading glasses so a loaner appeared!
The menu was extensive; they let us choose from their dinner menu in addition to their lunch specials. My family went on and on about how delicious their beef courses were. The portions were on the small side but PLENTY and probably the amounts that are recommended for a healthier waistline. Next time i'd like to try their Fava Polenta dish. It looked good b/c veg. w/protein. The desserts were fantastic and rare ie the "salame" is never available in other establishments. Try the "Meringe..".It was excellent. Priceshigh end but organic and "free trade products" are not inexpensive. Then came the freshest salads - I particularly liked kale in among the greens. Then I had pork which was tender and flavorful. It was on a puree of (I think) potato and apple. I might have liked more greens with it, but it was a delightful lunch dish. Our 8:15pm table for six was "accidentally" given away to someone else so when we arrived they didn't have our reservation. However they quickly made a space for us and accommodated our group. The service was poor though and I had to ask for things like a fork and salt and sat there a while my husband had his food already. Two different people came over and brought us the wrong order two times as well and they obviously weren't quite organized. The food, when it finally came, was very very good. They were very busy. The food is excellent and the menu has a surprising amount of choices for both vegetarians and meat-lovers for such a small restaurant.
