  • "I went to Tibet Nepal House with my wife, daughter, son-in-law and 10-month old grandchild. The atmosphere was very traditional and colorful, the service very good and the food was excellent, plus it was very reasonably priced. Some of the dishes were mild enough for a baby just starting to eat solid food, others were intense and spicy. Overall, we all enjoyed our meal and will be back again soon."

  • "I'm pretty sure "yak" is just the Tibetan name for "beef." The Yak Momo were perfectly edible, but nothing special. I've had much better dumplings in run-of-the-mill Asian restaurants. The entrees left nothing to complain about but nothing to particularly praise. Seasoning was on the bland side, though to be fair I'm not certain what constitutes the "standard" level of spice in Nepalese cuisine. Service for our party of seven was competent but perfunctory. In all, not what I would call a memorable night out in Pasadena."

  • "I love the relaxed feel of this place - like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. I have many friends that are vegan and vegetarians and this place accommodates then very nicely and me as well, being a carnivore. It can get pricey as everything is a la carte but must say worth it. I love that it is off the beaten path of Colorado Blvd and very close to the 210 frwy. It's a real win in location and restaurant."

  • "The food was very very good - and seemed very authentic (never having been to Nepal/Tibet or the Himalayas) - they serve Yak! Many dishes were large enough for sharing. Great place to go if you love spicy food -although there are mild dishes on the menu as well. Very friendly service. Parking can be an issue - there is one small lot on the corner of Fair Oaks and Holly and street parking if you can get it."

  • "Looking to try something a little different we were intrigued by the menu. We started with the Chicken Momo (dumplings). They were served with a nicely seasoned achaar (dipping sauce). I elected to try the Yak Stew which included potatoes and nicely seasoned with Himalayan spices. The broth is what made this dish savory. My wife tried the Coconut Shrimp nicely seasoned in a creamy curry like sauce. Our dishes were accompanied with mixed fried rice with egg, lamb, chicken and vegetables. Normally I limit my intake of rice dishes but we were both racing to get the last bite. The service was very attentive and we were asked if the seasoning of our dishes was satisfactory. We are looking forward to trying other dishes when we return again."

  • "Nice quiet place with lovely, spicy food. The sauce that accompanied the momo (dumplings) was rich and spicy and complemented the momo perfectly. We tried two naans and both were beautifully flaky. The vegetable curries had just the right amount of heat. The person who ordered the Himalayan spiced soup asked for spicy and it was a truly scorching, yet delicious. We haven't tried the lunch buffet yet, but it sounds like a real bargain. We plan to return to try more items. A tip: If you live in the area, they also deliver."

  • "We loved this restaurant. Its design recalls trips to Tibet; its food is better--fresh, hot, well seasoned and suited to a range of western tastes. The vegetarian was imaginative, the chicken tandoori piping hot, the many types of naan more abundant than we'd ever seen. Plus the menu boasts beer from all over the region. The staff was accommodating to our big group. The price is right too. Try it out. Maybe you'll be braver than we and go for the yak."

We ordered things to be spicy and we were not disappointed. Things were not as greasy as they often are at Indian restaurants, and my family really enjoyed the food. The Masala Chai pot was perfect, too, and we sweetened it to our liking."

  • "The all-you-can-eat buffet is good for the price but I think their regular menu is tastier. I personally like the Lamb Saag--it's like curry without all the spiciness--if you're into that. The price is reasonable and it's a nice little hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Dinner can get hectic so make reservations. Lunch is generally quiet."

  • "An interesting change of pace. Disappointed in the daal as it was very watery and had hardly any flavor. Naan and mixed tandoori plate were very good as were the yak dumplings. My husband was chastised for asking for ice tea refills and told that they only refilled twice. Since the glass was 3/4 ice, there was not that much to begin with."
