Food was absolutely amazing, great selection of food and wines. Service was good as well. Restaurant was small and quaint, good vibe albeit a bit noisy when full. Make sure you try one of their salami boards. One salami board & an appetizer is more than enough for two people.

My third visit proved to be the best. Atmosphere is charming, tables are close which I usually don't mind except in this case, nothing absorbs sound so it can be noisy. Food is fabulous. The meat and cheese boards are exceptional and not-to-be missed. Explanations were good of what to do with honey, jam and why they were brought out with the meat and cheese platter. Pinot Grigio was perfectly chilled. Peach, tomato and onion salad unique and flavorful. Everything so fresh and good.

This is an amazing restaurant. The food is always outstanding, the service great, and the portions reasonable. This is not a place to go if you're in a hurry. If you want to sit, relax, really taste your food and enjoy your company, this is the place for you! One small complaint is that it can get quite noisy, especially on a weekend night. Lunch is much better.

This was a very nice restaurant, and the wait staff was so friendly! The place is small, so book a table ahead of time, and because of the size it's also kind of loud. The food was incredible, but the main courses took some time so be sure to order an appetizer or a salad.

We are spending the summer dining at restaurants in the small towns on the Peninsula ... south of San Francisco. Everybody knows about the many great restaurants in The City but we wanted to see what the "local" restaurants had to offer. Tigelleria in Campbell is a real treasure !! It is authentic, honest, delicious Italian cuisine run by the nicest Italians you could ever meet. Do you have a tug to go to Italy but the airfares are too high? No problem ... go to Tigelleria and you will be transformed for the night.

Pre-fixed lunch menu is a blessing. Three organic courses for 14.99. I got a delicious cutting board called "Etrusco": a conbination of cheese and meats that went perfectly with their "Tigella" signature bread (which they told me is freshly backed at the moment). This is the BEST ITALIAN RESTAURANT in the Bay Area period! The food is amazing. I recommend their red beets salad ant the Agnolotti!!! Their specialties, though, are the "Taglieri" platters. I liked my S.P.Q.R with tons of Tigella bread. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. Don't leave before trying the desserts. I liked my Tiramisu' but my GF's Strawberry Shortcake, made with organic strawberries and cream, was unforgettable.

The food was wonderful. The "Siciliana" salad, with blood oranges, fennel, and hazelnuts, was truly exceptional. The meat plate we had in between courses was also excellent and a great value, packed with salami and prociutto with a wonderful jam and some roasted garlic. Dined on 6/20/2009
After spending 3 weeks in Italy a few years back, I had been missing authentic Italian cuisine. There are plenty of Italian restaurants in the Bay Area, but none that come close to matching the authenticity of a true Italian slow, enjoyable, delicious dining experience like Tigelleria. I happily bring friends and family here as often as possible, This place is great for first dates, friendly gatherings, family dinners and anniversary's. I can bring my 9 year old here and she loves this place, (but she is relatively quiet). There have not been many other children here when I come in, but it is most assuredly kid-friendly for family dining. The wine selection is amazing and the food is all mouthwatering and worth every penny!

I have dined twice now at Tigelleria and I've had a wonderful dining experience both times. The ambience, service, and especially the food are exceptional. When I was small my cousin's Italian grandmother used to make the best homemade gnocci (I'm pretty picky about what constitutes good gnocci) Their gnocci reminds me of Nona's - it's delicious. It is best to make a reservation in advance as the restaurant is small and fills up fast due to it's popularity.

i made a mistake on my reservation and tried to modify it so i could get my open table points, the lady who i wont name said sorry you cant do that because your already here and it cost us 1.50 when someone makes open table reservations so she only acknowledged us as a walk in. She was rude and condescending so I suggested I could walk out and walk back in in 15 min with a new reservation and she acted like they were booked for the night. I went on my phone and sure enough they were far from booked. So basically, for 3 bucks they would pay opentable, she decided to be rude and cheap and lose 100 bucks at least plus tip. I will not be coming back. I understand her point, but bottom line from a business and service she was 100% rude&outofline

We had a wonderful evening at Tigelleria! Starting with a basket of Tigelle and 3 delicious sauces, we enjoyed an order of bruschetta with peppers. Our salads were so fresh and good. Mine was baby arugula and mango, and my husband's was tomato and mozzarella. For our main course, my husband ordered the Agnolotti in a cream sauce, and I decided on the homemade sausages with grapes. Both were delicious! The wine selection is definately notable. We chose a red from Italy, Corte Sant'Alda Valpolicella 2007. It was very dry and was a good accompaniment to our main entrees. The service, by our waiter, Marco, was excellent. We look forward to our next evening at Tigelleria. Carol and Gary Larson

We were very disappointed. The food was just OK, nothing great. The best part of the entire meal was the free little flatbread and spread that they bring to you in the beginning. Service was slow. It takes a lot of time between serving the courses. Good thing the server asked if they could bring a couple of courses up at the same time. My husband was really looking forward to this restaurant, as he had been to Northern Italy on business trips and raved about the food there. We knew the food would be different from your usual Italian food, as Northern Italian food tends to have lighter sauces, but we were still disappointed.

This is my second Tigelleria visit. A friend of mine took me here a couple of weeks ago and it's easy to see why I couldn’t wait to come back. The first time was on a busy Friday. This time I decided to take my time and enjoy dinner on a calmer Tuesday night. And what an enjoyment it was! The ambience is unique and complements the food perfectly. I had Lasagna with Ragu'. The béchamel was perfectly executed and the spinach pasta layers perfectly cooked. I decided not to follow the recommend pairing and went for a glass of Chianti Classico and it turned out to be an excellent choice. What a little gem: highly recommended!

This was a very unique menu, with a lot of attention to detail. I would have appreciated a little more attentive service, but now that I recall, it reminded me of Italy. We could have stayed there until they closed -- we never felt pushed to leave, even though every table was filled and people were waiting in the small entry. It's a darling restaurant with a unique and functional design. I was really impressed with the food. A group of us shared the mango salad and a cucumber salad -- outstanding. The Involtini di Pollo was a beautiful memory. Ciao!

This was my second trip to Tigelleria. It was a bit disappointing. I ordered the beet salad (Rossa), which turned out to be made with what looked like canned beets! In any case it was a mound of cubed beets with some greens on the side and a couple chunks of goat cheese tossed on top. Long on quantity, but... I shared the Amatriciana and the Sangiuannedd'. The Amatriciana was okay, but not in any way special. The Sangiuannedd' seemed to have been made with canned sardines (why, when fresh sardines are so easy to get in the Bay area, is beyond me). All in all a mediocre meal.
